The burrata was divine. The pizza was perfect. The service impeccable. The ambiance was good, although a bit noisy, but that’s understandable as there were some Xmas parties. The Nebbiolo wine, recommended by the waitress, was paired perfectly with my truffle pasta dish. Bravo to all. Complimenti.

Although I expect simple food that is not drenched in sauces and cheese, along with more conservative portion sizes from a good Italian restaurant, I also expect the flavor that comes from fresh seasonal ingredients and thoughtful seasoning. Sadly, everything we ordered was bland and underwhelming. It was a great shame given the nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

We had a wonderful night for my daughter's 22nd Birthday. We've been visiting Terroni's since it's beginning on Queen West.

The service and food was perfect. My husband and I are vegans and we were pleasantly surprised there were vegan choices.

Thank you Terroni you never disappoint!

This was my first time visiting La Bettola di Terroni and my girlfriend and I had a great meal, great service(our server was very knowledgeable and recommended a very nice wine to compliment our pizzas) and the atmosphere was what I would expect going to an Italian restaurant with the communal table in the centre of the dining room just like being at home.
My only minor complaint would be the 2 young hostesses who were not very professional and not welcoming, which I believe is one of the requirements of a hostess. Now that I am aware of this I will plan my evening accordingly.

Unexpected disappointing experience! First, drinks! We have 3 rum drinkers... we ask for a rum and diet coke... sorry we don't serve diet coke only coke! OK what are your choices for rum... Sorry we only carry one rum... Bacardi white!! We all ordered something else! Second, we ordered regular dishes off the menu...two bolognese pasta, halibut and fried seafood. For the fried seafood (which only came with a lemon wedge), I asked if I could get any kind of sauce as a dip, like marinara... "No sorry that's not how we serve it, but I can bring you hot pimento oil" (which she did and was barely edible it was so hot!). The halibut was a ridiculously small portion for $40 and the Bolognese... well... essentially a pile of tagliatelle with hardly any sauce or taste... we asked for more sauce... . "No sorry that's not how we serve it, we can't bring you extra sauce, but I can bring you oil!" The gelato was on the house, to make up for the fact that WE were just not "used to the Sicilian Way" and were not sophisticated enough and made to feel at fault. Basically pathetic expensive food with no care to easily accommodate basic requests with Extra Attitude... "This is not how WE DO IT"!! Worst restaurant in Toronto! This is why WE think YOU are Pathetic!!

Upon arrival we were told that our table had been booked for a second sitting later on which was very unwelcoming and not what I would expect from a restaurant of this rating. The restaurant was a squash and our table was very close to other diners.
I ordered the spaghetti vongole - the clams were overcooked and tasteless and, whilst the pasta was good, there was so much garlic that the dish was ruined. A very poor meal.
Our server was just ok - she was dismissive of us (probably because we had our daughters with us) and more interested in helping other tables.
I would not recommend this restaurant at all - there are far more enjoyable places to eat in Toronto than this overpriced and over rated offering

Over-priced and pretentious. Nizzarda and barbabietole salads were good but our pastas and fritto di Paranza were tiny. Server was also inflexible on substitutions for a food allergy. The manager was able to accommodate but we shouldn't have had to escalate.

I would find it difficult to not have a great experience here. The service is the right amount of attentive, food is excellent and atmosphere is wonderful. It's a busy place at lunch so if a quiet conversation is what you're hunting, maybe head there just outside the peak hour. Will definitely be back.

Had a great lunch. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed the food immensely. Those who of you are disappointed in the service should get use to that in the food industry generally. It's getting very difficult to find wait staff let alone good wait staff. It's a sign of the times.

Food - tuna appetizer, trout main and rigatoni main were both excellent - the inhouse pasta is very fresh, perfectly cooked. |Trout tasted wonderful and was part of a beautiful plate presentation. Great cocktails as well. Service was simply awful. The server treated us from the very beginning like she wished she wasn't working that night - and it showed the entire evening. I will consider coming back but it certainly isn't a given. If the owners/management cannot see this then they're most likely willingly ignoring it as she wasn't even attempting to be remotely expedient, friendly, or professional. Which is too bad as the recommendations from friends led me there and I've thoroughly enjoyed my other dining experiences at both Terroni and Sud Forno.

This second visit was not as good as my first visit suggested. The waitress was slightly cranky and impatient from the beginning and we got off on the wrong foot. We were seated at a table that was stuck uncomfortably in a corner, and no matter which way we turned it, it seemed to be in someone's way. It was maybe a table intended for one, not two. The place was quite busy and a little chaotic so maybe the waitress was stressed. On my previous visit, the food seemed a cut above the other Terronis in town, but this visit seemed the opposite. The Bolognese in particular was not as tasty as it should be and rather dried out, not up to the Bolognese at Terroni on Adelaide East, around the corner. The final bill seemed high to me for some rather mediocre Italian food... not bad but not great.

We had a lovely dinner with friendly, attentive (not overwhelming) service, but what moved this night from good to great was the conversation we had with the staff/manager on the way out. They clearly have a passion for food and Italy and it was an absolute treat. Definitely be back sooner rather than later!

What else? Consiglio vivamente questo posto. Noi torneremo sicuramente!
