   I’ve been dining at Kona for years, and it’s one of our favorites. This trip was awful! Sticky table, horrid service, my salad was missing toppings, and the staff was standing around gossiping while our table was ignored. We most likely won’t be back, we have been going to Kona for a very long time.

   We've been to other Kona Grill's in the past and had better food. This time the food was just average. I had the filet and it was just ok, my husband's seabass was dry and my daughter's roll was just okay.

   The tables were really sticky and the flatware and plates were dirty. We had to ask for new plates and flatware. It didn’t seem too busy but it was loud and the service was slow. The sushi was the best thing we ordered. Don’t try the avocado egg rolls-they were very bland and kinda greasy. (If I’m going to eat something greasy and high in calories, I’d rather have a donut) Honestly, my sister said she would be willing to go back because of the cost during happy hour. But I personally wouldn’t bother coming back.

   With reservations we still had a 30 min wait. Once we ordered our meal it was another hour wait. Our appetizers came with our meal which we specifically asked not to happen. In addition our meals needed to be altered due to being out of rice and vegetables. Of the 8 of us that dined with you we all agreed that none of us would come back or ever recommend. Very disappointed with how my family was treated.

   Haven’t been to Kona for a few years and feel like the quality has declined. Service was terrible and the food wasn’t great. My chicken and rice were both dry and didn’t have a lot of flavor. For the price, it wasn’t worth the lack of quality.

    We had a reservation for Mother's day at 1:30 for a party of 6. We get there and they tell us they are running 15-20 minutes behind which was expected for Mother's day...45 minutes later we finally get sat. The waiter comes right over and tells us to expect a wait of 50-70 minutes from the time we order for food to come out. Food was sitting all over the sushi grill as well as coming out of the kitchen waiting to be given to the correct table. I don't think it was the kitchen but the lack of servers. We got up and left because we had already waited enough having a reservation originally. We love kona but this was not a good day for them.

    Went for mother's day, had to wait 1 hour even with a reservation. After being seated and ordered food, did not receive the food for an hour. When it was brought to our table, the food was cold. Plates weren't we've warm. Manager did not care. We just got up and left. Worst service ever

    Preface: it was Mother's Day. We went into it with the expectation that times would be long and the place wound busy, but our expectations weren't even close. Reservations were running a minimum of 30 minutes behind, and many people were voicing frustrations after being there much longer. We were seated 30 minutes past the reservation time, but no big deal, we were glad to have a table. Things deteriorated really fast at the table. The server brought fountain drinks pretty quick and got our order in, but then the waiting began. Bar drinks and appetizers took way too long, tables around us actually started to leave without getting their food - apparently they had been waiting well over an hour. Our server at this point disappeared. Drinks sat empty on our table for a very long time. It took an hour and half to get our food, and even then it was missing things and the cooked sushi was cold from sitting on the sushi bar for a while. After reminding the server a couple times, we gave up on the missing food. Here's the thing, Kona has good food, but it is WAY overpriced for what it is and I felt really frustrated paying an insane amount of money for the experience we had. 4 sushi rolls, 2 entrees, 2 kids meals, 2 appetizers, and 2 bar drinks, and we paid $250 before tip. I've never in my life spent that much on a dinner out, not even close, and it was food I could've gotten anywhere. So I will not be returning to Kona Grill. There are many other options in Omaha with just as good food, atmosphere, and service at a way better value.

    We went on Mother's Day and it was crowded. We had reservations for 11:45 and got seated around 11:40. It was in a back room, kind of an after thought because the tables were not prepped, no condiments, not set, etc. It was quiet which was nice compared to the main dining area. We ordered an appetizer and drinks. A short time later we ordered the main courses, nothing too special, stir fry and a few breakfast plates. The food took 90 minutes to get to our table! The food was below average, mixed temperature, not very flavorful and very small portions. I get it was crowded and a super busy day, but for $22-30 an entree the food could be hot, plentiful and tasty. Service was okay. Overall not impressed with the food quality, portions, service time, and overall dining experience.

