La Tavola Trattoria
Exposed brick, dark wood floors & rustic colors give La Tavola its authentic trattoria feel, while progressive touches hint at its innovative cuisine. The food is simple yet creative, elegant & certainly delicious - the kind of food you could eat every day or turn into a celebration.
La Tavola also offers one of the city's most unique brunch menus. It is a can't miss!

Great food and outstanding service! Server advised on vegetarian options
Hands down the best brunch I’ve had in a long time. But La tavola never disappoints so I was not surprised when I decided to have brunch for the first time...I normally come for dinner. My children absolutely love the spaghetti and meatballs! Wine selection is vast! And the service is top notch! My favorite Italian restaurant in Atlanta.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. The place is small so I was a little skeptical because we barely had anywhere to stand while waiting for our table but it was well worth it. The service was great and the food was delicious. An authentic take on Italian cuisines with verything made in house. Best meatballs I’ve ever had!!!
It was our daughter's birthday. Our server was very attentive to our celebration. She wished our daughter a happy birthday upon greeting us, and brought it up in conversation during our meal. The restaurant prepared a special dessert. All in all, a very nice cap to a good day out in Atlanta.
I had the mushroom ragu which was delicious, as was my boyfriend’s bolognese. The atmosphere, overall, was nicely but the AC was blasting and it was very cold.
Absolutely our go to place
For great casual Italian. Great neighborhood joint
With perfect service and super food.
Delicious Italian fare with fine ingredients and made from scratch with very warm and inviting servers and a lively but comfortable atmosphere!
Food was great! Service was excellent! My birthday brunch was a success because of the great food and service. You Must try the tiramisu!!!! So good!!!!!
Went there for my husband's birthday. The staff knew as soon as we walked in the door why we were there and greeted the 'birthday boy'. Every member of the staff that delivered anything to our table knew exactly which member of the party of 6 it went to - no asking who is this for. The wait staff were amazing and helpful with suggestions and special orders. The food was wonderful - there are selections to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences (e.g., gluten free, vegan), fresh in-house-made pasta, and great selections of meat and fish. My daughter, who is a pastry chef, was very impressed with their pastries for brunch, not to mention their bolognese as well. Atlanta has a few great Italian restaurants, and this one is right up there at the top! I had the Taglialino mushroom ragu for brunch and highly recommend it. Can't wait to go back!
Outrageous food and wine selection. Fresh pasta is incredible. Friendly warm and fun!!!
All four of us really enjoyed our meal, especially the mushroom tagliolini and squid ink spaghetti. The outdoor dining area was charming, and our server was wonderful in describing the dishes and being attentive.
The pasta and wine were exceptional- can’t wait to go back.
This place has the best pasta in Atlanta! I truly have enjoyed every dish I've tried. The lasagna on Sundays is amazing. Service and staff are knowledgeable and friendly! Definitely recommend it.
This restaurant ALWAYS stands alone in our opinion. We eat out a lot and spent 2 weeks in Italy for our honeymoon, so we know good Italian food. This was one of our favorites before we went and remains our favorite after we returned.
Our waiter Will did a superb job taking us through the menu & our dining experience. Never felt rushed though he was always available if we needed him. Great suggestions across all our courses. Fun atmosphere & a nice bar, along with a creative overflow space out the back of the restaurant.
We have eaten here six times for our Anniversary celebrations! The food is always delicious and they always treat us very well. Joan and I also like the fact that it is not so loud here and you can have nice conversation without yelling at each other. I highly recommend La Tavola!
Our first time at the restaurant. We ate with friends and the food was wonderful. A neighborhood gem.
La Tavola is one of our favorite spots for special occasions and this visit did not disappoint. Our server was attentive and made our experience memorable . Of course, the food was delicious as always. We can recommend La Tavola without reservation and look forward to our next visit.
