    No value for the outrageous pricing here. I'm happy to pay good money for an excellent meal with excellent service, but this was not that. Service was slow and food was just ok.

    Good food, decent service, (waiters were really nice, just a bit slow the night we went) but value for money isn't great. Two salads, two hunter chickens and two drinks with 20% tip = $186! That's crazy! You definitely get taken advantage of because of the location. Know before you go!

    The food we were served was substandard. My partner ordered beef short ribs and they were tough, dry, and tasteless. For the first time in his life he had to send the dish back because he could not eat it. The server was very good and tried to be as accommodating as possible, providing him with a second dish which he could eat. But because his original meal was so bad, the dinner experience was not good. The roasted asparagus, which was a substitute for roasted Brussels sprouts, had tough ends and were, as a result marginal. The substitute meal was ordinary. Given the high ratings for this restaurant and the lovely setting, we expected better.

    Food was good, but took over an hour to get from the time we ordered. The waiter was trying, but the service was not great (had to remind/ask multiple times for some things). This was not our first visit to this restaurant, so we knew you need to be patient to get your food. The atmosphere on the patio is nice, but overall, this restaurant is just ok for the price.

    We went as a group of 4 for my husband’s birthday. It was lovely! The service was great!! Good crab cakes and calamari. Then we decided on the tomahawk dinner for the table and everything was delicious (the meat a little overcooked but we didn’t say anything because we were still enjoying it). Thanks for the perfect evening

    Really disappointed in the food. As a place that features steaks, my New York strip was $52. It was by no means a premium steak (which I would expect at that price point), but rather an overly salted, thin cut with gristle. The fries accompanied with the steak were extremely salty too. That all said, my wife enjoyed her seafood linguine and the service was good. Maybe give the steak a pass.

    We were able to get seated on the patio which had a great view of the lake/beach. Our server was very knowledgeable when it came it to the menu, to boot he had a great personality. Food was delicious specifically the steak tacos. The wine was quite flavorful, Price was fair for what we got overall great experience would definitely go there again.

    We made our reservation at the Fireside Lounge but it turns out it's the same restaurant as the Chophouse except the seating is indoors near the bar. It was a very warm day and the flies in the bar were a nuisance. We would have much preferred outdoor seating near the lake. The short rib was very tender and tasty, but a small portion for the price. The lobster linguine was a little bland, and the shells from the shrimp and lobster should be removed when served in pasta. Our server Nick was very friendly and helpful but he was also busy bartending so we had to wait for the check. Reserve an outdoor patio table at the Chophouse for a better dining experience.

    Nice ambience but food not great. My Mother had limited choice of gluten free and had to wait for her salad and chicken way after we were served. When it arrived there was no dressing on it, so very disappointing. Also the first time it was served it came out with prawns not chicken. The fries served with the fish and chips were very poor. Also the batter on the fish was so puffed up and small piece of fish inside So overall for the price we were very disappointed.

    Like everything in Waterton, AB during the summer months, over priced and under serviced with quality service labour force. The Bayshore Inn and the Chophouse restaurant are at the the heart of this situation. Its a struggle to enjoy the vacation when you pay through the hose for accommodations, food, and tourist activities. Recommendation to future travelers, bring your own cooler, chairs, water sports and consider day trip only and the $21.00 park fee will be the only financial burden you will need to endure.

    Have been to Lakeside Chophouse many times before and always enjoyed it. Unfortunately this time the food was way too salty and/or just not that good. I’ll chock this to a one off and try again next time I’m in town and hope for better.

    Atmosphere was amazing, patio, view and location was great. Server was nice, knowledgeable about menu but never really seen her. Asked for salt and pepper when our appetizers arrived from another server who delivered us our dishes said she would bring to the table and never did. Our server eventually brought it when we waved her down. All food items way over priced. We were a party of 3 - foodies - ordered 2 appetizers, jug sangria and 3 main dishes. Lobster and shrimp pasta $39 small serving and sauce to watery and did not stick to pasta what so ever. All you could test is watered down warm cherry tomatoes. Other dishes not overly tasty as well. This is our 2nd time at this restaurant. Probably won’t return any time soon as too expensive for dishes/ menus items served.

    Food was unfortunately way to salty. Ones steak was not to cooked to medium. Way way to much mustard on my sandwich I'm not one to usually complain about food at a restaurant but when you are paying this much for a meal it should be perfect. The location was perfectly located at our hotel which was a plus though and served breakfast as well.

    I've been to the Lakeside Chophouse before, and had a lovely time. This time, it was okay. The staff was friendly, but didn't check in often enough. The real disappointment was the food. I had the Hunter Chicken, and it was very salty. The demi-glace had too much salt, and overpowered everything. My partner had the Kung Pao bowl, and it was bland. Not salty enough, and not spicy. It was all edible, but not something I'd pay for again.

    We have been to lakeside chophouse several times and this was not our best experience. It wasn’t super busy but somehow the waiter didn’t take our order until 20 mins after we arrived. There were several workers walking around, talking but not actively attending to guests.I had asked for ice for my water and he didn’t return with it until I had to ask for it another 2x. I ordered my favourite meal the braised short rib which is usually delicious…while the veggies were good I got a chunk of meat that was mostly fast/membrane. I hardly could pick off any meat on it, definitely didn’t get the value for my $45+ dollar meal. I’ll still try it again since we’ve had previous good experience but it definitely was a subpar experience when we went yesterday.

    I had the sirloin. Medium rare. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The seasonal vegetables were slightly undercooked to my taste. Certainly subjective. My wife had fish and chips. The portion was huge and the taste sublime. The fries were very good too.
