High end quality foid and service. The duck was sublime. For special occasion or any time you want top level.
Outstanding Ford Frye restaurant that has a great and eclectic selection. Cocktails are inventive and very tasty. I hight recommend
Great spot - would definitely come here again. Loved the burger.
We went for my birthday and my husband and I were given a complimentary glass of champagne - it was an unexpected but very nice gesture. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and had wonderful suggestions, which were all on point. We told our waiter we wanted to take the appetizers/drinks slow before the main course so we could enjoy every bit and he accommodated. Everything from the atmosphere to the cocktails and food were amazing. I’ll definitely be going back!
We were able to enjoy the chef’s counter. The meal was more than we ever imagined. Completely worth every penny.
Did not meet our expectations, the food was very bland. The popovers were the best part of the entire meal.
My sons brought me for Mother's Day! Spectacular as always! King & Duke never disappoints. The comfortable yet refined atmosphere. Incredible, adventurous dishes. Always something new to try. Always the BEST!
Our family of 6 had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner for our first visit to King+Duke. I am sure that the staff must have been worn out from serving Mother's Day lunch, but it was not apparent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and efficient. He was so kind to bring us complimentary deviled eggs and 2 wonderful desserts. Most of us ordered something a different entree, and we were all very pleased with our choices. The trout was especially good. We shared asparagus, potatoes, and artichokes and would probably make those choices again. We appreciate being able to celebrate Mother's Day in such a positive atmosphere.
I think the restaurant was a bit overwhelmed. Service was slow but the meal was excellent as expected. They had already run out of quiche and forgot to bring cream with the coffee. We were seated amongst a table of small children and an infant, so consequently we had to talk over the screaming and crying. Certainly it is not a child friendly restaurant, but, never-the-less we were able to spend it with our family which not only took precedence but made us not care as much.
Next time, we will celebrate at home where we have some control.
Had a great time here. Was seated promptly at my reservation time outside, the service was great, waitress was knowledge and made great recommendations. Cocktails were delicious, the cheese croissant bread was phenomenal - the can't stop stuffing your face type- and my heirloom pork was excellent - tender and juicy with one of the best chimichurri sauces I've had. The waitress also suggested the hen of the field mushrooms which were very tasty and meaty (and I don't really enjoy muahrooms). Overall, quite enjoyable dining and service experience.
Went for a birthday and food and service were phenomenal. Made for a great evening.
FINALLY time for dinner at King+Duke. Sunday brunch has been a hit and a weekend table in the corner front window with a group of 6 friends could not have been better. World travelers all it is hard to impress but KD hit a home run. Great socializing, appetizers, drinks and wine....and that's before the awesome dinners we shared......Don't miss the Duck and the Pork. Anyone who has had a bad experience here should go back as the staff is really defining customer service and if you like wood grilled/smoked foods there is none better.
Everything we had was delicious. My only sour note was the lack of options for my sister who has celiacs, there were plenty of entrees but almost no dessert options and when she asked to modify one, they did but clearly hadn’t thought about it. She asked for the strawberry shortcake without the short cake expecting berries and cream. She got a tiny cup of jam and a tiny cup of cream - like the individual butter size tiny and they weren’t full. That said, the cocktails were perfection as was the chocolate tart, the pork, and the grilled octopus was even better.
The food was very good. The service wad excellent.
Mother’s Day Dinner!
We went for my best friends 40th birthday and were not disappointed! Everything was great and our server was awesome!
This restaurant was always a must visit when in Atlanta but things have really changed. The once outstanding food is gone. The burger was like eating the coals and the chicken seasoning was way to fancy and over the top for my taste. The same was true for the sides we ordered. We have eaten hear many times and the food was to die for but the new direction the chef has taken us misguided. Our once favorite dinning establishment is no more.
My sister was visiting from Chicago so I decided for us to come here. King & Duke did not disappoint. Mark was our server and he was fantastic. All of his recommendations were great!!We will definitely be back and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I’ll go here for any meal and any occasion, it’s always a hit.