We have written many reviews on LaTavola but are running out of superlatives. It is always nice to be made to feel at home, recognized by management and even servers who aren't on our table that particular night. With some other restaurants, even ones we like very much, there might be only 1 or 2 items on the menu we would consider ordering. At LaTavola there is not a single item, appetizer, entree or dessert we would not look forward to having for our meal. Drinks are among the best anywhere, strong with appropriate proportions of whatever is added. This night something as simple as spaghetti and meatballs and the ever favorite squid ink pasta were as sublime as always. The pastry chef outdid themselves again with the tiramisu. Can't wait to return.
The food is good, the service attentive, but our foursome was jammed into a table near the central food station. I could actually feel the heat from the open kitchen on my back. The table was barely big enough to hold all the dishware let alone a bread basket and wine bottle. And it was very loud. Rather than a relaxing meal I spent a lot of it worried about having a hot dish dropped on me. I don’t think I’ll be going back for a while.
The food did not disappoint as usual. The dining space is very crowded and we were at a table in middle which means that we were bumped into a lot. Try to get a booth or eat outside.
Great flexibility to satisfy a vegan as well as your "normal" diner.
Great service and food. We will be back.
Great food, service - we dined on the outside patio which was lovely. Really enjoyed our meal there.
Awesome restaurant!! We loved everything we had and the service and staff were great! Will be back when we are in town again.
Amazing Italian! The patio is dreamy
Took a new employee there, and he loved it. He was on the fence about the mushroom ragu, but one bite in, he thanked me for insisting he order that dish. Delicious as usual:-). We missed the cannolis though!
The team is always so accommodating, so warm and so gracious. Lauren at the door is the perfect way to start a dining experience. She is genuine, kind, courteous, professional, and always takes great care of us. Tomato Feast was spectacular. We thought we had died and gone to heaven with the appetizer, and then came the lamb. It was the so flavorful, so tender, so moist and cooked to perfection. The spices were out of this world. I wish the meal could have lasted forever. Thank you for a GREAT evening.
Bday but we always eat here, never disappointed
Always love the food and drinks. I would like to see them offer Tanqueray Gin though. Also dislike the two tight two-top tables in the bar area. Too crowded and the bar patrons tend to crowd you. Those need to be rethought.
Nice evening with very good food.
Exceptional as always. Consistently one of the best restaurants in Atlanta!
La Tavola was recommended to us during a recent visit to Atlanta. This is a great neighborhood gem of a restaurant. It appeared like there were many regulars, but as a newbie it felt comfortable the minute we walked in the front door. It's a small warm dining room, and the smells from the open kitchen permeate across the room as soon as you enter.
Food was fresh, and we ordered a special appetizer and pasta that the waitress suggested, (both excellent). Pasta was done aldente, and the food was served steaming hot and in a timely fashion. The wine list had a nice selection of Italians and some domestics, at all price ranges.
This is not a fancy pretentious touristy place! I would say it is an upscaled local Northern Italian restaurant, with excellent service and high quality food. If you looking for a big place to be seen and get Red Sauce and Chicken parmesan dishes there are other choices in town.
We would certainly recommend La tavola and will come back next time we visit Atlanta.
Special menu on for Tomato Feast. All those items we had were better than the normal menu. Great food and wine. Had a great time.
Truly wonderful both service and food. Will definitely go OUT of my way to eat there again!
La Tavola is simply a nice restaurant. It's consistent. The food is good, but the servers make your visit a wonderful experience.
Excellent dinner. Four people in our party - we shared a few appetizers and each of us ordered different entrees. Our server was Donna. She is very knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive to our needs.
Never disappoints! Love La Tavola
Try the squid ink pasta with calamari. It has a bit of a kick to it that pushes it from good to outstanding in my book! Our foursome enjoyed the food and the service was very good. The restaurant is small, though, and the tables quite close together so it's not a place for quiet conversation or for someone who may be a bit hard of hearing. Just something to keep in mind.
