This has always been my favorite restaurant in all of Philly. I grew up with a very Italian family and this restaurant couldn’t be more authentic. The pasta is incredible and you can tell that everything is homemade. I could go on and on, but I would be here all day. If you’ve never been, you have to go!!

I went to la Fontana for brunch/early dinner on Sunday. I been costumer since early 2010 and it never disappoints. We did our wedding ceremony , birthdays , baby shower etc ,and it feels like it’s my second home. I order fettuchin bolognese for dinner and it is phenomenal. I asked to take a pic from the kitchen and they always say yes sure. La Fontana it’s a typical old mom and pop restaurant in Philly.

Fantastic food at a reasonably priced BYOB! We were greeted warmly by Manager Ari. Glad we had reservations as it was a busy Saturday night. Server Senti did a great job. Very attentive and personable!! Appetizers, dinners, and dessert. Try the Teramisu!! Thank you!! We will be back!

The dinner was amazing, and had a large serving size -great portions. The ambience was perfect we were celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary they delivered food with perfect timing between courses, we started with a lovely antipasto. I had Pollo Alla chitte, chicken with With chicken, topped with spinach, and mozzarella with a Demi glaze. You Cannot not miss this opportunity . Save room for dessert. I had my cheese cake was amazing, my husband had the cannoli, I must admit, he had a crisp cannoli—and I was a little jealous. I heard the crunch from across the table- so they fill the the cannoli when ordered and my cheesecake was delicious too!

We enjoyed both the risotto with shrimp and both the gnocchi with gorgonzola and gnocchi pomodoro. The arugula salad was perfect and the tiramisu and creme brulee made an excellent choice to end the meal.

My wife and I enjoyed an early (3 p.m.) dinner at La Fontana Della Citta before continuing on to a concert at the Kimmel Center. We were quickly seated at an outdoor table as we had reserved. Our server approached us with water, bread and olive oil and menus and told us about the specials. We decided to share the pasta fagioli as an appetizer. It was fresh and flavorful, obviously house made and in a good size bowl for us to share. Incidentally, our server asked us if we wanted our servings split individually for us or would we prefer sharing plates to serve ourselves. Next, we ordered one of the specials, the branzino over linguine to share. The fish and pasta were served fresh and perfectly prepared. Finally we shared a house made cannoli with two cups of coffees. It was fresh and tasty; the coffee was fresh and full bodied and an ideal way to finish our meal. Our dining experience………..service, food presentation and quality and value……….was outstanding.

I’ve been going to La Fontana since the day it opened it’s doors and It’s never enough to write about La Fontana. They are amazing people who work hard and provide great service, quality food and authentic ambience. I order Penne Alla Vodka every time for passed 10 years or so and it never disappoint. As well shine Made Tiramisu is my favorite. When weather permitted ask for outdoors and feel like you are in Italy.

The absolute best 'moms pops' italian in Rittenhouse square. I love going there. My girlfriend and I seat outdoor under bistrolights which makes ne feel like Europe. Can't wait to go back. My family visits the other location down shore Buna vita , del mare, coast. Thank you for great service and amazing food

The food portions were extremely small for restaurant week price of $45. The service was also poor. We waited 30 minutes to be waited on after sitting down. Also a tip was automatically added on to our bill and we were only a party of 3. I would not have wanted to tip 20% for the service we received. They need to work on their service and also increase their portions for the price we pay. For the second course it was a pasta sample and we literally got 1 ravioli, 6 gnocchi, and 4 penne. It was actually laughable that it was labelled as a course.

La Fontana is a special place. We have been coming here for years for date nights, group dinners, business events and personal celebrations. It is so personable and like visiting family. I have allergies that some restaurants are not very willing to accommodate but ask for their boss Ari and he will make it happen. He makes the meal so special, food is amazing and we have never been disappointed. They honestly can't do enough for their customers. Thank you!

Our waitress ( long brown hair pulled back- sorry I asked her name, but now I can't recall!) was wonderful! She provided just the right amount of checking on us, so as not to be "too hovering". The veal piccata was nicely done, though a little tougher than I usually like. We came early to beat the crowd, and had a nice little window table for 2. Would definitely go there again!

Food is delicious, we ordered the bruschetta, mussels and chicken parm and we both loved it. The pasta course was my favorite dish. I enjoyed the variety . On top of all that the service was top notch. They were so attentive and so nice. Our server was Kozeta!!! We will definitely come back and we hope Kozeta serves us again
