Kelsey's Restaurant, Irish Pub, Banquet Room
Over the past 17 years, we have made every effort to live up to these standards and are proud to be known as "Your Neighborhood Meeting Place!"
A reservation was made for a table for 4. When I arrived my party was put in the banquet room at a "community" table of 10. Of course there was nothing they could do as it was their St. Patrick's Day dinner. When I make a reservation I expect to have a table not a community table. The community table should be for walk-ins and not reservations. Our waitress was wonderful and I can only offer praise for her. We all ordered the corned beef and cabbage. Mine came out flooded with a sauce that drenched the meat, cabbage and mashed potatos. There was literally a well of sauce. The corned beef was good and at a good temperature. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm and the cabbage was cold. At this point I just ate the meal and could not wait to leave. I found this to be a very unenjoyable experience, not at all like the times we have previously been there.
Excellent food, fun environment. We were seated quickly and the service was great. We had s party of 6 and had an excellent time!
We always have a good time at Kelsey's - the food is good - from the flavorful Irish standards to some of the chef's own inventions. Funny story about our last visit: We arrived without a reservation at 5:50 p.m. without a reservation and was told we would have a 90 minute wait. In the parking lot, I opened Open Table and found a 6:00 reservation. I booked it - we turned around and went back and in a few minutes, were seated at our table. I guess they save tables for Open Table. It really paid to look!
What happened to the fish and chips? No where near as good as it used to be. 😟
Appetizers weee $3 off if one ate in but full price if carryout. Any discount should apply to carryout also. Food was good
The staff was considerate and attentive to our special seating needs. The food was good, and we’ll go back.
Nice atmosphere and excellent food. This is my second time here and both times the food and service was really good.
I've never had a bad experience at Kelsey's, but the last few times we've been there have been great. From food to service to atmosphere. This is our first time eating in the dining room (we usually eat in the bar area) and it was very nice. They sat us next to fireplace which was nice on a cold night, very cozy and quiet even though it was fairly crowded. The waitress and other staff were excellent, we didn't want for anything. Overall great experience, we will be back for sure.
Once again another great experience at Kelsey's. The food was excellent, my husband loves the Shepard's Pie, it's done right. I love the salad options, I had the Beets and Brie salad with grilled chicken. That salad is my favorite with the cheese, apples, it's yummy. The highlight of the food was a Caramel and Bacon Cheesecake, that's right, bacon. It was amazing, I don't like bacon, but love cheesecake, the combination was so good. Our waiter, Jeremy, is the best. Drinks stayed filled, we weren't rushed and courses came out timely. The restaurant was full and he was managing several tables but no one was forgotten. We had him before, he's so happy and does a great job, he cares. Kudos to the management too, we've noticed that you guys take a very active role. We've seen you pick up the slack when the staff is running flat out. We've seen you take care of issues that others had and handle them quite well. Kelsey's is really a nice place to go to for dinner!
We love Kelsey's, the Shepherd's Pie is really yummy. The Poached Pear Salad is excellent, love the vinaigrette on it. Our waiter, Jeremy (?) was excellent, keeping our drinks filled, and being attentive. It's a wonderful place for a casual dinner. My only complaint was being sat at a table in the middle, near the door (cold wind blew through every time the door opened), several tables away from the door were available. The meal itself was wonderful.
Kelsey's continues to provide a wide menu of many great entrees and sandwiches. This latest visit we had people ranging in age of 15 to 53 and ALL raved about their individual entrees!
One of my favorite restaurants.
We arrived and our table was ready, perfect! Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was scrumptious, and the beer and wine selection was enough to please our whole group. Will definitely be back!
Delicious food -friendly staff. Enjoyed Valentine’s Day!
Good food good service
The meal was delicious. The food was rich and they gave good portions. Plenty of free parking in the lot. I liked the cozy decor on the restaurant side and the fire place. The place was packed but we didn't feel cramped. The server was very attentive but still gave me and my friend the space we needed. We lost track of time but the staff was not rude about kicking us out. Overall a very pleasant first time experience and I definitely plan to come again.
Always a great experience eating at Kelsey’s!
The food was great . Neighborhood bar atmosphere . Staff was extremely friendly
We were pleased and relieved at the attention we received making sure that our disability needs were met.
We had a great experience! Food was great. Micheal was an excellent server! We will definitely be back.
