La Verità Ratings and Reviews
Excellent service by Carl and Fred, super wine service from Stefanie great selection of wine to match some great food from the kitchen. One of our top meals, and we are coming back later this week.
We had a great time the waiter was faboulous! excellant service, fantastic food!
Would recommend to all my family and friends and will be back.
As usual, La Verita met our expectations of excellent food and high standard service. The grilled Salmon was delicious and don't forget to leave room for dessert. They have pictures of desserts on an Ipad where they do a wonderful job in showing you in detail. The tiramisu is to die for :)
Highly recommend and we shall be back!
La Verita is definitely one of the top restaurants in Montreal. Food is consistently excellence, as is the service. Love this place!
The food was excellent. This is easily one of the best restaurants in the West Island. Our waiter Adam was very friendly and professional. Will definitely return.
We had excellent service. The food was great. My kids loved it as well. Our waiter Adam was excellent, very professional, polite and was joining with my son. We really enjoyed the evening.
My family and I have been patrons of this restaurant from its inception. It is always our favourite over the years...always true...
First visit. Will not be my last. Food (liver) was delicious. Would have had a second glass of wine if the server had not whisked my empty glass away without asking if I wanted another one. Otherwise everything was excellent. Thanks.
The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and knowledgable about the menu.
It was fabulous
Very average food .
Definitely would not run back so fast.
Adam was an amazing waiter. Knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. The tuna and lamb were outstanding. Loved sitting on the beautiful terrace. We went for my husbands birthday and can't wait to return. I have been before and loved the pasta and fish too!
Celebrated my best friend's birthday and La Verita was the perfect place. Excellent, great service and wonderful ambience. Highly recommend and shall be back :)
We had a great experience at La Verita. Excellent food and service. We will be back!
We have been patrons of this restaurant since it's beginnings, we are always happy to return. They just keep getting better at everything they do. Thank you for being... true...
We went to La Verità to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We were promptly seated at a table with no place settings and waited a good 20+ minutes to get our place settings (which came after the Focaccia and long after our orders were taken and drinks were brought). Also, our bread only came halfway through the salad portion of the meal. The food was good but expensive for what it was. Finally, when I made the reservation I made note that it was our 10th wedding anniversary (on the line that asked if I reserved for a special occasion); I was disappointed that the restaurant didn't acknowledge this special occasion in any way. I did not necessarily expect anything free but there wasn't even a mention of it by the waiter or host - I would have expected that if there is a line that asks this question it is because they want to know for a reason. While the food was good, I don't think I will be returning as I think there are many better options on the west island that offer better food, value and service.
Things started well with the warm and friendly greeting we had from Adam. We selected to be on the terrace which was nicely decorated with actual herbs you could pull off the bushes and eat. Adam took the time to describe in French (his second language) the extra options not on the menue. He could of done it it Italian as well. We felt very relaxed and not being pushed in any way. Adam discussed with us not only the different dishes but all sorts of different subjects. By the end of the meal we felt we were being served by a friend more than by a waiter. The antipasti, the soup, the main course, the wine, the desert, the cappuccino were all out of this world. Easy access, easy parking. We will definitely add this to our restaurant list to visit more frequently and bring friends.
Excellent food and overall experience in West Island Montreal. The food was authentic Italian- homemade pastas and sauces, fresh vegetables and an extensive and varied wine list. The server was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful- our dessert was comped for my birthday. For a strip mall location, the restaurant was well-decorated and chic. My only slight criticism as that the noise level was quite high. All in all, a very pleasant surprise.
The service was phenomenal. The food was truly authentic. Wonderful evening!
Service was fine until the restaurant became busy.
Fantastic food and ambiance!
Carl our waiter was very good and added to our overall very positive experience.
nice atmosphere. very modern layout. music was intense but not intrusive if you like that.
I had the veal cutlet. Was very dry, but I think I just caught them on an off night b/c the arugula + reduction that dressed it was very delicious. Escargot starter was best I've had.
Service was excellent.
Food was exceptional. Service was personal and attentive. Look forward to our next visit.
Entered restaurant around 18h30 with a reservation. Was seated immediately. Quiet ambience, nice decor, and great choices of entrées. Octopus was perfectly cooked, as well as lobster ravioli and elk médaillon. House bread served piping hot, as well as soup, excellent! Bread is to die for, could have eaten that all night! Service is friendly, and fast! Overall positive experience, will definitely go back, expecting same results!
Food, service and ambiance great as always. We bring friends to this restaurant and in turn they want to come back on their own.
the food was amazing, the service was great. I would recommend to anyone and everyone.
Superb service and fresh food- well prepared -very attentive staff
We selected La Verita because of its west Island location and excellent reviews online. Our dinner experience did not disappoint. Service, led by Stephanie, was excellent. Food overall was excellent; all four in our party rated their entrees excellent. La Verita's take on crème brulee was also first rate, and was selected by three of the four of us. The fourth enjoyed an apple pastry, the details of which I do not recall -- but he left not a crumb. We will come back!
Really good stuff! Make sure to ask for the daily menu. Had a seared foie gras that was fantastic! I would recommend the lobster ravioli and and the duck magret. Snails made for great appetizers.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It's top 3 best restaurant in the west island.
Friendly staff, good food, easy to get to location with lots of parking. Nice!
Usually much better service. At first it didn't seem to be clear who was our waiter.Felt like we had been forgotten.
Also we were unfortunately sitting next to a table with a young child that got noisier as the night progressed.
Food was very good and the manager surprised us when he gave us our bottle of wine for free to make up for some of the problems. Very nice!
The truth is that this restaurant is all about attentive service and delicious dining. The only slightly weak link was the grilled octopus appetizer which we have really enjoyed in the past. This time, although still delicious was served barely warm... almost as if it had been previously grilled and then refrigerated and not warmed up enough. What we missed was that freshly charred taste and heat in temperature. We both opted for off menu offerings (there was such a long list it would've been nice to have it written down; even if it had been handwritten) of the day. I had the braised beef stuffed pasta served in a Gigi sauce which was very good but extremely rich and my DH had the grilled swordfish which was served with a puttanesca sauce and veggies. He has a healthy appetite and he was very pleased :)
We were greeted by very friendly staff... treated like VIP's. Continuous smiling faces from personnel filling water glasses, serving dishes and removing empty plates. Bread was generous and forthcoming. Never was a moment spent looking for a waiter to bring more wine or water. I felt very welcomed and appreciated the ongoing service. It was our 1st experience and took a chance on it by reading high reviews about it. Prices were very fair and no hassle with parking like when we dine downtown. I highly recommend this lovely very modern restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious, we began with the grilled octopus as appetizers.. it was not rubbery at all and very tasty. We then had the risotto lobster and giant shrimp ... dish.. yum !
A very nice restaurant. The food was very good and I would certainly go back. Various price ranges for everyone's budget . The service was friendly and attentive as well as organized.
First time visit but definitely not the last! Great service... you are treated like family. Everyone is attentive. Fresh food! I like it when you get to a place and certain meals were so good that they might be out of it. That means to me that they only get fresh food. Every place can have tons of stuff in stock but have to thaw it out. Totally worth it and try the fresh mozzarella entrée!
this was our 2nd visit , we had great experience food and service were great .
maybe to consider more variety in appetizers !!
Exceptional menu and cuisine. Very fresh, fantastic taste and dining experience. The Chef is the owner and it shows. Best restaurant experience my wife and I have had in years. The table service was the best I have experienced. Attentive and flexible, but not overly present. Great experience and I look forward to my next meal at La Verita.
