   The seabass with bok choy was delicious --- the garlic made it fantastic. It also is a perfect fit for the Keto diet --- and might I add --- very healthy!

   Normally, we enjoy Kona Grill. However, on this visit, we experienced a pattern that has developed over the past 6-12 months. We had a 5:15 reservation and were sat down immediately. We had our drinks in about 5 mins. After that, it was a full 20 mins before our order was taken. We didn't get our food until nearly an hour had passed since we sat. We've NEVER had to wait so long for our order. The chicken appetizer satay was lukewarm, as were the potstickers. Everything came out at once, but it made me wonder how long the sushi sat out before being brought to our table. We survived, didn't get sick, but the experience was less than satisfying. Our server was very polite and attentive, when he was around. Not sure what the issue was but it seemed that everything was SLOW getting out. Might be a while before we go back. Sadly.

   Assuming brunch at Kona Grill for Mother's Day would be totally insane, we decided to go in the afternoon. We had a 2pm reservation, planning on just getting desserts (what Mom really wanted was that brownie sundae!). We arrived at 1:50 pm and were seated at around ten after two. We had requested patio seating on the reservation, but were seated in the dining room. The table we were seated at was cleaned, but the floor around it wasn't -- there was food, straws, etc. We ordered desserts with our drinks (all waters and 2 apple juice), and it took almost an hour for the desserts to arrive. When they came, the ones that should have been warm (2 butter cakes, 2 brownie sundaes) were cold, and the cold desserts were room temperature. Fearing it would take another hour to get our desserts if we sent any of them back, we decided just to eat them as-is. After we finished, the fathers of the group asked to talk to a manager about our experience. Our waiter relayed the message to the manager, but the manager never appeared -- they simply updated our digital on-screen bill with 2 comped desserts. Were there no managers on duty? Do the managers just sit in the back? How odd to have no manager floor presence on a holiday! I am not sure what the issue was. Did they over-book the day -- they didn't seem understaffed, as there seemed to be waiters a-plenty and lots of cooks in back, but the front-of-house staff (just waiters and hosts, no managers!) did seem panicked and frantic. In any case, I would skip Kona if it's for something important -- for a celebration or a big occaision, you might leave disappointed and embarrassed in front of your guests.

   Reservation was for 1:00 took 15 mins to get seated, no one was at the table and we had to go to hostess to ask about it. Our order was taken right away so that was a plus but there it stops. We waited for 50 minutes for our meal with no check in or apology for the wait nor something for the trouble. The tan out of eggs , The food was tepid. I understand it was Mother’s Day but they should have been prepared with correct number of staff and enough food. It was not a pleasant experience.

   Whoever was in charge of Mother’s Day reservation waaaaay overbooked. The waitress worked so hard and did her best but we were seated 20 min after our reservation time and the food took almost 45 minutes and they were out of many menu items.

    Let me start off by saying, our server was phenomenal. But that's where it ends. My family & I went to Kona Grill for Mothers Day brunch. The food was absolutely disgusting. Cold, flavorless, and 3 of us had missing items on our order. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The only good thing about my experience is our sever was awesome. Other than that, I would've rather gone to Perkins because it would've at least been better and not cost an arm and a leg for food that is inferior to hospital food. Seriously. Happy Mother's Day lol! What a joke.

    Booked for Mother’s Day. Service was extremely slow, didn’t get table in area we requested. My sushi sat on a counter for 20 min waiting for rest of food to be ready. Waitress didn’t proactively check in with us, waited to get food for over 45 minutes (not exaggerating). Even getting water took 15 minutes. Mimosas were mostly OJ and warm. Felt sick the rest of the day because of sushi.

    Worst overall restaurant experience in many years and was truly surprised it happened at Kona. The manager did get involved and made the situation better but the damage was done by that point and really hard to salvage on Mother’s Day not feeling so special anymore.

    Our waitress was great, but the kitchen was slow. We were there for 2 hours, including about 45 minute wait for dessert. However, the table behind us got their appetizer before placing their order. Kitchen staff were disorganized and seemed to not how to prioritize orders. Very different experience than we normally have.

    Our group of 13 went to Kona Grill-Eden Prairie for Mother's Day brunch. They were able to accommodate us in their Lumi Lumi dining room. Our server, Nick, was attentive and did an amazing job of keeping track of our orders/separating the check properly. The food came out quickly, hot and delicious! We enjoyed mimosas, bloody mary's, the All American bkfst, crab eggs benedict, steak and eggs, French dip and French toast. We'll definitely be back!

    The ambience isn’t all that. I went there for dinner on my birthday, there was no candle at the restaurant for cake and the server kept asking me if she can bring the cake 🙄. What’s the point of the cake without candles to blow and celebrate? I left a little disappointed considering all the hype they advertised on their website, it was nothing like it. Food was tasty though I’ll give them that. The avocado 🥑 rolls are great 👍🏾.

    The Chilean Sea Bass was buttery and flaky, really delicious. The green beans had an interesting sauce with alittle spice. The macadamia chicken had a sauce that was smooth and very good. The mashed potatoes were alittle iffy. The lemongrass clam chowder had a lot of bacon in it and was the lemongrass flavor was subtle but very good. The chowder was a different recipe than any others we've had in the past.

    We got there for Happy Hour. Sliders & popcorn chick were excellent. Ordered side Asian salad for sup, also excellent. Fresh & crispy. My friend ordered fish tacos. Ditto. My 2 sisses ordered shrimp fried rice. Not so good. They said it tasted like canned shrimp. Rice a was ok tho. So, I’m happy. I’ll come again. Service was great. Waitress was very accommodating. We 4 hadn’t been together for a long time. She was kind enough to be attentive, but didn’t rush us. Nice night out! Thx. Sue

    Mediocre at best! Service was slow. Lettuce wraps difficult and not that tasty. Entrance and exit by staff was lackluster. Salad was very good.

    Cold and Loud inside. Waitress and Bartender had great difficulty with drink order. Check was wrong(overcharged for an extra drink that was never brought to our table. Sashimi was great, very tasty. Waitress was very busy(maybe had too many tables assigned to her???), but she was nice.

    6 STARS!! Amazing from start to finish. Host team was smiling and tracked my reservation and got us to a great booth. Our server, Marty, was one of the best servers we've ever had anywhere. Great personality and product knowledge. The appetizer, sushi, salad, wine and dessert (butter cake) were all delicious. Fresh and fast without rushing us. Especially nice to have GM Miranda stop by to say Hello. The visit was perfect in every way.

    Would not recommend the prime rib. It was mostly fat and gristle. The server did take it back and gave my friend a steak Others meals were good.
