L’Abattoir’s Private Dining Room is a carefully orchestrated yet seemingly effortless affair. The private dining facilities are separate from the main restaurant dining room but the décor is an extension of our celebrated brick and beam style, with sleek, industrial glass and steel accents.View Private Dining Details

L'Abattoir never disappoints! It is the BEST modern French restaurant in Vancouver. Everything on the plate is done with love and finesse. Chefs and cooks all strive for perfection in every element of the dishes. LOVE IT:)
We had a terrific meal and the service was suburb. We had an issue with the choice of wine and the issue was handled as well as it could have been - full marks.
Beautiful experience from start to finish! Thank you for an incredible evening.
. Waiters attention was hard to catch.
. Food was served at a 45 mins interval....
. Waiter should have indicated that the extra oyster is $6... a piece... we thought instead of 5 standard size oysters, we would be 6 smaller ones.
. Kamkuat tuna was delicious.
. Oyster out of this world.
. Others.. duck and steak. Nothing special at all.
. Wonderful atmosphere.
. Ask building envelope to check air leakage around window frame.... too cold.
Food and services are great, but the table setting is way too crowded just like sitting in a cheap Raman restaurant, the noice level is like a bar, but the food and price are at a high end level, it’s a strange feeling.
First visit and will definitely go back! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
We had a lovely early valentines dinner. We had the duck breast for dinner and the dark chocolate ganache for dessert. Both were very good. The only thing I would say is that the portion size of the main dish was smaller than we were expecting but it was delicious so made up for it. Overall great experience!
tasting menu with wine pairing should be considered.
Food tasted very average. We had the steak Diane and duck breast as well as the truffle salad. Maybe we had dinner too early and weren't hungry yet.
So lovely. I do prefer the old Steak Diane though. Ha
The food was amazing, we loved the homemade bread, baked oyster and duck breast. The duck breast is definitely the best in town!
Incredible food! Our sever needed to be a little bit more friendly and attentive. He didn’t seem like he wanted to help us. But other than that incredible
Fantastic food, service and menu. Steak Diane was over the top
Brunch at L'Abbatoir never disappoints. The menu is pared back, yet exact and their in-house pastries are always a real treat.
Food was delicious, walked away pretty happy and would definitely go back!
Superbly presented food with great service. Wine list extensive but without reasonably priced choices.
Truly a spectacular place with delicious food and cocktails. The service is incredible. You won’t be disappointed!
Excellent meal and service, better than many more expensive meals elsewhere!
Normal L'Abattoir is always good but this visit was really strange. We were in the middle of the meal when they came to ask us to move to the next table and we were not even 1:30 hours into our meal. They said for that they will give us free drinks and when we decided to pack the food and pay they insisted on paying for the entire meal. We didn't opt for this offer but they took out our main dishes anyways from the bill. If they had planned better in the seating this would not have happened. We would have been happy to move over if the person who approached us just asked us and not say that they will give us free drinks. It was most awkward and totally unnecessary. I am surprise for a restaurant like this issues are handled so poorly.
Outstanding venison, attentive service and beautiful ambiance.
The service was no so good.
The food was brought to our table almost one hour after the appetizers and the Restaurant was empty
Food is good, but a little salty. I like dessert most.
Was a fun experience, delicious food. Tried this restaurant through Dine Out Vancouver and would definitely go back :)
Catched the last day of the dine out. Amazed by the quality of the food and level of service. The whole experience was just as good as the regular menu. All the items are well plated and presented. Didn't feel rushed at all. Unlike some other restaurants doing dine out simply just trying to push you out of the door. This is second time I'm in and will definitely come back again!
We came for dine out because I've always wanted to try L'Abbatoir. Everything was good but the main dish I ordered (stuffed quail with sausage) was super salty. It seemed like they were using some kind of soy sauce? =( otherwise I would've enjoyed my experience a lot more! Service was excellent. I'll have to come back again.
Amazing brunch. Highly recommend. Great location as well.
Delicious food and thoughtful service - thoroughly enjoyable experience!
Try for dine out menu and definitely will come back for regular menu very soon! Really enjoyed the food and only miss in main course, just little over power with salt in the veggie and sauce
Overall I give 4.5 🙏🏻
I expected more as we were recommended. The food were okay not memorable. Staff were friendly and the service were quick as there were a time limit for our meal. With the dine out rate it was okay otherwise it is expensive for what you get.
First time trying L'abattoir. It was amazing! We opted for a few add ons with the Dine out menu. It did not disappoint. The service was good and the food was beautiful and tasty. Will definitely have to come back after Dine Out.
Great as always.
Really wonderful food and service.
Went to L'Abattoir for my auntie's birthday and I can't say that I was very impressed. I made the mistake of not reading the fine print of our reservation, when we got there we found out that they were not offering their regular menu due to dine out. My aunt had been wanting to try L'Abattoir for quite awhile so we decided we would still try out the place. The one thing that was great is the service. Other than that, the drink service took quite awhile, over 10 minutes for my cocktail. I almost forgot I ordered it. The appetizers were ok but my one gripe is that they were bigger than the entrees! The entrees were also HEAVILY salted, it was almost unpalatable. We both had the Wild Turbot and my sibling had gotten the smoked quail. They were quite untasty. I would never imagine that something so salty could be served, there must be higher quality checks. Dessert was fine but forgettable. In conclusion, if their Dine Out Menu is any indication of their regular menu, I will definitely not be returning.
We really enjoyed our dine out menu. Will go back again for their regular menu.
I've always loved l'abbatoire and been there many times. It's the first time I tried their dine out menu. We had the veal sweetbread and beef tartare as appetizer, both good. Unfortunately, the pigeons in the main course were too salty, probably marinated for too long. We also added the foie gras, they were already cold when served. Desserts were great. Wine list was good. Ambience and service were great as always, even during the busy dine out period. Just a bit disappointed with the main course.

Amazing experience. Service was on point and the presentation of the food was outstanding. Well done!
This place never disappoints, exceptional food and service!
If you want food that's unique, definitely pay L'Abattoir a visit. This is my 2nd or 3rd visit at L'Abattoir, this time for Dine Out Vancouver. Our Appetizers and Dessert were both top notch. The Mains were a tad on the salty side.
The only thing is, I'm not sure if this is their usual practice of if this was a charge because it's Dine Out. But if you wanted bread service, it's $3/person. We also was charge $7 for a table of 3 for STILL water.
Other than that, I'd still recommend the restaurant.
It was dine out, so it was packed. The pace in which the food came out was perfect. The portion sizes were extremely small, which is expected from L'Abattoir. The cannelloni was equivalent in size to three of my boyfriends fingers. I ordered the Quail Sausage, what they were missing was proper punctuation...It was sausage stuffed in a quail, was a sight. Overall isn't worth the hype, my partner left hungry. We wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend either.
