   Celebrated our son’s birthday at L Woods, and it did not disappoint. Food was excellent. I love the Rainbow Trout.

   A dependable place. Comfort stuff with a kicked back to the mid 20th century lake lodge feel. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Service is average to good, food is average to good, the vibe is average to good - yet somehow when you put it all together L. Woods over and over again proves to be an outstanding experience.

   Wonderful dinner. Food was very good. The lower mark for the food was that some of the dinners came to the table not hot and had to be sent back for re-heating. When returned to the table, the sauce on the fish was missing. Otherwise, great service and reasonable prices.

   L Woods is one of our go-to places for consistently good food. Their tomato bisque soup is one of the best and their chopped salad is not to be missed. On Sundays, we go for the fried chicken dinner that is yummy. Last night, we had a terrific server, Megan. She really enhanced our dining experience with her cheerfulness and efficiency. She kept checking in to see if we needed anything else. We enjoy being Lettuce Entertain You Rewards members.

   Food was ok. Mashed potatoes were too salty to eat needed to be sent back and exchanged for French fries. Waiter tried his best as well as the food server but it seemed that they were under a lot of pressure, most likely because of short staffing. This is a constant problem at most businesses no matter what industry these days. I do not like the 3% up charge as the food prices are high enough. It was one thing during the pandemic but it is time to remove it. I paid it but do not like it.

    The food was amazing. Start off with the cheese curds. The daily specials are always worth considering. The brisket burger is so delicious. I always get the apple strudel for dessert but I hear the other desserts are good as well.

    I've been to L Woods many times. It presents as a lodge so nothing fancy about the decor. The service at our last visit was slow and unfortunately my medallions were served medium rather than medium rare as I ordered. I didn't complain because I didn't want to wait for another serving. My glass of wine, the salad and potato were very good.

    2 memers of the group had the Fri perch special. They enjoyed the fact that it was breaded lightly. I had the trout wich I enjoyed. Light sauce with capers. I would order it again.

    They have a great selection of food, and all that I've tried has been tasty. The waitstaff is attentive, without being over bearing. And my guest and I were able to have a long conversation, without having to yell at each other!

    Just such a nice place with fantastic comfort food! Chopped salad and almond crusted walleye were stand outs. The service was exceptional. We've been there many times and never a disappointment!

    We had a very nice dinner to celebrate my sister-in-law’s birthday. We had a perfect corner booth for our party of six. Great service considering how busy it was. Our meal was paced very well. The food was delicious. My sister-in-law and her family are frequent diners, this was our second time there. We typically go to Wildfire, but will include L. Woods in our choices in future.

    We went for lunch on a Sunday. The restate isn’t wasn’t too busy and food was very good. Our server was nice however our order was missing a few things and we got charged for a meal we did not order. Everything worked out in the end: the right good was delivered and the bill was corrected. I would definitely go back

    I made a reservation through Open Table for 3, for 7:45. When we arrived they put us in the noisy bar, by the service door. It was a tight table. The server was nice and explained the menu but he seemed overwhelmed. Our drinks from the bar were okay, actually very strong-Mai tais. My son’s lemonade was sour, no sweetness. The wedge salad was tasty and presented nicely. My burger didn’t arrived as ordered and it took 20 minutes before I got the onion, ketchup and mustard that I asked for when I ordered it. The burger was cold by then and disappointing. No refills on our waters were given. I hated where we were sitting and won’t ever sit in that area again.

    Fried Calamari was very good. Rainbow Trout was overcooked (did not enjoy). Au Gratin Potatoes were good, but did not expect $3 up-charge. Walleye Fish an Chips... Walley coating had no seasoning, the portion was five small pieces (did not enjoy). French fries were very soft, most quite dark, greasy, as if oil had not been changed for quite a while. Our reservation was for 4:45 PM. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our request for a booth was honored. Waiter made initial visit to table to say hello and take drink order. We both only wanted the water we were previously served by bus boy. Waiter took our appetizer order and our food order. Appetizer took a little while to arrive, but that was fine. However, the 2 main entrees took 44 minutes to arrive. During that time, our waiter passed our table many times. He would look down at our table, as if he was checking for food, but never stopped to acknowledge or apologize for the delay in our entrees. The restaurant had many open tables. Waitresses and waiters were not rushing around. Yet, we sat and politely waited. When our food finally arrived, the waiter announced each plate and set it down. Once again, not acknowledging or apologizing for the delay. Not once, during the whole time we ate, did he come to ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything despite the fact that he passed by our table several times. Waiter did not return until he saw our dirty dishes were picked up. He offered dessert and / or coffee. We asked to just have our check. He was prompt to return with the check and thank us for coming. We left very unhappy with our food and service. This had not been our experience our last visit, which was prior to the pandemic. We don't plan on returning.

    Food was good but everything was very heavily salted. Our server was ok but a 5 minute “I’ll be back to take your order” was 20 mins. However we were very hungry so I might be over sensitive about that. Highlights were key lime pie, apple crisp, and the walleye.

    Maya is a fabulous server and took really good care if us. She even took a photo of the 5 of us. We do that the two tomes a year that we get together. We went to elementary school together 80 years ago when we were 5!!

    Food was not as good as normally. Potatoes were very dry and cold, steak had to be sent back as undercooked and then not as good. Maybe since Mothers Day cooks were just overwhelmed. We love this restaurant and food is usually better as have been coming for years. We had a wonderful server named Payton. Look forward to better food next time around.

    We made a reservation and we got seated right away.. service was poor..we did not get a free bread ( other tables got free bread) and it took atleast an hour for our food to be out (3 guests) and also order came out wrong.. food was not even good..

    Disappointing. Food doesn’t match menu descriptions. Pretty major letdown, unfortunately. Service was very good but food-not so much. We had 6 people- 3 appetizers and 6 entrees- and none were great. I hate leaving bad reviews but this was our first and last time there.
