The upstairs area was quite loud and noisy. The food was amazing, and the service was 5 stars. A place to go eat but not have a conversation.
The food and service were amazing. The only problem was that they sat us in the back of the restaurant which doesn’t have the same ambiance. It’s a bit pricey so you expect the best at all level. We were disappointed with the ambiance. It probably would have been a different story if they would have sat us in the front with all the other customers.
Food was amazing as expected. Service was great, fun atmosphere and can't wait to go back!

Every time I go to L'Abattoir I'm always struck by how dialed everything is! Whether it's a date night or a small party this place is the perfect spot.

Huge thanks to the staff for one of the most wonderful meal experiences we've had. Our group enjoyed practically every dish on the menu, and we wouldn't have changed a thing (except maybe ordered more oysters, if our stomachs allowed!). The sommelier helped us pair each course, and the service from everyone who touched the table was spot on. Can't wait for our next trip back!

Dined with a friend inside at L’Abattoir this week. Meal was excellent, service was great and I felt very comfortable with the precautions they are taking to manage through Covid - masks for the servers, appropriate table spacing. Restaurant is lovely and the food was very, very good. Enjoyed the scallop appetizer, the tomato appetizer, the Sablefish main and the chocolate torte for dessert. Highly recommend especially for a special evening or date.
The meal was fantastic, and our server was great and provided a great wine suggestion. The bartender or drink specialist ego delivered our after dinner drinks gave us a ton of information on them and we really appreciated it.
Overall a great experience
We had a lovely experience at L'Abattoir! We were given complimentary flutes of bubbly as we were calebrating an anniversary, I thought that was a kind gesture, and elevated our overall expereince. The steak and Halibut were DELICIOUS! I will definetly return again.
Thought we were booked for Dine Out Outside special. Disappointed that wasn’t the case. They would have moved us outside, if they got an opening. We were already seated so chose to stay inside. But felt mislead AND couldn’t get the special menu so spent MUCH more than expected. The food was good but didn’t make me want to go back soon.
Excellent service. Food was delicious and complex. Portion of sable fish disappointing, and would have been better with something besides stuffed tomatoes to accompany it.
Everything was absolutely amazing! The baked oysters and sea scallops for starters were delicious. The poached halibut melted in your mouth. The lamb saddle was cooked to perfection. The Duck was cooked nicely, not dry at all...the only negative was the grilled radicchio was much too bitter. Radicchio in small amounts raw in a salad is much more preferred for my taste. We had 3 desserts plus the 4th which was their feature dessert. Our plates were left clean...that's how delicious they were. Service was attentive and impeccable by all the servers and hosts. Washrooms were very clean and sanitary. Oh and the warm variety of bread they bring you- full of goodness! Highly recommend this restaurant. We were originally wanting to go their sister restaurant Coquille just down the street but it is closed down - but we were so happy with L'Abattoir. And this review is coming from a family of 4 who are foodies!

I had the outstanding saddle of lamb, full of flavour, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. A glass of wine from their curated list nicely complemented my meal. I felt safe dining here even though-Covid! - and will return again soon, and as often as I can.
If you want your favourite restaurants to stay open through all this - go out for dinner (or get takeout). Support your local businesses!
A fantastic restaurant where we spent a romantic diner served by the nicest waiter
Some of the best service we’ve ever had, whoever was near us no matter if they were our server or not, was always checking in on us and clearing the table and seeing if we needed anything. INCREDIBLE food. We both had the steak Diane, unbelievable melt in your mouth steak. Not to mention the pork wrapped scallops we had as an appetizer and the perfectly made cocktails. Wish we lived closer so we could come here all the time! 10/10!
L'Abattoir - what they do, they do it very, very well. Wonderful cuisine in a sublime setting with impeccable service.
Lovely place, great service and delicious food! Could touch up on their cleaning as the window stills were covered in dust and bathroom could be a lot cleaner.
Our first visit ... The food was excellent. They had an off-menu foie gras starter that was to die for!!! Every heavenly morsel exploded with flavour in my mouth and melted down my throat in utter delight.
Great Seasonal menu. Thoroughly enjoyed the foie gras special. Staff were knowledgeable on the wine list. The daily cocktail was deliciously smokey.

The service was nice. However the ambiance did have lack of excitement. The cocktails were medicare. I didn't like Great Bear scallops wrapped in pork sausage and cabbage but I really liked Baked Pacific oysters.
We ordered Sable fish and Stake. Both were nice. When I reserved a table online, I mentioned, it was my boyfriend's bday and I expect it to be special for him, but the staff, didn't do anything which it was very disappointing.
The food was incredible and the servers were knowledgeable and very friendly.
Everything was amazing food, cocktails, service, atmosphere and music. We will be back again and again. We shared oysters, sweet breads and the halibut all of which were unreal.

We had a wonderful dinner here. They have all the covid procedures down pat and we felt completely safe. From the cocktails, to each course we ordered and the wine that was recommended everything was top notch. We couldn’t resist dessert of course. Gorgeous presentation and flavours.
