Lovely service, amazing drinks, atmosphere, and dessert !
The service was nice. However the ambiance did have lack of excitement. The cocktails were medicare. I didn't like Great Bear scallops wrapped in pork sausage and cabbage but I really liked Baked Pacific oysters.
We ordered Sable fish and Stake. Both were nice. When I reserved a table online, I mentioned, it was my boyfriend's bday and I expect it to be special for him, but the staff, didn't do anything which it was very disappointing.
The food was incredible and the servers were knowledgeable and very friendly.
Everything was amazing food, cocktails, service, atmosphere and music. We will be back again and again. We shared oysters, sweet breads and the halibut all of which were unreal.
Great food. Good drinks. Incredibly pricey however.
We had a wonderful dinner here. They have all the covid procedures down pat and we felt completely safe. From the cocktails, to each course we ordered and the wine that was recommended everything was top notch. We couldn’t resist dessert of course. Gorgeous presentation and flavours.

I've been to the L'abbatoir many times over the years and I have to say I've never had a bad meal nor a less than amazing experience! My favorite restaurant in town.

The staff was very attentive to our needs and all wore masks at all times and were very diligent in keeping surfaces and items clean. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening!

Food was done well, but each dish we tried (4) was a bit heavy on the salt. Missing out on some serious ambiance due to Covid-19. Not the restaurant's fault, but I wouldn't recommend dining here for the price.
Deliciously creative food... pleasing to the eye and the taste buds! We enjoyed it all! The desserts were perfect!
lamb was not edible - we could not finish it. parts were still raw and rough. seemed like the vegetables were placed on top to hide how bad the lamb was. don't know how this restaurant made the top 100 in Canada.

This is the first restaurant we went to after Covid! It was a great experience, not stressful at all!
Had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and dessert. Every single dish was perfectly executed.
We came here for our first in-person restaurant experience since COVID-19. Melissa our waitress was insanely attentive and kind and had great recommendations based off of what information we gave her. She really listened to us and elevated our time. We came for our 5th anniversary and it was made so special by the staff. The food was delicious and each meal was an awesome adventure of unique flavours that paired together so well. The cocktails and drinks were also fun and very tasty. We always make any excuse to come to this special place.

Made a reservation numbers threatened with a $50 penalty per person if we did not show. WTH? Arrived promptly and were met by a man who was probably not often described as friendly. Service is reasonable food was excellent, Bread was beyond excellent, wines were expensive but overall we enjoyed ourselves without feeling overly pampered. Service seemed to be a little rushed. Would go again for sure.

So happy that one of our favourite restaurants is back open and in great form!
Apart from the amazing service by Nick and his team, the kitchen staff hasn't lost a step due to the coronavirus closure. We started with the spot prawn special that was delicate and ever so exquisite. The foie parfait was so beautifully plated that it was pity to eat it, almost.
As for the mains, the chicken stuffed with summer truffle was divine but also a hearty size and our slow-cooked halibut was cooked perfectly. Bravo!
My wife and I were looking forward to enjoying the wide array of fine food offered on the menu; unfortunately, due to 'you know what', they limited the menu to 3 or so items per course. That's slightly disappointing. I get it, but a bummer nonetheless. Overall, considering the price, we were let down. I found the food to be of the highest quality, but, for example, the Steak Diane could have been from any fine french restaurant. I will go back if treated to a dinner out but would like to have had a bit more of a culinary adventure.
We both had the lamb specials which were not bad overall. My veg was a little under cooked for my taste.
Food was to die for. The prawn appie was amazing, had the steak Diane for my main course and their pastry chef is a god!
