La Chaumière is as close as it gets to dining in a French country inn. Celebrating 48 years, La Chaumière features traditional dishes like escargots en coquille, boudin blanc, quenelles of pike, cassoulet and Grand Marnier souffle. Chef Javier's specials reflect a modern approach to seasonal produce, seafood and game with favorites like baked oysters, Dover sole and our speciality, housemate Boudin Blanc. La Chaumière has won the 100 Best Restaurants award 29 times since 1978! We will be serving Al fresco as soon as the weather permits, please reserve, outdoor space is limited. Parking is available at the Four Seasons Hotel for $30 with validation stamp.

The chocolate souffle was quite bland. Otherwise the food was very good, the waitstaff excellent and the feel, very warm and comfortable.

It was such a pleasure to eat here last night. The food and service have never been better and the experience was truly fun. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and incredibly efficient. I've eaten here since La Chaumiere first opened in the '70's, give it high marks and look forward to returning.

The food at La Chaumiere is exquisit. For appetizers two of us had the Torchon de Fois Gras and two had the appetizer souffle. We were all extremely happy with our choices. Same for the main course. Three had venison and one had scallops. For dessert, two had chocolate souffle and two had profiteroles. All in all we found the food delicious. However, it was a very busy saturday night and from the beginning we had the feeling we were continually being forgotten. It took a long time before we had the chance to order drinks. The appetizer souffle had to be ordered early but then we had to flag someone to be able to order the other appetizers. After the appetizers, no one took our meal orders until we again flagged them down. We eventually asked for a second bottle of water and of wine. That order was forgotten and we had to flag the waiter down to re-ask for the drinks. So a nice evening with great food but the service could have been more attentive.

Always excellent, a warm welcome from the staff and a very enjoyable atmosphere. One of our very favorite places. La Chaumière never disappoints. Don't miss the grand marnier souffle for dessert!
