We’ve been in restaurants a long time – three generations, to be precise – and we love seafood. With seafood there’s so much to be passionate about – the freshness, the flavor, the variety, and the surprise.

To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often, we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.

    We choose King’s for the variety and quality of fish and seafood, but we wish you would work on your sides. The clam chowder is alway excellent, as is the service and environment, but the mac and cheese is basically Kraft blue box white cheddar with some breadcrumbs on it…it’s dry. Actually, Kraft blue box is more appealing, unfortunately. The mashed potatoes always have a glue texture. Repeatedly. Please take a look, and taste, and consider different methods for these dishes. Thank you!

    Almost didn’t try Kings Fish House based on some of the reviews. Not sure what changed but our experience was very positive. Server was prompt, entertaining, and informative. Food was very tasty. Only oddity was parking in relation to the front door, but we figured it out. We will definitely be back.

    We really enjoyed our dinner Saturday night. My husband had the fried shrimp and said it was very good. I had the grilled scallops shrimp combo and it was excellent.

    I want to love this place but unfortunately, every time I go I find myself leaving disappointed. Food is average and with so many options in the area they have to do better pr they will not last.

    Great dining experience overall. Friendly, welcoming staff and our server Devon always had a smile on his face as he graciously served. Great conversationalist as well. By the way, the unique fresh fish preparations were AWESOME!!!

    The grilled scallops were great , but I was very disappointed in the teeny tiny 3.65 oysters. over 22.00 for less than an once of oyster all together.

    this used to be our favorite fish restaurant but last night's experience was less than stellar. clam chowder good but not great - had to use a magnifying glass to find the clams but the broth was flavorful. ordered a shrimp louis salad and hubby had a fried platter. Hugh salad but it was missing 2 ingredients, the red onions were cut very thick and the shrimp was there somewhere? the fried platter was alright - great shrimp, but the batter on the fish was soggy and some of the scallops were not cooked. manager did replace missing ingredients and take the salad off the bill. did the same thing a couple months back when the soggy fish problem was even worse. waiter was pleasant and they make great iced tea.

     Kings fish house in Tempe is definitely an option for a better than average dinner. They have a very nice selection. We’ve never had a bad meal and the drinks are also very good!

    This is one of the worst seafood restaurants I have visited. The food was just short of inedible and definitely not worth what is being charged. Desert and cocktails were the only highlights of the meal which included group and individual appetizers. Overall, although the servers were attentive, it was a complete disappointment.

    Made a reservation for outside seating. Waited 35 minutes + after promised time and had to choose an indoor seat as this was all that was available. Food reviews varied from good to bland to dried out. Bartender ended up as our server. He was great! Wouldn’t recommend. The people and the place seemed tired. Really disappointed with our experience when compared to the great ratings and our expectations

    We had trout and halibut. Both were very tasty! Bread was good, and the key lime pie was outstanding. We ate on the patio midweek, and it was ideal, weather and noise-wise. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. I’ll go back!

    What an amazing restaurant. I went with low expectations due to the location being a college town and a mall but I am pleased to say I was so wrong. We sat by the bar area which was pleasant. Much to our surprise the bartender, Tyler, was also our server and wow he was amazing. We were a party of three one of our party members was delayed and Tyler was so patient. We can’t thank him enough. The menus is big with so many options and choices. All types of fish and choices of how you want it prepared. The oysters were amazing and our friend had the grilled octopus and it also was amazing. Thank you for not rushing us out even though the restaurant was closing. What an awesome time and we will be back.

    The mahi- mahi was raw. The coleslaw tasted like fish and smelled like fish, the french fries were cold, batter on the fish was not cooked all the way through crispy outside, raw runny batter on the inside. This is our 2nd and last time going here for date night.

    This is a drive for us, so we don't go very often, but when we do we walk out saying 'we need to come here more'. Just going for the bread alone would be worth it, but the seafood is always great. I had the lemon nut crusted sea bass which was excellent, my husband had the swordfish which was a nice thick cut and moist all the way thru, not dry like it can be at some places. Enjoy all the sides too, although you better like garlic if you get the spinach. We do.

    Our friend’s 72nd birthday: food was delicious. She loved her halibut tacos and key lime pie. I had the oysters (18 yumm) and the clam chowder. Absolutely delicious. Jalen was a great server, suggesting meals. Thank you. We will be back.

    Fanny Bay Oysters were delicious. Grilled Artichokes not as tasty as they used to be in past years. Over cooked to point of being burned. Macadamia Nut Encrusted Halibut was delicious. Trout Almandine was delicious. Grilled Tuna was good. Spinach was fantastic. Bright green and prepared perfectly. Carrots were very hard. Took them home and cooked them longer. Dark and Stormy was not drinkable. Unrecognizable.
