La Tavola Trattoria Ratings and Reviews
Third time at La Tavola and as always outstanding in every possible way. My wife and I are fairly jaded diners and do not easily impress, but this place hits it out of the park every time. Every item we've ever ordered was flavorful and cooked to perfection. And the amount of food you get for your money is stunning.
We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day meal. They honored our reservation and seated us right away.
Our appetizers were a scallop dish that was similar to ceviche and a frisée and root vegetable salad with apple cider vinaigrette. Both were delicious.
Our entrees were a Halibut with a citrus and green strawberry compote and I had the NY Strip Steak au Poivre. Again, nothing but raves from the two of us.
Desserts were both delicious. My wife had a chocolate ganache flourless cake that was fabulous and I had the pistachio cake that was a nice delicious. Our server was charming and attentive..
We will be back soon.
Always a pleasure dining at La Tavola. Food is amazing (top notch Italian) and service is always excellent. This is a favorite spot for brunch and pasta/wine nights. My parents love coming when they're in town too!
My girlfriend and I love coming here for our special occasions , the food and service keep us coming back. The host, busser, server Will, and the manager all take great care of us.
AlWAYS a great experience and an incredible meal. From the moment we walk in, we feel welcome, appreciated, and taken care of.
The food was great. Our table was not ideal; a booth would have been better for my family. Not really that good for a 6 year old; crowded. In a booth, he could have been isolated better, out of folks' way. But we really enjoyed all the courses of our meal, and everything was very professional. One of the guy helper/servers was really nice to our son.
Cute little Italian restaurant in Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta. Returned for a second time and loved the experience just as much. Calimari appetizer is delicious and the tiramisu bar for dessert is one of the best desserts I'd ever had.
A local favorite. Consistently excellent food and service. MC was a very attentive and knowledgeable server. She did a wonderful job.
La Tavola has been my go to restaurant for friendly birthday dinners for years. This last visit did not disappoint. Enjoy this wonderful neighborhood gem. The mushroom ragu is delicious and everyone seems to love the pasta Bolognese.
Excellent as always. Our “ go to” spot when in Midtown.
Reliable service, excellent menu, welcoming, knowledgeable staff.
Mary-Cathryn was an outstanding server.
Always appreciate the help of the wine expert!
Everything was lovely. We were a bit disappointed that the food was too salty. Dial that back and we will return!
Excellent service. The gnocchi was delicious. $10 specials on Monday nights.
Dinner with a friend from DC. Everything was... as good as it gets! This is such a great neighborhood restaurant, I wish we had more in Atlanta. My friend even commented that DC was missing a good Italian restaurant like this.
Spaghetti and meatballs meager only two meat balls
This was my second time to this restaurant. I wanted to share my good experience on smoked salmon with a friend of mine, but it's available only on Sunday brunch. Today we ordered Calamari, Tagoliolini, Squid Ink Spaghetti, and tiramisu for dessert. The potato and squid in Calamari were well seasoned, not too salty nor too greasy. Definitely recommended.
Thoroughly enjoyable experience. We arrived an hour early for our reservation and even though we were willing to wait at the bar Scott was able to seat us within a few minutes. Our waiter, Harris, was top notch - knowledgeable, very pleasant and attentive. I had the Cobia (market fish for the evening and it was outstanding). My wife had the combo of seafood shellfish and was very pleased. Pistachio dessert was exceptionally good. Very pleased with t he entire evening.
Great dining experience, as always. We love the new winter menu - highly recommend the new salads, and the cobia (market fish) over pureed celeraic was excellent. Staff is always friendly and pretty well informed about both the food and the wine. Our neighborhood go-to spot!
The gnocchi at this restaurant is completely out of this world amazing!!!
My boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to try… This popped up on OpenTable and I’m so happy we gave it a shot. The restaurant itself is very intimate and the ambience is lovely. The service was good and the prices were fair. Again, the gnocchi plate that I had was probably one of the best pastas I’ve ever eaten in my life!!!
Great food, portions looked small on the plate but were very filling. Waiter gave us a free dessert, nice guy. I recommend the place.
The food is extraordinary! Never a surprise always what it should be. I’m amazed at how I am consistently pleased. Everything is deeply satisfying. Plus I like the space and all the staff are very knowledgeable.
Donna was exceptional! Food was fantastic.
Lovely. As always.
Love La Tavola! This place has become our go-to brunch location. Aside from it being within walking distance of our home, the food is consistent, the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is on point.
Excellent customer service from the greeting and seating by the host to the great suggestions by our waiter. Both of our dishes were delicious, not over priced, and some of the finest Italian food I’ve had!!
Excellent food and great service
My wife and I decided to attend a concert nearby and found this highly rated restaurant to try out. One of the things that attracted us was the dinner menu. Unfortunately, through no fault of the restaurant, It was New Year’s Eve and they had a prix fixe menu like most establishments. I was disappointed because I had previously craved a few items on the dinner menu that were not offered prix fixe. The items we ordered were very nice, and we would definitely go back again to try out the main menu items. I was very impressed with our appetizer which was a bruschetta with smoked trout, some kind of cheese (possibly goat) and trout roe. See photo. It reminded me of a very elegant bagel with cream cheese and lox. The only other disappointment was that we had to sit on the back patio. It was nicely laid out, however the view of the parking lot was not very inviting at all. We will definitely request a table inside on our next visit.
My wife and I come here often and we LOVE it! We always take out of town guests here and they LOVE it. We were both a bit disappointed to find out that day that there was going to be a fixed menu. I was only able to eat one thing on the menu because of this. Very dsapointing.
Ate here with my family over the festive season and as always good food, wine and a lively atmosphere. It is one restaurant that has kept its standard of food over the years whereas we find a lot of restaurants around Atlanta start off well and then go downhill by the second visit. It is worth driving to in summer and winter! Had the salumi board to share as an appetizer and I then had the grouper for entree while the rest of the family had pasta. We were too full for dessert!
Great food as always. Excellent service and served us in time to go see the how at the Fox...
My favorite restaurant!
My wife had pork tenderloin - outstanding. She was also very pleased with the wine our server Richard suggested. My spaghetti Carbonara without meatballs was good. Salads both excellent. Service warm, friendly, and professional. We look forward to our next visit to La Tavola.
Will was great. Food was awesome as always...
Food was excellent, Donna our server was excelllent
This place is an Atlanta treasure, a consistently great experience all around.
Excellent dinner before a trip to the Fox to see the Nutcracker. Excellent food, wine and service. Highly recommended location for a fantastic Italian meal
Emily, our server, was very knowledgeable about preparation/ ingredients of every dish and helpful. Just excellent excellent service. The food was exquisitely prepared and presented. The patio area is perfect for that intimate cozy dinner. The spaghetti was the best ever! Want excellent food and outstanding customer service? Go to Tavola!!!
Service is always good, but this occasion was exceptional. Friendly, prompt and fun. La Tavola always seems to have enough people to do service well.
