La Tavola Trattoria
Exposed brick, dark wood floors & rustic colors give La Tavola its authentic trattoria feel, while progressive touches hint at its innovative cuisine. The food is simple yet creative, elegant & certainly delicious - the kind of food you could eat every day or turn into a celebration.
La Tavola also offers one of the city's most unique brunch menus. It is a can't miss!

Always great service and great food.
Great friendly service from our greeter to the server. We came up the back entrance/fire escape. Was greeted with a spirited smile.
Enjoyed the evening.
Great service, great food and great dinner as always
Just a great experience from entering until leaving. Super service super food in a laid back bustling atmosphere.
This is always a favorite while in town.
Such a quaint little restaurant! We had the nicest waiter. The food was amazing- the fresh pasta was incredible. Would definitely go back. They even have valet parking right across the street which was super convenient!
We had a party that was there to work on the business relationship and discuss our business. The wait staff was perfect and that they let us along with our drinks and appetizers while we talk and when it was time to order they were there. Love the food love the place, will be back.
I went here on Monday for a date night with my partner and both of us loved the place. We live in the suburbs so I hoped it would live up to the reviews and it certainly did, making it well worth the rush hour drive in! All of the food was delicious. We shared an appetizer, each had salads, and I had the spaghetti cacio e Pepe and my partner had the squid ink spaghetti. You can absolutely taste the difference that fresh noodles makes. Mine was a Monday night special, they had 3 different pasta dishes available for $10 each. What a great deal?! And to top it all off, the tiramisu was to die for. I almost wish I hadn’t ordered it because now nothing will ever live up to it 😩 And our server was delightful. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered outstanding service, thanks Emily! We will absolutely be back 🥰
Went there for a first date. Excellent food and service and we were given space to talk and get to know each other. Very good menu and wine list and the food we had was top nootch. Highly recommended!
I forget about this gem of a place that we can walk to in less than ten minutes! We celebrated a friend’s birthday on Sunday afternoon and it was perfect. The food was fabulous, the prices were surprisingly modest, and the service was the best. We will go back soon.
We went here for an anniversary dinner and had a lovely meal on the patio. It was a Saturday night and it was quite busy but they were able to seat our reservation quickly. I really like the patio.
The service was great for our leisurely dinner. Our server got everything right and was helpful and friendly.
I had the squid ink pasta. It was delicious! Loved the house made pasta with plenty of fresh calamari and pesto. It was excellent! The bread and olive oil that they provided were nice!
The dessert really stood out! We tried vegan chocolate gelato, cannolis, tiramisu, and a brown sugar meringue with pears. The chocolate gelato was amazing!! It was so creamy and rich. It was so delicious! The cannolis were also great. The orange highlights were perfect! The tiramisu was light and airy with a perfect coffee flavor. The brown sugar meringue was really nice! Delicious and so unique!
There's something just warm and comforting about this restaurant - it's as though you've set down to eat in a comfortable lodge or something. The food is outstanding.
One of my favorite Atlanta restaurants. Never disappoints. Worth the drive from west of Marietta!
My wife and I come here all the t I'll me. Impeccable everything!!!!
The food was delicious as usual. We loved the new menu items.
Our server was fantastic and on top of her game. The host was great and we had some good laughs when we checked for our reservation.
Always love this restaurant...not a fan of the New Year's Eve Prix Fixed Menu though...two years in a row we are disappointed not to have an option to order the amazing pasta dishes!
Went here for New Years Eve. The food was very good, but not the best Italian we’ve had in the city. They stuck us on the back patio which was disappointing. That’s where most of their seating is. Service was great. Waiter was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations.
Our second visit - this time for New Year's Eve. The prix fixe menu was communicated in advance, so there were no surprises, but we were really interested in trying some of the fantastic sounding and looking items from the regular menu ... so we'll have to go again soon! No complaints about our New Year's Eve dinner - just not the options of our first visit that put La Tavola at the very top of our list of Atlanta favorites.
Excellent as always - very consistent - it’s our go to place in the neighborhood.
We love the staff and the location! Always a great pleasure to dine at La Tavola.
Our wait person, Donna, was superb. Great service. Did not hover. Responsive and detail oriented. Friendly and warm but not intrusive. Food is consistently good. Great wine menu and cocktail options. Excellent olive oil served with the bread - worth the carbs!
Too noisy for my taste, but everyplace seems to be that way now.
Quietest place to eat these days is Chik-Fil-A
Been a fan of La Tavola for more than a decade. Last meal was a disappointment all around: distracted staff, flavorless pasta, limp seafood, poor presentation. Ambiance remains commendable, but sadly feels like a long-time favorite resting on its laurels.
Worth the drive to Atlanta Metro. We usually stay in home area 30 miles west: Acworth, Kennesaw, Cartersville. Excellent in category of Italian Trattoria. It's run efficiently. Good to have the valet parking in the Bank up front. Overall, a memorable dining experience.
Great pasta! Great service! Will definitely be back again!
Weird. Food was great as usual. Always consistent. The ”we” service protocol has to stop....please! Been frequenting for what seems like a lifetime and has always been an old neighborhood gem. But it seemed tired this time and if you don’t change the wine list by the glass we are never coming back.
It was very nice. Food, service and ambiance was great!😀
The food here has always been exceptional. Not just good. Exceptional. I had the grilled calimari app and the mushroom truffle pasta. OH SO DELISH ! Wait staff is exceptional as well. Chef did a great job with my “ no dairy “ issue.
Such a great experience! The staff was very friendly and checked in on us just the right amount. The appetizers and entrees were excellent. It was such a cozy and romantic atmosphere. You can’t go wrong with choosing La Tavola for your special occasion.
Excellent wine selection. Food was delicious, the veal meatballs were especially good.
Poor seating location affects my overall rating
We are huge fans of La Tav and have been for years. We were a party of six on this occasion which might be the reason for the poor service. Our waitress left us with empty water and wine glasses. The service was not what we usually get at La Tav. We have the veal which we’ve heard is amazing but they may have been just having an off night . The pasta portions were smaller then usual.
I won’t let my review deter you overall it’s a wonderful neighborhood classic restaurant.
Do not order the calamari. Our plate had 4 on it and 9 potatoes and some eggplant. Not what I expected for calamari.
It’s always a delight to dine at LaTavola. Great food, ambiance and service!
Always perfection....wonderful experience & accompanied with great wine!
We love laTavola. Our server (Kala) was a nightmare early in the dining event but finally pulled it together and ended strong. Whew!! 5 stars for everything else.
Great Restaurant with terrific food and service.
My wife and I have eaten here many times since the 1990's and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or service. Unfortunately the computer server was down last night and securing the appropriate table for us challenging. Austin, our server made up for all of that. The Caesar salad was on point as well as the seafood soup and the spaghetti. We missed not trying one of the desserts because they are always so wonderful. We were on our way to the symphony and had partaken in too many desserts over the weekend celebrating the Christmas season.
Server Will was great. Pasta and wine selection were vast and delicious. Excellent date night.
Reliably good, but the chefs need to pay attention to their seasoning. Some of our dishes were over salted, not enough to ruin them, because the overall flavor was good, but enough to throw the balance off and make them less than pleasant at the end. Other than that, the evening was pleasant with good service and nice ambiance.