My family and I had a great experience here. We came on a Saturday evening and the service was prompt and the people friendly. The only issue we had was trying to decide what we each wanted, because there were so many delicious-sounding options on the menu! We were all pleased with our meals and have decided we will definitely be returning so we can try those other items on the menu that caught our eyes. Their beer cheese dip with the pretzels was quite a tasty appetizer. Beyond that, we got their Mac-n-cheese, a beer cheese burger, the meat loaf, and a crab-cake sandwich. Everyone was very happy with their meals. The portion sizes were plenty large (three of us brought home leftovers), and the fries on the side were perfectly crisped and salted. I would definitely recommend, and this will likely become a staple when my family visits.
Restaurant Week Special: Pork Shank was a little dry at times, could have used some liquid or sauce on the plate. Calamari was too peppery for my taste, but my taste is not most people's taste. Crab/Corn Chowder and Chocolate/Raspberry Cheese Cake were excellent.
Food was excellent. I had the chicken pot pie which was seasoned perfectly.
Our server was very attentive.
It was a little loud because of the football game.
Kelsey's is a great pub with amazing Irish food. The service is good, portions are big, and it is comfort food. On cold days the Sheperds Pie or Chicken Pot Pie will warm you up. The salad selections are really good, I had a salad with a poached pear, goat cheese, pomegranate seeds, and candied pecans on arugula and spinach. It was incredible! I recommend reservations on weekends, they are popular with locals.
A friend invited us to lunch and chose Kelsey’s. Our waitress, Linda, was very nice, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed talking with her about the restaurant’s specialties many years ago.
The fish and chips were hot and crispy with good flavor. The Reuben was a large sandwich with good sauerkraut; however, the corned beef was very sinewy, not fatty, just tough and thickly sliced. The oyster sandwich was good but too much breading.
I am sure we will dine there again. I wouldn’t get the Reuben though.
It was a friendly restaurant and our waitress was very nice. I would give it a 3.5 overall.
Quickly sat, prompt service. Fantastic food.
I was greeted by Taylor and promptly seated when I arrived for my meeting. Taylor was nice, courteous, patient and energetic. Food came out as ordered and we were left to conduct our meeting with minimal disturbance. Taylor was very attentive. We ended up staying after we completed our meal; Taylor and the staff continued to check in on us.
We will return.
Our staff person was amazing!
Very polite, friendly and accommodating.
We always enjoy Kelsey’s, our server Amanda was particularly on the ball this visit and was great.
We brought our friends to Kelsey's for a post-Christmas get together. They had never been and enjoyed it, especially the chicken pot pie, which I had highly recommended. We are never disappointed when we dine at Kelsey's.
Service was outstanding, entries were tasty and portions very good. Value
We look forward to our lunches at Kelsey's in the back room where we meet every 60 days or so. service by Diana was perfect. Food was very good.
I took a friend to dinner as a "gratitude" evening. She had the shepherd's pie, which she loved and I had your incredible chicken pot pie. Please always keep the pot pie on your fall and winter menu. I have had it numerous times and it is consistently delicious. I wish I could duplicate the flavor, but then I wouldn't come to Kelsey's just for my pot pie "fix". :) Also, thanks for extending the happy hour to the dining room. Kelsey's, a neighborhood gem, is like our Cheers. Always welcoming, always comfortable. Tell Phil Bowie Hi from Sandy, the nurse. :)
Kelsey's does what it does, consistently well. It's the MacDonald's of Irish sports pub restaurants: customer expectations are met every time. The Irish specialties are just that: special. Pretty empty for a Sunday brunch; I imagine this place rocks when sports are on TV.
We had lunch with former neighbors … good food, not noisy, friendly waitress, reasonable prices … great time!
Excellent service, wonderful Chicken Pot Pie and Wongs with honey Old Bay sauce.
I had a seasonal specialty of chicken over gnocchi with a pumpkin sauce and it was AMAZING!!! Everyone else in my party enjoyed their choices as well.
Brunch with family on Sunday at Noon. 5 of us were seated in a generous space near the fireplace. The menu was reasonably interesting with a selection of omelets and benedicts. Also, there was the usual assortment of lunch items. We ordered an Irish omelet, a vegetable omelet, and one each of the benedicts regular, Irish, and crab. I had the Irish omelet which was quite good. There were comments from the family that their food was excellent.
Desert was offered and accepted. A creme brulee and chocolate volcano cake were shared amongst all.
All in all, a very pleasant experience.
I was disappointed in the service. Our waitress took 10 minutes to greet our table. It took over 10 more minutes to get drinks. Our food took over 35 minutes. We hardly saw our waitress. They were out of dessert. We were there for a birthday and very disappointed in our visit.
Food took forever and was horrible! Fish in fish and chips was way over cooked, mushy fries. Same for my colleague’s food. The service was great, but doesn’t make up for the food being horrible after a ridiculously long wait.
we all had fish and chips--ver tasty. highly recommend
