This was my first visit, and I enjoyed it so much! The service was great. They were short staffed that evening but they kept checking in with our table to keep us updated. I had the ox tail stew and it was superb!!! I cannot wait to go back.
Unfortunately, my car was broken into while I was there, so when I return I will make other arrangements to get there. But overall, I had a wonderful experience with the Kingston 11 crew.

Great and very authentic Jamaica cuisine. Oxtails were the best. I’ve been to Jamaica 20+ times and rarely in the states does it come this close !

The photos look lovely however the actual decor of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. I fell for the photo of the "right angle". If you don't care about ambience, the food was lovely. But unfortunately, our special occasion felt less than special.

Our waitress was a real gem: not being familiar with the Caribbean cuisine, we asked her for advice and not only was she very knowledgeable, the dishes she recommended were absolutely delicious (jerk chicken and crispy salmon). We also took the rum punch and the dessert made with chocolate, rum and wine, and everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty. We sat in the little patio at the back of the restaurant, and it was pleasant to discuss with friends there.

We were seated on the new covered back patio -- and it had a feel of Jamaica, with its walls of corrugated steel painted azure, tropical plants and gallery-level photos of what looked like shots of the country taken in the chef's youth. (The men's washroom has a particularly great shot of some kids playing football.soccer.) We had a lively, helpful server (from Jamaica), and ate blistered green beans, curried shrimp and a spicy tofu dish. All were good, light, carefully prepped -- at a decent price. My dining companion had a decent pinot (from a short, but strong list) and I had a Kingston Colada, a version of the rum-pineapple-coconut drink. The patio had great conversations going on -- during COVID, I realized how much I'd missed eavesdropping!

We had a 90th birthday celebration. The ambiance of Kingston 11 was the perfect fit for the multi-generational friends snd family members who attended.
The staff was amazing and supportive from the onset in helping to secure the right space and ensure that we had the best possible plans in place.
The evening was incredible snd will be fondly remembered by all. Oh and by the way, the food was absolutely the best ever.

It was amazing, the service was great and the environment was great. I love loved the music that was playing and the jerk chicken was wonder along with the oxtail soup. It’s was worth the drive and I can say if I’m the area I would gladly visit again.

Went there for brunch and the food was good. Service was good too. I love their dinner menu not many offerings on the brunch menu plus they were out of some of the menu items.

It was my son’s bday. They did not honor my reservation time and we waited for 40 minutes. Then we were ignored after seating for an additional 15 minutes. They were out of most of their menu. The menu differs from the restaurant. My son a vegetarian ordered string beans and after everyone else was already eating, was told they were out. The online menu had several options for vegetarians. My son did not have anything to eat for his bday dinner. A disaster. They need Gordon Ramsay to come and fix them up. I will never go back. All that for mediocre food at best.

We have been coming to Kingston since their pop-up in Berkeley, CA and this is the first time we were truly disappointed with the service. In the past we have overlooked some of the issues given this was a new restaurant adjusting to their new space. Below highlights the issues
- Waited 30 mins before we were served and offered water
- Ordered Appetizer and received appetizers with entree at the same time
- Waited 30 mins for appetizers- asked if they could keep our entrees under the warmers. They said no.
- Jerk chicken was overcooked

We must be getting old because both my dining companion & I thought the music was too loud. We had difficulty speaking to eachother over of it. The food has tasted better on other occasions. It was just o.k. this time. Not very many desserts options either.

Restaurant was closed for a public event until 6 pm, but they didn't actually open the doors for another 20-30 min. There was a long line waiting by that time. Once we got in, service seemed quick and organized in spite of the sudden crowd. The atmosphere was great, nice background music and fun to see the diverse crowd there. I went specifically for the goat curry, hoping to extend my winning streak after enjoying a great lamb curry at an Indian restaurant a couple nights before. I don't remember the goat curry having any warnings on the menu about being super hot, and I'm usually OK with hot foods. It started out good, but as I continued eating, the burning sensation gradually extended and intensified throughout my mouth and lips and became kind of painful! It felt like the heat of black pepper, and that dominated my eating experience to the point where I could hardly distinguish any other spices that might have been in there. I don't know if this is always the case, but if so I would recommend offering the goat curry in two levels of hotness so more people would be able to enjoy!

I love this place, but on this day we waited well over an hour for our food to get to the table, and when it did arrive the French toast was burnt, the Jamaican breakfast was oversalted, our 4 year old never received his order of fries and my Jamaican breakfast and sorrel ran out so I had to order a replacement breakfast and drink over an hour into our dining experience because our server didn't have the wherewithal to let us know there were problems with our order or in the kitchen earlier than when it was brought to the table and hour into our experience. The communication and consideration from our server throughout the experience was subpar. I appreciate that my meal (single dish) was on the house, but was aggravated to find the fries that never arrived on our bill. Though they removed it eventually, even the wait to clear that up was exorbitantly long. I don't know that I will return to Kingston 11 after this abysmal experience where showing/accepting accountability was optional.

Yes, I would recommend because food is great but service can be slow and disorganized. We went in a party of 8 and it took 20 minutes before I finally asked a waiter if he could send over our designated waiter - no one had said a thing to us. Then, our waiter came and was polite but did not write down our order and unsurprisingly, it was wrong - 1 entree was missing so 1 person had to sit and wait for his food while the rest of us had our entrees. Plus, all of our appetizers were missing - they just never came. We asked at the end for the bill to be reduced to compensate for the mismanagement and they kindly obliged. But maybe they should have offered a reduced bill before we had to ask.

Yes, I would recommend Kingston 11 to a friend. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the ambience was lovely. Our only issue was that the noise grew to be quite loud for our little group of older 4, two of whom wear hearing aids, and one of whom should.
