As Executive Chef at Atlanta's best Italian trattoria, Chef Kevin Grossman is inspired by the culture and heart of the south and enjoys intertwining the northern flavors of his past with southern cuisine to create what he refers to as “rustic comfort food.”

    A wonderful little trattoria with a great ambience and thoughtful staff. Go on Mondays for some pasta specials or any other night for their standards. Great with friends or for a date night. Eat in the dining room for date night; outside on the back patio if you want it quieter. It’s a dreamy place. Everyone’s friendly, the lighting is just-so, the food amazing and you’ll always leave in a good mood.

    We have been trying to find an outstanding Italian restaurant in Atlanta and we've most definitely found it! The food was absolutely excellent, the service similarly excellent and the decor and environment were great. No doubt about it: next time we have a special day to celebrate (last night was our anniversary) or visitors to treat, we'll be returning to La Tavola Trattoria.

    Extremely mediocre food. Cacio e pepe was low on cheese and had no pepper. Spaghetti carbonara had almost no cheese. Both dishes were overly salty, as were the meatballs. The meatballs were also in a very tart sauce. This is one of the worst italian meals I have had.

    We had a delightful meal last evening at La Tavola. The chicory salad, which is fairly new on the menu was very good, and we also had the mushroom ragout, which was delicious as usual. For us, going to La Tavola is like going “home” because everyone who works there is so friendly and interested in us. Quite often, we go to a movie before going to La Tavola, and everyone is always interested in what we saw, and what we thought of it.

    It’s been a few years since I ventured ITP but La Tavola was as good as I remembered. Food was fantastic and Jodie was a top notch server. We had 4 people and between us had a wide range of appetizers and meals. We all thoroughly enjoyed everything

    Our server made the night but the food was disappointing at best. A old favorite place one last time really. A soggy Caesar salad, meatballs so salty we couldn’t finish. Same salt issues with the veal and we finally just called it a wrap finished our drinks and called it done. If not for our server we would have definitely had a miserable time. As it was we just focused on the positives which included the drinks and Bolognese.

    All three of us had something different, no one’s was over the top. Best thing was the meatball appetizer. Very limited menu, and the Kitching could not accommodate small request.

    Long time fans of La Tavola. The food is great and the service is usually pretty good. My only complaint is the seating is very cramped and uncomfortable. This is why we usually get take away instead dinning in.

    While one of our favorite apps ( beet salad ) removed from the menu, caesar salad always pleases. Dinner of two entrees perfect portion and taste every time.

    We just love dining at LT. We have never had a bad meal in the 10+ years that we have been dining here! The servers are all so great. They describe the dishes so well. They course everything out perfectly. Although it's a smaller menu compared to some other restaurants, you can always find something different on the menu each season. Whether it's the burrata prepared in a different way (fig, yumm!) or a stuffed pasta with a seasonal veggie; it's all amazing. And the great thing is, if you aren't into seasonal flavors, they have their staples like the squid ink pasta, mushroom ragu, etc. The ambiance is cozy, inviting and intimate. It's our go-to spot for a date night or celebration dinner.

    Fantastic meal and server, Scotty, who made the perfect recommendations for wine, meals and dessert. 3 women shared Caesar salad, zuppe di pesce and tagliolini with mushrooms. All were amazing and Scotty told us the cheesecake would blow our minds- and he was so right. Down to earth restaurant, very reasonably priced for fantastic food, service and ambience was laid back too. Would return regularly if I lived in the area.

    While I love this restaurant, the menu is limited for me since I am allergic to poultry (think chicken stock.) I’m disappointed that they use chicken stock in several BEEF dishes (meatballs, bolognese, etc.) Otherwise, service is excellent (Amanda is awesome,) food quality and taste is excellent and ambiance is great. It’s a bit noisy but it feels cozy and energized.

    Awesome meal! The abondanza menu was delicious! The offerings showcased the Chef’s creativity and ability to balance flavors, texture, aroma, and eye appeal. The quality of the food and overall dining experience is absolutely the best that Atlanta had to offer. La Tavola is my all time favorite!     Our whole dinner experience was a 10000/10! Our waiter, Scott, was so incredibly accommodating & explained the menu so well. We had our toddler with us & Scott made it an experience for him as well! He included him in every conversation, gave him a coloring sheet with crayons, and was overall just so kind & made it such a meaningful experience for us. We’ll definitely be back when we visit ATL again!

    We live in the neighborhood and have enjoyed La Tavola since it opened years ago. In the last few years they have really stepped up their food game. Cocktails could use a little help but wine list is good.

    Our first time at La Tavola (we had tried walking in before but no luck-so book ahead!) and a great little restaurant it is. Our Arctic Char was prepared to perfection, and the Hamachi crudo was super. A good wine list (we chose the Amarone) and reasonably priced too. If you are a couple or perhaps a lean foursome, request a booth and you will have the best seat in the house!

    Always a treat to go to LaTavola. Food, service, and ambiance are great. Brought out of town guests to show them our favorites in Atlanta and it didn't disappoint. Although the new squid ink pasta dish doesn't hold a candle to the old one that was one of my favorites anywhere.

    Loved sitting outside on the patio in the back. Food was fantastic and our server was very helpful and friendly. This was our 31st wedding anniversary dinner before going to a show at The Fox. Highly recommend this place.

    I’m not sure if they were behind or scrambling and trying to catch up for lost time, but every food item was burned and the roasted chicken had definitively been placed and left in the broiler too long. The meat was so dry that even the skin was dried out and shriveled. The sprouts were burned to the point where they were hard and piercing. It’s like everything was cooked at the highest possible temperature to help the kitchen get caught up. They comped the chicken dish which was nice, but it was an overall incredibly disappointing experience. We don’t plan on coming back.

    We were able to score a table on the patio for Abbondanza and boy, was it great! Chicory salad, venison carpaccio, Cavatelli with duck, agnolotti with pear, Budino for dessert, lots of wine. Very friendly server made for a great evening.
