   The food was good, but not spectacular. I may have had unrealistic expectations but I was just not blown away by the food. It was fine - just not unique or noteworthy. The service was sub-par. Our server was inattentive at best and we ordered beverages before we ordered food, which we did not receive until 10 minutes or so after the food came. I probably wouldn't go back again.

   most overpriced, under whelming food. $30 for a mediocre omelette at best. All the food was so over priced. they even charge you for bread. Expected amazing food for the price. should have gone to my local diner. The ambience is nice. save yourself the money and hit their bakery instead. The bakery had a quiche that looked great. (we went in there AFTER eating in the restaurant.

   I live around the corner and used to eat the rotisserie chicken salad all the time. I was appalled the last two times I had it. The chicken was tasteless, it used to be unusually delicious. There were barely any greens and the candies walnuts were no longer candied and were very sparse. And they are charging more for this inedible garbage.

   Worst experience ever! Food ridiculously expensive and tasteless, but the worst was our waiter: cocky and conceited! I took my mom for what I thought was going to me a great Mother’s Day, and we left the place completely disappointed. I would never ever return to Lafayette!

   Host and servers are dialing it in. Fake friendly. Giving worst table and hoping we don’t complain. Then giving just a slightly better table. Servers no knowledge of food. Love this place have been coming since opened which must be in your reservations yet always have the same experience atmosphere and food great, service blah.

   HORRIBLE! We reserve a table, but when we arrived they told us we can’t have a coffee or a pastrie. We have to lunch.

   A great date night at the bar with incredible appetizers and shared lamb chops. Food was excellent, ambiance perfect, and not so crowded to drown out the conversation. Very relaxing and great customer service. Bar tenders responsive and engaging when required.

    When the weather changes and the warmth of the city surrounds you, there's nothing better than an outdoor table at Lafayette for lunch or dinner. The setting is calm and easy, the food delicious and the people watching extraordinary!

    Last lunch in nyc.. Our waiter seems to enjoy pretending he doesn’t quite get your Question, I repeated myself numerous times to accommodate his resistance, to being either nice or helpful! Sometimes I wonder , why these people love creating uncomfortable situations. Next time I would request someone else . The prawns , bread & butter were fantastic. The Niçoise …I’ve had better but overall I would go back as the room and bakery treats were a sight to be seen

    La experiencia fue amena, aunque hay que esperar muchísimo por sus famosos croissants pero vale la pena, te recomiendo ir a las 2:30 por brunch esperar comer tranquilo y a las 3:30 salir a hacer la fila para obtener los croassants de las 4:00

    The menu focuses on classics and they are done well. The booths are extremely comfortable, the atmosphere buzzy but not too loud to hear one's self think. All in all, an enjoyable experience.

    Came her for restaurant week because their selection was truly one of the better ones in the city that week, but we were very much treated differently by the staff because once we said we wanted to restaurant week selection. We spent a lot on a few of their specialty cocktails & bottles of wine - but guess it wasn’t enough for them.

    went for lunch and asked to waiter to give us time between courses, he was super accommodating and lovely. we were able to fully enjoy each course -and the bread...amazing!! don't pass it up! had a bite of my dining partner's burger and it was phenomenal!

    Lafayette is a great cafe offering a great assortment of baked goods. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, we had a server (Christopher G) who was especially rude to our table for no reason. I think he felt that he was better than us because he waitered at lafayette. He ruined an otherwise good experience with good food.