This was probably my most disappointing experience at K+D. I ordered Thai beef salad - the plate probably consists of 20 something mint leafs and a few pieces of snow pea (not sure of snow pea is more chinese or Thai) and a few salted beef. The Thai dressing wasn’t prominent, the dish was small and salty and definitely not worth $18, and surely isn’t the quality K+D should deliver. I’m not sure if I would go back there again!
Food is well prepared but just too rich for brunch. Entrees were smothered in gravy, fried, or cheesy. I wanted lighter, fresher foods.
The food was great and the service was even better. The waitress told us all about the restaurant which really set the stage for the night. She was knowledgeable about the menu and able to recommend dishes even going so far as to provide us with a complimentary appetizer. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Atlanta. It will not disappoint.
little disappointed in K&D this time, probably one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Atlanta and have been eating there regularly since opening, my usual martini that I always said was one of the best in Atlanta came out barely cold(also seems like they have discontinued one of my favorite Gins-Bluecoat) and the signature shrimp appetizer seemed off, the shrimp was slightly undercooked and it seems like the sauce recipe has changed (no jalepenos), also my main course chicken dish was tasty but also came out barely hot, we'll be back, probably just an off night
Apps were not great.
Deviled eggs were loaded with an overpowering yellow mustard blend. Amateurish.
The GA frilled shrimp apps sounded promising but they were covered in a heavy topping so you could never have imagined that the shells were still on them - and so we both put our put shrimp in our mouths and ended up crunching on their shells. It was awful.
The swordfish was delicious as an entrée.
Not very large, but just enough.
Great ambience, service and food!
I've eaten at King and Duke a number of times, mostly for business lunches, but also to dine with friends and celebrate a special occasion. The food has consistently been good. The menu has variety and the space is very cool. I ate lunch on the patio for the first time and it was perfect. Seating is covered and out of the shade, but open and airy. I'll be going back to hit up the patio for weekend drinks soon. The open kitchen with wood fired grill is awesome too.
It was great! Food was excellent.
We celebrated 2 birthdays there and found it to be a fabulous experience. Impeccable service, delicious food, very nice presentation and delightful ambiance. We will definitely go back and have already recommended to friends and family! Thank you!
This was my first time at King & Duke for brunch. We absolutely loved the cinnamon rolls and eggs Benedict. However, those who ordered the omelet didn't care much for it. The service was good and the ambiance outstanding. I plan to go again.
Service was extremely slow and food was overpriced for the taste. Location and ambience was great though. Won't return for food, but maybe drinks only.
All food was very good except the mahi mahi entree was tough.
Went for our anniversary and had an exquisite evening. Server and staff went above and beyond to make our night special with special samples of food and champagne and dessert at the end of our meal. The food is seasoned very well and cooked over a wood burning hearth. Will definitely be back and would recommend anyone to dine here.
Love the food and spectacular service. The rolls are to die for!
Great, attentive and prompt service. Delicious food. Some of the best lamb I’ve had in long time.
My husband and I have been to King + Duke a few times now, and it's become one of our favorite places to go for date night. The vibe on a Sunday night is pretty mellow and cozy, and we were grateful for that! Favorite menu staples of ours: the octopus appetizer, the wagyu beef tartare appetizer, the chicken dish, the burger, the pork dish. Wine and beer selection is well-edited and reasonably priced. Only thing--usually, the dessert menu at King + Duke is amazing. The other night, though, the chocolate tart that we got to split was very dry and absolutely *needed* that scoop of chocolate ice cream on top in order to be eaten. It was tasty...just so dry. Must not have been a particularly good batch; normally, dessert is something we are really happy to save room for!
King+Duke continues to excel on what it does well. Casual hip setting with awesome food and friendly service. This was my 2nd Sunday Brunch visit in a month and they did all well. But most rememberable was the excellent wait staff, reception and friendly faces working. Even my 88 y/o Mom was overjoyed by the sweetness of the people and of course the cinnamon roll. The limited menu selection gives you a variety of meal choices that is not IHOP....thank you. Continue the good work and see you soon.
The food was phenomenal! The squid ink risotto should be a menu staple!!!! He service was wonderful and Ryan, the Manager takes great care to make sure your dining experience is memorable and you want to return! Love this restaurant!
