Lovely decor and great patio area. Unfortunately, the food did not match the price.
Worst egg benedict ever.
Bread was too hard cannot slice it.
waitress said because it’s toasted, but It’s like dried for a day.
Egg was over cooked.
Potato.. I didn’t even touch them.
Waste my money.
This is my third visit and La Societe is always a lovely experience. The servers are friendly and efficient, the decor is beautiful, and the food excellent. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a stylish brunch, lunch or dinner in Toronto.
No baby change table in washrooms
Great service and arrangement.
We have a group of 9 and the restaurant arrange a separate space with curtain to create a semi-private area.
fix your service and I will give you 5 stars. Everything is great about this spot except the service. I specifically said on multiple occasions because I was driving I would not be having the bottomless brunch - meaning as many mimosas you want, and not only did they bring me more than 1, but they also charged me. We had to follow up on multiple items for our table. When I asked the server about taking it off of my bill, he kept insisting I asked for it when he repeatedly put water in my glass and not mimosas to the table. The food is delicious, location is excellent, and the decor is beautiful. I really do love this place but please fix your service and it will be perfect.
Good food, good ambiance
Always Great! Just love La Societe. Nice place and excellent food.
totally understaffed. It took more than an hour to have our pre dinner drinks served ! We felt really sorry for the server , she just couldn't serve all the tables by herself
We really enjoyed the relaxed ambiance and beautiful decor. The food and service were decent, but could be slightly better in terms of presentation. It was a good experience.
Restaurant with nice indoor decor and a great patio for dining in nice summer weather
Nice French restaurant but a bit overpriced. Authentic ambience.
The summerlicious menu is among the best I've had. Great service, great patio view. Definitely going back for regular menu.
Been there, done that. I keep going back because I always have a great experience.
The restaurant interior is very attractive. Service and location good.
Love the ambiance, our server was excellent.
I realize that this can't be controlled - air conditioning was broken on a very hot afternoon. Uncomfortable for guests after walking on Bloor Street in heat - complimentary "cold" drink not offered, only water. Poor show.
The day was perfect; sunny and warm breezes on their delightful patio.
The service was attentive, casual yet elegant, and the food was what we had come to expect from La Societe. Wonderfully prepared, with a definite Parisian flare.
My wife and I were celebrating some good news and La Societe was the perfect venue.
I would recommend this restaurant highly.
Wow! The interior is absolutely incredible! The service was very warm and friendly! (Wish I got her name). Overall I was blown away by the food and the experience. Probably going to make this a regular spot of mine!
Location is very good. Decor and ambiance is very nice. Food was good for the most part: best were: Branzino entree (fantastic), the mussels and beet salad appetizer. The ahi tuna appetizer had too much avocado for the tuna to stand out and the fried nori was way too salty. The duck was a little dry but otherwise good. Unfortunately, the dessert was quite a failure- the “profiterole” looked more like a flat pumpernickel bagel with filling. The pastry was too mushy. The filling was good but the presentation was just awful. Needs reinvention.
This is the second time I have been here & LOVEloveLove the ambiance. The service is always lovely. Maitre d' on Sun. was attentive. Go - AND it's on the Summerlicious 2018 list!
It was Sunday brunch. Loud Bar music was blasting, the food was cold and overcooked.
Service was slow.
I would never go back and would never recommend to anyone.
I ordered the mushroom pasta and found it very bland. I didn’t want to be rude, when asked how everything was I requested some salt. When the server returned we mentioned the dish was bland and asked for more salt, pepper and prarmasean. I didn’t end up eating more than a few bites and the server didn’t follow up or offer a new dish. (Something I would expect at this price point). I left feeling disappointed and hungry. I also forgot to ask to have our parking validated. Don’t forget because no one will offer. If I ever went back I wouldn’t order pasta. Everyone else loved their food.
All amazing except for the darn hammering on the stairs!!
Table inside better!!! And that’s more than doable !
Excellent food along with superb service made this a wonderful lunch. The decor is quite charming. On most summer/spring days the patio would be wonderful. At the moment there are some repairs being completed below that generate a lot of noise, but they will done soon.
The wine list is a typical Toronto wine list (overpriced), but there are some wonderful and interesting wines.
La Societe is on my list for a return visit.
The Niçoise salad was terrible! Drowned in dressing, no potatoes, beans (few) cut in one inch pieces, tomatoes (???), two tiny slices of olives, 3 shaved thin squares of tuna (at first I thought they were thin slices of beets! Not even close to being a Nicoise and I this is supposed to be a French restaurant!! VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Went for Father’s Day
It was Father’s day and we took our kids with us (8 and 5 yrs old). Our server was super friendly and considerate. He also recommended what will be suitable for us. Food was yummy and the atmosphere was very nice. We had a great time and enjoyed the meal a lot.
Lovely meal! We will definitely return. The service was friendly and attentive without being annoying and the food was delicious.
Really nice atmosphere. The food was very good. A very nice restaurant to have a relaxing brunch with friends or family.
They need to go back to their old recipes. The French onion soup has to much tomato sauce and the mussels are better in the white wine recipe.
The food was amazing. It feels like being in a French cafe. The service was slow.
Fabulous Sunday brunch with impeccable service as always.
I've been to La Societe a few times for weekend brunches and dinners and each experience has been excellent! Brunch is delicious and they serve up one of the best almond milk lattes I've ever had. In regards to dinner; they have oysters for a dollar per on thursdays that never disappoint. Lastly, drinks, BEST VODKA MARTINI IN THE GTA. I would highly recommend La Societe to anybody.
We went for Sunday Brunch. Even tho it was cool we opted to enjoy their patio which had heat lamps which we really didn't need.
I had the Eggs Florentine and my guest had smoked salmon with her eggs. We also requested fries with this - which are the best here.
I like the restaurant and food very much and come her often.
Americano coffee was very bad. Food took very long. Potatoes in brunch menu we not to par.
Societe, like all of the properties belonging to the same people, is fabulous. Mr. Khaboud always delivers the best menus in the most beautiful settings. For a neighborhood that's ever-changing, Societe is a wonderful and consistent pillar. Carry on being fabulous!
A wonderful meal, great service and enjoyed by all!
There were 7 of us. We all enjoyed our food , but found the restaurant very noisy. The service was very lacking. Perhaps short of staff? We had to wait a while before placing our order. Had to ask if there was any wine left in bottle. Just not attentive.
