   Amazing staff and experience all around! Highly recommend ! My friend from Seattle told me about the chefs menu and the wine pairings so I set a reservation 1.5-2 months prior and glad I did. Wonderful birthday for my boyfriend :)

   We enjoyed the food and drinks. The service and attention made the evening even more memorable. From the menu, the Artichoke, Quail, and Sablefish (quite decadent) were are favs. The suggested wine paired well with the food. Cocktails at the bar are well balanced and go down easy. Also, it is a nut free restaurant.

   One of the best dining experiences of my life… and I’ve eaten at some of the world’s greatest. We had the tasting dinner with BC wine pairings: each dish sensational and delicious. Unlike other places serving this quality of cuisine (e.g. PerSe, Le Bernardin), the atmosphere is informal and relaxed— but the service just as attentive, and much more warm. This was a memorable meal; a must if you are visiting Vancouver, a city with many wonderful restaurants.

   We dined on the Chef’s menu which was outstanding, the best of the numerous tasting menus I have been fortunate to experience. The wait staff was attentive and engaging and the bar staff was exceptionally creative and knowledgeable.

   This may be the best resturaunt meal I have ever had! I'm too old to be sure, but it was delicious! The steelhead entre, and sablefish main with the carrot cake ice cream cake dessert are all fantastic!

    The chef menu is very tasty and refreshing. They are very kind to accommodate us and switched one of the dish from lamb to steaks. The portions size is very generous and we barely able to finish the whole course. Highly recommended.

    Tried the Chef’s course menu at $160. Various hors d’oeuvres, with halibut and lamb based meals in between. Very nice. Services were excellent.

    The Mother’s Day menu was spectacular: interesting and delicious. My adult children treated me to a wonderful dinner. The service was attentive and unobtrusive- altogether perfect.

    They have to keep the standards up. Today was a 6. The radish with the halibut are no good match and with the gnocchi the mushrooms were out of proportions. Deserts 7. For the price they ask they have to improve.

    Overall, a good experience. We found the staff to be inconsistent and overall not up to the caliber we expected. The manager was excellent and attentive, and he selected a wine for us that exactly matched our description. The entrees were mixed, one superb, one very bland and not well-presented. Some upper level supervision and tightening of the ambiance and service provided down the line could turn this into an excellent restaurant.

    The restaurant was charming and nicely decorated, but seating in the lower level was limited to one line of tables along a bench seat that ran the length of the room. We spent our entire meal listening to the neighboring table discuss politics and education. Blah. Online reviews said it was romantic, but we found that lacking. It was very brightly lit for a dinner meal. Staff and waiters were amazing and professional, the presentation of the food was elegant and visually appealing, but not worth the hefty price tag. The Steak Diane was tasty, but it was the most costly ala carte meal on the menu, so limiting the plate to one paltry potato wedge and 3 broccoli crowns seemed a bit stingy.

    My partner and I traveled to Vancouver and celebrated my birthday at L'abattoir. We had a wonderful dining experience there. The staff was so on top of it, from introducing the dishes to accommodating our request. I appreciate the attention to detail. The food is just exquisite and delightful, I'd so visit again if I was in town again.

    I don't know what I should have expected but it was raw. The animals were noisy, and a bit overpriced. The wine was ok although wasn't as good as supermarket own brand.

    Would not recommend. The food had no flavor. The music was too loud so you could not hear people at your own table. The server was pompous and had no idea what he was saying. Over hyped. Would never recommend to a friend.
