It’s our third time there n we bring friends to celebrate special occasions in the evenings. We love it. The view is beautiful in the summer when daylight is longer.
The cooks are good since the food is fantastic.
a favorite en route stop. Lakehouse salad is superb. Only weak area is desserts.
Fast service. Was sat by a loud party and asked to move. Which was no problem. After the move we could talk no problem and hear each other. Food was great but we are plan people so we ordered all sauces on the side. They are very friendly and will accommodate you anyway they can.
Did not enjoy anything. My veal was over cooked and the spaghetti was way too garlicky. The waitress was not very friendly. Definitely not worth the money. I enjoy The Stonehouse much more.
Always an amazing time !
Had a reservation but waited a bit before being seated. Recent renovations are nice which brightened up the dining area. Food and service was amazing. Very good wine list but found it a bit pricey. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends.
The food was absolutely excellent however we found it to be over priced. We don't mind paying for quality but this is above what we would expect for what we received. Service was also excellent
I received a gift card from a colleague and decided to go on my birthday for lunch, with my family. It was a Saturday at 1:30. The restaurant was busy, but not overly crowded. The seating was terrible as I faced a wall with the bar tv poking out above it. The tables facing the bar should be turned into u-shaped tables facing the lake and the rest of the restaurant. The server was very good. The food, however, had me racing for the washroom afterward and I was ill for the entirety of the weekend and part of Monday (the house salad with warm mushrooms, etc.) My husband said his burger was good, but not great. He was not taken ill, so that was good.
We love this restaurant! We do the Wrapped Up in the Valley Wine Tour and always come to Lakehouse the night before. The food is fantastic and we absolutely love the ambience!
Overall we had a good experience. However we found some items overpriced. Specifically, paying more than $10 for 3 after dinner coffee's seemed a bit much and we found the wine prices to be high as well. That said, food was very good, portions were generous and service was good.
The Lake House restaurant is a beautiful scenic spot on Lake Ontario with excellent service. The cauliflour cheese soup was excellent and the menu offers food choices to suit a variety of diners healthy choices. I have been there many times now and always enjoy the experience.
Always worth the drive to the Lakehouse. Food was amazing and servers are friendly and discreet and allow patrons to relax and enjoy a night out
Hard to walk in heels in the parking lot and the patrons sitting behind us were loud but food and atmosphere was amazing
Waitress has chosen the wrong profession She was not attentive, very cold and non-interested in taking care of us. French fries did not seem fresh and moderately warm. Although the renovation is lovely, I miss the quaintness of the old décor. Menu appears to have smaller choices than previously and prices high for what you get. Our past experiences have been much better; this was not up to what we have experienced in the past and don't expect to return again.
We went there on a recommendation from someone who has been there. So our expectations were high. Unfortunately, the main course we found very salty (seafood dish for 2) and not as tasty that we had hoped for.
The service was fine and it appeared to be a nice setting. I'm sure there are beautiful sunsets to view at different times of year.
As far as recommending this to other people; I would just say we weren't totally satisfied for out "entertainment bucks" and I would tell people that and let them make up their own decision as to go or not. I wouldn't try to discourage anyone from going; just give them our opinion.
We went for the brunch ... was ok ... but not worth the value...
Was very desapointing.... sorry, was looking forward to enjoy the food...
Excellent food and service! Had friends in from Kingston and Toronto and they too were impressed!
One of our favourite restaurants! We were just seated in the middle of the room which makes the ambience a little less appealing. Otherwise excellent as always!
This was the first time that I have been here that it was not a 5 🌟 experience. The wine list is awesome, the service was awesome and the menu is excellent.
Execution was the problem this time. Twice we had to send the potatoes and vegetables back because they came out cold. However, the staff and management handled it very professionally.
Even an established restaurant with a track record of excellence needs a lukewarm review once in awhile to stay on their game.
friendly welcome, but then brought to a table that vibrated (over the furnace??) , then my plate was unbalanced so it 'wobbled' when i cut into the food. soup had far too much black pepper in it. cold breeze periodically across our table. waiter forgot drink for our son, then forgot the sauces, waited too long between courses. dessert (cheesecake) was very tasty but was served in a shot glass! my veal was average. my husband really enjoyed the lamb shank. our friend thought the salmon was excellent. wouldn't recommend it but wouldn't deter anyone who wanted to try it out. perhaps just need to try again, but will likely not do so.
Love this spot, but it is far too noisy for conversation.
waitress forgot our bread. we had to ask for it after appetizers arrived. very noisy. my mac and cheese increased in price and the lobster tail included was about 2 bites and tasted awful.
I was disappointed this time for sure.
We came to celebrate both an anniversary and a birthday and we were very pleased with the service we received. The food was brought to us in a very timely fashion and was delectable. My husband and I ordered the Seafood Paella For Two - it was outstanding! Our friends ordered meals that included an appetizer, an entree and dessert. They said the Brie appetizer was really good and their meals were also delicious.
Great as usual. Food and service has never disappointed! We had a good chuckle at the birthday confetti they gave us. Thank you Katrina for the birthday cheesecake!
The food was good, the service was good, and the price was to be expected. The only issue for me was the noise level and how close the tables are to each other.
Reservations are needed for dinner but for good reason. The food is excellent. It was on the noisy side, however there was a birthday with a large number of people.
Everything about the dining experience was excellent. I can't wait to return in the future. Try the moroccan lamb shank it was amazing.
A lot of young children, it was loud and uncomfortable.
Appreciated the attention that we had noted we were on an anniversary. Nice lake view. General manager said hello, etc...love it!!
Everything was great. The only complaint I have is that some of the tables are too close together so it can be difficult to have a private conversion or not be distracted by the table beside you.
Very much enjoyed our lunch. We had driven past the Lake House many times on our way to NOTL. So glad we decided to try it on this trip. Will definitely stop for lunch or dinner on future trips
Great atmosphere with excellent service and food
Restaurant was full so noise level a Lyle high.
All Staff focussed on the Client experience from front door greeting to good by Thank You
Our server was amazing. The food was not. Overpriced.
Food and atmosphere was amazing!!
Parents milestone birthday was very loud and service not great. We came from Toronto for a special occasion but I would not go again on a Saturday eve
Great table - lake view - good service - food pedestrian, e.g. lumps in whipped potatoes, open room means noisy and that evening very hot.,
the service was exceptional. We had friends from out of town and they enjoyed the restaurant very much. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Especially in recommending vineyards.
Excellent Food. Beautiful ambiance. Would love to come here in the summer to enjoy the patio.
First time there and loved it food was excellent really good portions. Service fast and friendly. Wonderful view of the lake. Easy access to HWY. I will be going back
We Had a Excellent Time the Food was Excellent The Staff were Excellent From the time we enter to the Time we Left So I say Thank You..We will be coming back
