The service when we are seated were great. Our chef Max was awesome. But the hostess hmm👎🏻. Especially when we are getting our coats she’s on the phone it looks like a personal phone coz she was laughing she made us wait and didn’t even said will you wait a moment I’ll be with you.
Talented chef made the experience very fun and exciting. Food portions were small but tasty.
Food and service were fine but we will not be back. This restaurant was packed with guests shoulder to shoulder, zero distancing or covid protection measures in affect. They had blatant disregard that we are still in the midst of a pandemic.
There were over 4 birthday celebrations except they missed ours.
The restaurant is a lot of fun, chief was excellent, food was good, but appreciate you are paying for the show as much as the food. Cost is too high for the as the place is not organized, space is limited, bathrooms are filthy
Very good food and entertaining chef. We were mostly happy with food quality and service however there were several exceptions:
- In a classy restaurant one should expect more information and recommendations on food served from the expert chef.
- The restaurant is production-line oriented designed for a quick turnaround. Don't expect having time for a glass of wine and leisurely chat during dessert.
- The restaurant is pricey and additionally is double dipping customers i.e. the tip is already included in your bill and ON TOP OF IT you are requested to add extra gratuity given choices of 15%, 18% or 20% . It is dishonest to take advantage of a dark environment when the bill details are not visible.
The food was terrible prawns were overcooked chicken was rubbery steak was good. I was chef was not very organized waited way too long between food

Too many people at a table, there was absolutely no room to eat our meal and we were at a corner seat. The service was terrible. The couple sitting to my left, did not even get asked to place a drink order for the first hour they were seated. My husband and I shared the the Godzilla miyazaki wagyu ultimate. It seemed like there was less food than we had eaten on a previous visit to KOBE.
Good Dinner! Slightly overpriced. Wish there was more interaction amongst table group and chef as well.

It was my 2nd time to Kobe's and I must say how deeply disappointed I am by the experience I've had tonight. I've never written a review before but I feel after tonight people should know that how I felt about this overrated expensive experience at this restaurant. It was my brother's graduation party and I took my parents to Kobe's who just moved to Canada to show them a diverse culture and experience of some rich Japanese cuisine. Here are some of the things that I feel all readers should know before they go to kobe's and pay a ridiculous amount of money that they can save and buy more than a month's grocery.
1. The chef at our table started off by telling us that his previous table guest were bad! I am sorry but did you just say the people who paid you so much were bad?
2. The chef literally put the fire up twice. AND THAT WAS IT!!!! No conversation, no engagement, no excitement, no stunts. If you were having such a bad time then you should rethink of being customer facing.
3. He forgot to make the fried rice almost till the end not to mention there weren't any stunts like other tables did with eggs and knives . Also where was the tea that you charged us for? They forgot to serve the first basic thing every Japanese restaurant offers!!!!!
I am sorry to do this but if I had to just get some food I could have gone to any cheap basic Japanese restaurant and I would have got better service, food and not to forget the tea before even I order. On top of all this I gave the feedback to the server and the manager there was no remorse and on top of that they were extremely rude and unapologetic because they didn't think I knew what tapanyaki is. All I got was "Thank you for the feedback we will look into it". You shouldn't be in the service industry if you are not passionate about customer experience. I wish I had anything good to say or rate.

As usual it was an excellent night at KOBE. We come here for our anniversary every year and are always more than satisfied. Great food, our chef was great and the total atmosphere was enjoyable as always. We always recommend coming here.

All 3 of our steaks were overcooked. Pretty disappointing considering it was our main. Every bite was overcooked, chewy and dry. Not a great birthday dinner.
Post covid seating. So no dividers. Full house so gets really noisy.

Had another excellent time at Kobe. Loved the filet and shrimp and chicken, we had the emperors feast. We also had the Sakura cocktail, very tasty. Thanks Kobe!
Amazing food amazing atmosphere! Tight seating is frustrating
Food was overpriced and mediocre. Had a 6pm reservation on a Monday night and was asked 3 times, by 3 different servers for our food order before our 1st drinks were even served. Felt rushed, like we were trying to be hustled thru. Chef was entertaining and chatty.
Covid protocols were well followed but the restaurant feels filthy. Wouldn’t go again.
Great food but the chefs need to do more fun interaction with the customers like before.

Hella vibes. Our cook was very energetic and upbeat. Cool guy 10/10. Food was mind blowing. Wagyu was an explosion flavour. Homie did not skimp on the lobsters either.
