Killen’s Steakhouse enforces a strict business casual dress code. We do not allow beachwear, cut off shorts, flip flops, gym attire including sweatpants, sweatshirts or hoodies. Certified Executive Chef Ronnie Killen has returned to his home town after training at Le Cordon Bleu and honing his culinary skills throughout the U.S. Our hand-cut steaks are cooked to perfection on a state of the art infrared broiling system that seals in the natural juices of the steak, creating a one of a kind “melt in your mouth” experience. All of our food is prepared fresh daily, using only the finest produce and freshest ingredients.     We seated in a timely manner. The server, Randy, was attentive and ensured that our experience was enjoyable. The only downside was the shrimp and fries entrée were overcooked. Randy worked to correct the issue, but the retry produced similar results.

    Once again, dinner was lovely! This remains our go-to dining experience for celebrations of all kinds. We had the pork belly and the Wagyu with chimichurri skewers for apps. Very different from each other but both were tasty. I had the dry aged NY strip and the hubs had the Akaushi filet. If the Tuxedo cake is on the dessert menu when you visit, split it with a friend!! You will be glad you did. Only disappointment was not being seated with our favorite server despite making that request at the time of booking. Of course, you are in excellent hands with any of the staff at the fine dining establishment.

    From the humble beginnings at the converted family Ice House on 35, Chef Ronnie has continued to build his legacy of quality and consistency. Since that initial dining experience nearly two decades ago, the benchmark for a great steak has been a high bar to cross. From New York to Chicago, Seattle and Newport Coast, their finest cannot compare!

    Extremely disappointed, took my boyfriend for his birthday dinner. We usually do Pappas Steakhouse but thought we’d give Killen’s a try. Our food took over an hour to come out, I ordered a medium filet mignon, he ordered a medium rare ribeye. What came out was a well done filet and a med well ribeye. Sides were luke warm at best and not much flavor. I had to send back my filet and ordered a bisque instead which was just okay. The manager was no where in sight. Our server was nice but overall experience was definitely not what you’d expect from a steakhouse. For the price point this place is definitely not worth it. My suggestion, skip it and try Pappas for an experience that’s actually worth the money.

    No doubt you can get an excellent meal here. My gripe is that it was more than an hour from the time we ordered until the food arrived. We arrived at 7:00 pm and ordered an appetizer which came quickly. Then we ordered dinner and waited an inordinate amount of time.

    The food and atmosphere don't even approach being worth the cost. Ambience is lacking, two of our four dishes were cold when they hit the table (duck, risotto), and the prices were outrageous. Killen's STQ on Voss is so vastly superior an experience; shame it's progenitor doesn't hold a candle.

    Crab cakes, wagyu strip flight, skillet potatoes, creamed spinach and a crème brûlée, amazing dinner! Paul our waiter was also perfect, even the valet guy and hostess that sat us made the entire evening a perfect dinner.

    First time here for date night the cranberry bread they brought out was warm and tasty crabcake with jumbo shrimp for appetizer small portion for $30 but was very good my 16 ounce wet aged ribeye steak $68 was excellent one of the best steaks I’ve ever had seasoned and cooked perfect / my husband had the uvalde 16 ounce ribeye steak $150 he enjoyed it I had a bite of it not to my liking different texture and not much flavor I prefer the steak I had over his / lobster Mac n cheese delicious / lots of wine options / our waiter Larry was very knowledgeable and great service / they kept our table clean and water glasses full / definitely recommend!

    I always enjoy Killen's with great steaks, service and ambiance. This time I had a snapper, which was excellent. All others had steak and said they were great. The waiter was exemplary; attentive, helpful and great personality. Negatives: The noise level is rather high for a high-class restaurant. Also, my son ordered beer and had to take his third (or fourth) choice because the others on the menu were not available.

    Fantastic meal for our 15th wedding anniversary! Our server, Paul, was really great! He gave great recommendations and was extremely attentive and made sure our evening was fantastic. The food was amazing! The only suggestion I would maybe make would be to turn the lighting down just a tad in the dining room. It felt a little too bright for a romantic date night, but that's really just nit picking. Overall, a wonderful experience that we would be happy to have again.

    This was our 2nd time here, the first time did not go well but we decided to give it another try. Well it wasn’t much better the second time around and this time it was the same as the first time, the service. I will say the food and ambience are great at this restaurant, but the service is not great. Both times we went, both of our servers were not very engaging and seemed bothered by questions we had pertaining to the menu. I’m sorry but you’re on the service industry and that’s part of the job description, so I feel if you work in that space, you should be a little more understanding. Also it doesn’t hurt to smile. Needless to say, we will not be going back due to the service we’ve received twice. We’d rather make the drive into Houston to Vic & Anthony’s or a Fleming as we’ve had outstanding service at both places. Maybe it’s time for some return to learn training at Killen’s when it comes to servicing the customer.

    I've been to your place 7or 8 times. I always bring several friends. Your food & service are the best, but your ambience leaves a bit to be desired. Your center well, where you seat most diners. is exceedingly noisy, even when lightly populated. The time before this last time I was there, the hostess was very accommodating & let me & my party sit in the upper tier, in the corner, above the kitchen. It was great. I spent over $1,100. We were able to enjoy conversation & each other. This last time, I requested the same table, when I booked the reservation, but when I reminded the hostess that I wanted that table, she informed me that we couldn't have it because the upper tier is reserved for WALK-INS! Seriously? I made a reservation for 5 people. I spent over $1,700 & yet I couldn't have the seating I wanted? The hostess insisted the crowd would be light & we would not be inconvenienced. This as NOT the case. It was impossible to hear what a person across the table was saying. I was very disappointed. In fact, I'm seriously considering not coming back. I've never had such an experience at Perry's, for instance, or even Taste of Texas. I strongly recommend you do something to improve the acoustics of your dining are, before everyone just gives up & goes somewhere else, which would be a real shame.

    Still one of the best. Go dry aged on anything or do a wagyu filet flight. You won't be disappointed. Nod on the Brussels sprouts - best in the Houston Metroplex.

    Beautiful restaurant, great waiters who can explain the menu and the difference between wet and dry aged beef. Excellent steak done the way requested. Easy to share a steak and sides. Happy hour all day Monday in bar area. Nice quiet restaurant to relax and enjoy your dinner. Great way to spend my friends 81st birthday.