    This was my and my family's first time here and the food was exceptional! We had a reservation, but even with that, service was quite slow. It was Mother's Day so I am sure that was the root cause. I honestly didn't mind because it meant more time chatting with our kids. Our waiter seemed to do "fly-bys" rather than actually stopping when asking how things were, but again, we understand it was exceptionally busy given the day.

    The wait for food on a reservation was 2 hours. The waitress kept making excuses and then brought us ice cold food. It was gross. I will not go back. Use to be one of mt favorite restaurants. Sad!

    Waited forever to get our food and then when it came, it was awful. Scrambled eggs were hard and cold, toast was cold, fries were over cooked and cold. I mean, just brutally bad.

    Seating wasn't great, they put us next to the men's restroom. Took awhile for server to bring us silverware and napkins. Server never offered to refill our drinks. Food was ok but overpriced. Ambiance was good but like any other sports bar atmosphere.

    The food was good and the server was nice and very attentive. I have a limited diet restriction so I can’t eat much. I was just going to take a few bites of my daughters dinner. They charged me $8.00 for a split plate fee. I thought that was disappointing since they didn’t tell me ahead of time.

    We haven't been to Kona in several years. We got an appetizer during happy hour which was two pieces of chicken satay. It was pretty good. My husband had pad Thai with added tofu which ended up being $33 and I had an Asian salad that I added chicken to that was $26. I asked for dressing on the side and my salad came drenched in dressing. I tried to eat what was on the top but ended up leaving it. It wasn't that great so I honestly didn't reach out to our server to ask them to fix it. I was very disappointed as I remember Kona being pretty good during our last visit. We will have to think about returning again due to the food quality and cost.

    All of our food was delicious! We had the sea bass and salmon for entrees and the brownie sundae for dessert. Best brownie sundae in the city! Every time I have dined here the food has been excellent. I always look forward to returning to Kona Grill.

    Everything was amazing. We had someone at the table with a shellfish allergy (not severe) and our server was nice enough to make sure none of our plates with shellfish even touched hers. Service was great and the food was amazing! Will be our regular go to every time we are in town.

    Reservation requested a table in the patio area. We were seated in the interior even though there was a table for 2 in the area requested. We ordered an appetizer which arrived on time, but our main meal came about a minute later. We felt rushed. For the 2 of us the bill was $120 after tip, for shrimp tacos and a French dip sandwich. Overpriced meal, and many better places to eat in the area. Overall disappointed.

    We sat in the sunroom; it was a nice alternative to sitting inside the restaurant. We enjoyed our food. My nori salad was excellent. The veggie roll was good, but it was a bit dry. The others in my party enjoyed their food. It seemed as though our food took longer than it should have to arrive, but it may have been my perception. Our waitress was attentive, and the manager stopped by to check in on our table, which I appreciated. All staff I interacted with seemed to work diligently in their position.

    The food was ok. But the service was really bad. I asked the waiter about multiple items on the menu and he had no idea about any of them and had to go ask the kitchen. Then when it came time for dessert it took 45 minutes to bring out a Luke warm brownie with ice cream and it was clear he never even put in the order because it came out after us asking again about it. He did not check in on us we had to flag him down to ask too. The room was only about half full as we went around 5:15 so I can only imagine how it is when it’s busy. Expect to pay $75-100 per person and for that price I really expect decent service. If you are going to claim to sell wagyu I would expect you train your servers to know what the grade is. It is def overpriced and the answers I got about the food made it obvious it’s low quality. I would not recommend or go back.

    First time at Kona. Felt rushed, appetizers and main course came out at the same time. Wasn’t offered dessert or another cocktail. Didn’t seem overly busy (sat. After St. Patty) in and out in under 45min. Didn’t make for a good date night. Disappointed.
