Kobe Japanese Steak House
The word "KOBE" suggests to the gourmet the ultimate in the finest beef, raised on delicacies, and gently massaged to perfection.
Watch....as we lovingly prepare the tenderest steak, the freshest seafood, free-range chicken, and garden fresh vegatables....all before your very eyes in true Japanese style.
Gordon our chef was the best part of our experience. He made it worthwhile, as the show he put out and his personal touch and interactions were supremely good. Food was great, prices including the show were fine. Your hostess look great and yet lack experience, professionslism and more importantly people skills. Find an old ugly man who knows how to talk to people and your success will be higher than black-dressed barbie talking dolls with no brain.
Favourite Restaurant in Vancouver. Excellent food & ambience. Very expensive but worth it every few years to celebrate a special occasion.
At least twice a year our family travels to Vancouver from Nanaimo to celebrate our birthdays at Kobe’s. We have never been disappointed. Kobe’s is our family’s favorite restaurant in the world. ❤️
Very entertaining and the best filet mignon we have ever had ! Melt in your mouth. The scallops, lobster, shrimp and everything else was fantastic! We will be back over and over again !
We were celebrating my brother birthday made reservations from a week ago at 8:30 we waited till 9:30 for our table to be ready! Food was great we just waited downstairs for an hour
Since this a restaurant that showcases the teppenyaki style of cooking, it is worthwhile to experience it once in your lifetime. Eating in commune with others is factor to consider. But it can be fun for all if you are open to the experience
The teppanyaki chef experience was entertaining, but the food was not particularly flavorful.
We were siting for more than 10 mins without any menu, people who came after us were already take orders. We kindly ask for menu they only gave one for two people to share. Also we ordered beer and we even have to remind the waitress to bring it after we already having main dishes. Food was good but the service was very disappointed.
Fantastic food and service...as always. Wonderful performance. Always make it to Kobe's when in Vancouver
Most of the food (steak, scallop, chicken) was overcooked, tasteless, fried rice too dry and tasteless
Food & service were good. However, felt the mandatory 18% gratuity (party of 2) was unnecessary.
I went a long time ago and remember it being much more of a show with dinner. This time was pretty lackluster. Food was good though.
The food was adequate, nothing special.
Noisy atmosphere, as well as a bit Smokey from the food being cooked.
Not the greatest value for money.
The chefs put on a great show for the guests.
Was great! Very tightly packed in. But fun!
Atmosphere was great on this night. I had the Ultimate and it delivered. It was a packed house and we enjoyed every minute.
Kobe was excellent as always. Food was delicious! I think they were under staffed today as we had to ask often for anything to the table. However the service we did have was fantastic. We will be back like always!
Wonderful service. The food was excellent. Great way to celebrate a birthday.
Went for dine out Van, staff was lovely , even though the restaurant was packed we were still served on time. Our server and cook (Raffy) was amazing not only was our food delicious but he entertained us, so funny!! Will be asking for him when I come back for another ocassion!
I was impressed with the service and food! They provide such a great vibe with friendly staff and cook. The flow was pretty smooth in this restaurant, we did not feel any pressure (or even rushed) while we were eating eventhough it's always packed. It was a great experience that I would be sharing not only online but also to my family and friends.
Delicious food with great energy from the staff. Definitely will return
I think the price our just to expensive NOW!! for what you get..
Loved it!! So much fun!! Our chef was amazing and the drinks were delicious
The food was amazing and the staff attentinve. Out chef was hilarious and i enjoyed the show.
I have visited Kobe’s many times over the years and have never been disappointed. It consistently provides great food and service. This time in particular I had the 12oz Wagyu steak and it was amazing. It was the best thing I have ever eaten in my life.
The chef way over salted our waygu. Completely ruined it.
Restaurant looks really fancy and high-end from outside, but it was probably my worst teppenyaki experience ever in Vancouver. The chef was amazing and friendly, but the food was just average and you can get it elsewhere with a lower price. The worst thing is they squeezed 6 people on one side of the table, it felt like being in a rush-hour train and my legs were numb most of the time, totally killed the pleasure.
First time, good food, fun place to be, will go again
Wonderful!! Been a fav since 1997 we will always be back!!
Everything tasted like top quality and value for the dollar. and prepared precisely 👌
We were very excited to celebrate my husband's birthday at Kobe. Chef Raffi was very entertaining and the appetizer portion of our meal was lovely. My husband's steak melted in his mouth and others at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meals. UNFORTUNATELY my steak was HORRIBLE. The cut of meat that I was given had a large vein of cartilage running through it and I could barely chew it. As well, I had to request a knife because the pieces given to me were much to large for one bite. When I ordered a steak and lobster meal for $65.95 I expected to enjoy my meal. I was very disappointed that no adjustments were made to our bill when this issue was brought to your staff's attention - TWICE!
Dinner was so tasty & fun to watch. Our chef was very interactive, making our evening even more entertaining
The food is above average they have high quality cuts of meat and local seasonal vegtibals.
Prepared infront of you by a master Japanese chef.
They not only cook up great food they cook up a couple good jokes as they prepair your meal they interact with the guests amd make it an overall 5 star experience with a great ambiance and an authentic menu.
Its the perfect place for special occasions large groups or a date night.
Its worth the trip and i will be recomending to friends and family and looking forward to my next visit
We went to Kobe hoping to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We indicated birthday celebration but they forgot about it.. very disappointed so we left. Wished they were more observant.
Great Food and service. It´s very noisy and the tables are somehow crowded. The couple besides us were shouting not speaking. Difficult to have control over that and it was very annoying. The best approach is to visit this restaurant with a large group and get a dedicated table just for the group
While we had a fun evening, I consider the food overpriced and not particularly tasty or uniquely seasoned. You pay a lot for the 'show' which is fairly short-lived.
Always a good deal...very tasty meal and a great show by the chef!!!
Kobe lived up to its name, it was simply fabulous
Didn't like the other customers seated with us as they found every little thing to argue about with the servers. Everything else was fantastic and the food was phenomenal!
Thanks for asking....two topping sauces weren't really that good...I asked for extra order if shrimp and didn't get many ?? My son has the kobe steak ..4oz..was good ..lobster was good ... cook needs to interact with the table more ...maybe fo a shot of tequila ..
A date night for us. The service was a little slow and we had to ask for a server a few times.
