La Cuchara updates its menu daily to offer the best quality produce and provisions available, and features a pintxo station, craft cocktails & a wood-fired grill.
First time at La Cuchara and loved it. We will definitely be coming back. Everything was delicious.
The food was delicious! We went during restaurant week and the menu was great. I really enjoyed the cheese and olive tapas and the pan con tomate was out of this world! The only negative thing was that our waitress lacked any personality, but otherwise food was brought out in a timely manner and the staff were all very helpful. I would definitely go back!
La Chuchara continues to impress with an outstanding menu, great atmosphere and friendly, helpful wait staff who are eager to please.
Decided to try La Cuchara during restaurant week and we were so glad we did. Many of the restaurants we try in Baltimore leave us underwhelmed but not La Cuchara. The service was brilliant and the food delicious. Although a bit noisy we loved the look and feel of the place. We cannot wait to go back.
LA Cuchara is hands down one of the best places to dine in Baltimore.
I dine out at lest 3 times a week, and it is my go to place. An amazing big bar with great happy hour specials, with friendly and knowledgeable servers. The cocktail, spirit and wine list is off the chart, and the food is always on point.
In fact it gets better and better every time I go there. great place for special occasions and celebrations, with plenty of parking too.
Food was excellent, as typically is. Shrimp with burnt garlic and preserved lemon was outstanding. Attentive service, but not pushy. Comfy atmosphere.
Fantastic experience, great service and wonderful food!
We had such a wonderful experience on Christmas Day that we returned just a few days later! This our new favorite restaurant in Naples! The service is excellent and the presentation of the food is instagram worthy.
Fabulous. Our favorite restaurant in Baltimore. Have been here more times than I can count and it is delicious every time. Highly recommend.
This was our first time. We had Carlyn for our server, and she was SPOT ON! Great service and a complete knowledge of the menu. I Oh, and what knowledge of wines she has. It’s a breath of fresh air to have someone who also is a wine connoisseur and be able to assist you with new wines and tastings. We’ll definitely go back! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!
We had an amazing New Year's Eve dinner. The service was exceptional. I'm always surprised by how many staff are present, but not in an intrusive way. Prix fixe menu was just right for the holiday and food was delicious.
Expensive for a prix fixe to me and the food was just okay.
Have been there another time for a special occasion and the prices were good given that the food was creative and really good on that occasion.
We've been to La Cuchara a number of times, mainly for their happy hour; this was only the second time for dinner. Final conclusion after 10+ visits, this place shines for happy hour ($1 pintxos, great cocktails and wine list, fantastic for groups of friends), but it really disappoints for dinner. The bar is so high from the ambiance, the drinks, the friendly and attentive staff, but the main courses - really everything but the pinxchos and alcohol - really come up short. Fix this guys!
The large central bar gives the dining room an instant buzz. We were tucked into a small alcove adjacent to the bar with a view into the open kitchen. The entire room was well appointed and, for a large space, was at the same time intimate. Staff was on point beginning at the host stand. Owner Jake Lefenfeld greeted us and his example of professional hospitality was picked up by every staff member with whom we interacted. Server Claire was helpful and knowledgeable. She sensed our pace and adjusted to us gracefully.
The food was tasty, fresh, well prepared & beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the wide variety of flavors, sizes, textures and options. Non meat eaters were easily accommodated. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening, so much so that I was literally the last guest to leave that night. Well done!
Food was okay. Wine was pricey.
Excellent service and delicious food.
Ribs were difficult to manage and mostly bone.
The manager and server Gavin paid extra attention to our table with all the allergies we had. Explaining every item we can eat or not eat that was related to our allergies of Peanuts, shell fish and butter. Excellent and knowledgeable and made my wife and daughters feel comfortable.
This has become one of our favorites. I'm mad because we just tried it for the first time in November and we have been back 3 times. It gets better each time.
Awesome FOOD! AWESOME SERVICE!
Everything was cooked fresh and tasty. My second time around and just as tasteful
& enjoyable as the first.
I have never been disappointed but this by far the best meal ever. Lots of sampling of the great small plates and a server who was simply delightful and fabulous. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant- so I just tell my friends to go! A great menu and overall terrific experience.
This is a nice place with a great looking bar. Came here with family for dinner. The food was hit or miss, but the ambiance and service were good. I would come back here to try out the happy hour and get some small plates, but would not come running back for a full on dinner.
We really enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner at La Cuchara. Our server was fun and the food was really good and authentic. We are already talking about when we will return.
There was hair in one of our dishes and three people in our party were sick the night after dinner.
So pleased that recommending and inviting out of town guests was a success!!! The staff that greeted us and our wait staff were attentive and were always at the ready. The bread, as usual, was mouthwatering and the pinchos and main course were delicious for everyone.
Christmas dinner with friends
Fantastic food and service. Great night out!
I love the look of the place, but the brick, wood and other hard surfaces causes it to be very loud and difficult to hear your dining partners as well as the waiter. I would say it is a better place to go as a couple instead of a group, which is what we had. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared and plated. The only other comment I have is that it is very difficult to find. Better directions should be on the website.
Excellent as always. And an outstanding waitstaff person.
Everything was perfection!
Love this restaurant! Great atmosphere and menu ! Really a fun place to dine with friends! Their happy hour is very reasonable and delicious! Staff very friendly and courteous!
Met 2 of our friends for dinner. It was their 1st time, but we've been here several times. Service and food great as always
Really loved the decor, charcuterie, wine selection and service (sommelier). The food service (our server) was so-so.
I’d recommend it and will go again, though!
The lamb shoulder was very fatty. Significantly more fat than meat.
Our waiter was not good. Forgot to bring us bread until the third time we asked for it. He didn’t bring us knives for the bread.
He was slow
Overall quite a disappointment at a restaurant we had enjoyed on previous occasions.
The four of us enjoyed our meal. However, as a word of caution, we were not told how spicy the calamari would be. It was tasty, but very hot (spicy). We liked it--we just wish that we had been warned!
We enjoyed our white wine very much.
An excellent experience.
Wish the happy hour extended to tables as well, not just the bar.
This was our first time at La Cuchara and it was simply incredible. From the moment we were seated, we were treated with such care by the staff as they guided us through the menu. The food was absolutely incredible as were the drinks. I ordered the Champagne flights to accompany our dining experience while my husband ordered a few different cocktails. Both were amazing and paired perfectly with everything we ate. The best champagne and rosé I’ve ever had! When we were first seated, our waitress asked if we had dined with them before and I stated we had been to Minnow, she shared this would be a very different experience, and it absolutely was. La Cuchara is now one of our favorite restaurants and we can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu. Everything about this restaurant, most importantly the food, was spectacular and Michelin Star level!
Food is quite good although service left something to be desired: fish was perfectly cooked and warm, set of cauliflower was ice-cold.
Our waiter didn’t make eye contact with us the entire time.
Food was just OK. Overpriced. Very small portions.
Got stuck sitting in a side room and not in the bar area which is brighter and more lively.
Fantastic. However, it’s rather noisy. Could have been our table.
