Knight's Steakhouse - Downtown Ann Arbor Ratings and Reviews
Knight's is one of my favorite restaurants with fantastic prime rib and they really pour a great cocktail in terms of both flavor and size. Their wait staff are also very friendly and provide excellence service.
Made my girlfriends birthday a great night for us. Also a cool place for Michigan Football
Great experience... Food was what we expected, price and atmospher was all as we expected. Had a reservation, was a few minutes late due to parking issues, but they held and honored our reservation. great service!
The food was just okay, nothing special. Over priced for what you get
Excellent apps and tasty lunch menu. Attentive service with a smile.
Great food! Get the pork chops, they are hands down the best
Great food and Fantastic service!
Always a fun place to be, full of lively happy people and great people watching!
Good food and service. Somewhat pricey though they give you plenty of food and quality is worth it. It is a bit loud if you're into a busy scene then it's no problem. Cocktails are the best (and strong)!
I would say our first visit to Knight's Steakhouse was a great experience. We were lucky enough to be seated at a table by the window. It was great to people watch, and enjoy each other's company. We ordered two appetizers, the hummus and a special cajun steak tips. Both were delicious. Our entrees ranged from okay to outstanding. My halibut fit the outstanding category. The burger and London Broil were closer to to the okay billing. Our server, Frankie, was attentive, and fun to talk with. We left very full, and already know we'll be returning next month. I recommend Knight's Steakhouse.
Food was great, waitress was a bit of a dud. Couldn’t ask about drinks with answers like, “I don’t like that drink”, and tried to get us out ASAP
Everyone enjoyed their meals but we were a but disappointed they didn’t do anything to acknowledge the birthdays we were celebrating.
We dine at Knights frequently and have not been disappointed with any aspect of our experience there. We will continue to dine here for multiple occasions - your food is cooked to our request and the service is top notch - keep up the good work!
Consistently good! We always have a great experience at the restaurant. Our server was wonderful. Just a really pleasant evening.
We were there on New Year's Eve and thought the atmosphere was perfect for a New Year's Eve celebration. The food was very good as always. One small disappointment was the oysters. They were very small and this was after we specifically asked for a more "meaty" oyster. I've eaten many oysters in my life and these really were not up to par. They tasted fine just very small. Other than that, everything else was lovely, including our waitress.
Food was great and would come here again on a less busy day to see if the service improves, my feeling is it would. We felt rushed thru our dinner to make room for another meal to be served. A fine dining experience shouldn’t take less than an hour from seating to leaving.
A favorite downtown eatery of ours. Like it better than it's older cross town sister location.
Consistently good food and service. The ambiance is not cozy and romantic but rather, comfortable and open. A bit noisy but not so much that you can't have an intimate conversation.
Had the NY Strip and my wife had the filet - both cooked to perfection.
Staff was attentive without being pushy. No waiting for your food here - they are right on with the timing of each part of your meal.
Excellent food, and Excellent Service. Had a great time. Thanks!!!
Arrived a bit earlier than our reservation. Took the opportunity to get some drinks at the bar. Very solid beer, wine and cocktail options. As expected, ours dinners were excellent.
Steaks were fantastic!! Have to visit again to get the Brussels sprouts appetizer.
Very nice experience. Great food and great service.
Food is always exceptional. Great place for steaks.
food was wonderful...Michael, our waiter was exceptional....two things we were disappointed in...
one was they ran out of the bottled beer we ordered and the chocolate cake for dessert that we wanted.....otherwise it was a nice evening with good friends.
The food and service were excellent as well as the location. The drinks were strong as always. It's a bit pricy though.
The food was great as always. The service was excellent. Downtown Knights is a nice alternative to the West Side Knights as they feature modern cocktails and a different atmosphere.
It was ok. Service was very slow in spite of being early. Rarely saw our waitress. Didn't come back to even ask us if we wanted anything else - more hot tea, dessert - before handing us the bill. Burger was delicious. Nothing to write home about.
I was very disappointed on my dinner salad that was almost entirely lettuce with few of the advertised additions - and those that were included were few and far between..
Nice atmosphere without being at all pretentious. Very good steaks. Service was excellent.
Pleasant evening. Good food, nice portions, deep drink menu. A little loud. Great location.
Knight's is right across the street from the Michigan Theatre which make it a great place to go before a show. The "Knight's Pour" is always great. They make a great coctail there.
Went to dinner before a show at The Michigan Theater. Food was excellent, service was good but because of the crowd, was a little slow. Having planned for this didn't feel rushed. Could be a problem if time is limited.
Service was over the top fantastic and the sliders.....O.....M.....G......
Just went in to have appetizers and wine prior to a show. Appetizers were great, highly recommend the fried Brussel sprouts. Crab cakes were good and the cheese and meat board was great for four to share. Only issue I had was the table was in a high traffic area near the front entrance and the waitress should have checked on us a little more.
Excellent value on the Ferrari Carano siena wine which was on their specials list.
We love Knights Downtown, it’s an absolute GEM and we highly recommend it. Staff is great, bar is the best, and we love the food. It’s such a great addition to the downtown!!!
Before UMS concert on Friday night.
Glad that I made a prior reservation.
With the UCLA basketball team showing up about the same time.
Good food! Great Service!
Usually prefer the original location but had downtown A2 plans and this location worked out well. The drinks are as good as ever and my petite filet was done to perfection. It was quite busy and had to wait a bit for our server however after initial drinks were delivered the service was good.
For the price, the food was nothing special and my salad was disappointing. Had to send back an order of fries because they were limp and cold. The time between ordering and receiving our food was 40 minutes. The waiter was nice, but one of my biggest pet peeves is that he reached over me several times to refill drinks instead of asking for the glass. Armpit in my face is not appetizing. The restaurant had few occupants at the time of our luncheon, however we were all placed at tables, literally on-top of each other. Lastly, the menu says Gluten Free options +, however, there are no + symbols on the menu. When I asked the waiter if they offered GF buns, pasta or even corn tortillas for the fish tacos, none of these are available. Why is this even on the menu? Bathroom was clean, close to structure parking.
Buttermilk fried chicken sandwich is a winner. My friend enjoyed her sirloin steak.
The tables are too closely packed and, as a result, the restaurant was noisy.
I am a frequent diner at Knights - came here with my family on 11/27/17 to celebrate my birthday at my favorite restaurant. The service was terrible! It has always been stellar before. The server (#175 also noted as "walkup") was worse than bad. Forgot parts of the meal. And one of the meals (identical salad as another order at our table) was delivered, by itself 15 minutes before the rest of the meals. Was not the birthday meal I was hoping for. We will return - as it is my favorite restaurant - but will not want to be put at server 175 - Walkup's table!
