   Went for Sunday brunch. Elegant dining room. We were 30 minutes earlier than reservation and they agreed to seat us immediately but not serve us until reservation time. Might help chef keep from getting overwhelmed but the dining room was mostly empty. The mushroom omelet (me) and the crab benedict (wife) were great. Service impeccable. Prices understandably high but food quality and setting made it well worth it.

   Had a lovely pre- Mother’s Day breakfast here with an old friend: delicious selections, excellent service and peaceful ambiance. We had a wonderful breakfast here! Very elegant table settings and decor! Highly recommended!

   What a hidden gem! This a was excellent, quite spot, right by the White House. We stopped in for lunch. The menu has fresh options, the kitchen was able to modify the recipes to cater to our food allergies. Lunch time the dress was casual nice, but for dinner I would recommend a more business attire. We will definitely be back!

    One of the nicer hotel restaurants and easily the most elegant. The service still has to catch up to hit the finger points you would expect in a restaurant of this caliber. Food, ambience were excellent.

    Amazing experience. I went here with my sister for her birthday and the restaurant itself was great but the staff and everyone working here were exceptional and made you feel very comfortable. The food was wonderful, specifically the açaí bowl and the filet mignon and egg. The ambiance was quiet, calm, and peaceful, however I went here for brunch so it was not too packed during that time. 11/10 experience, I’ll definitely be a regular here.

    One of the prettiest dining rooms in DC. Lovely place to have breakfast with exquisite service. The only thing lacking was that the pancakes were not as good as I remember them but everything else was really well done.

    SUCH a fun experience. High tea was so fun. We did this as a girls outing. The finger foods were outstanding, and the tea was perfect with a great selection. Service was a little slow, but we were there to enjoy the experience. If you are looking for some fancy and frilly fun in DC, def have high tea here!

    Lovely experience, as always. My husband and I make a point of having dinner at The Lafayette every time we visit D.C. The hospitality staff is always attentive, polite, and go above and beyond with their service. The food speaks for itself. Don’t be afraid to try the specials. Always order your soufflé at the beginning of your meal since they take about 25 minutes to bake. The ambiance is lovely - live piano, candlelight, sparkling chandeliers.     Great place for a breakfast meeting. Staff was courteous and attentive. Food was delicous and expertly crafted, no messy bites here. Coffee and tea service were excellent, overall setting was high end and appealing. Recommend the salmon eggs benedict. Price point for quality was similar across DC.     We made a reso thinking this was the buffet style sunday Brunch people rave about but once we sat and knew the menu was small and limited we asked for the check and left. All we had was orange juice but it was bad. Oranges must have been unripe when juiced so it was bitter. We went to The Four Seasons Brunch instead.
