Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles.     I have lived about 1.5 hours away from seattle for 30 years. I have never tried this restaurant before but have always wanted to try it and now I have. I thought it was located elsewhere in post alley But we found it very easily. This is a wonderful restaurant. It is very pretty inside as you walk through. We went for lunch. We each had a drink, one with alcohol, one without. The Dicky and Hello Madame President (I can only hope). They were very good. My husband had the papparedelle bolognese which he enjoyed. I had a tiny taste, I have had better elsewhere but these n.w. seafood was just plain delicious. That halibut was beautiful. I wished I had more, even though the serving was not small. The sauce was great and the peppers were not spicy as I thought they would be. I would order that again any day. I really didn’t know what to have, several good looking things on the menu. Glad I had this.

    We had a fantastic meal at Salty’s last night. Every dish was superb. The ambience was great and that view of the city you can’t beat anywhere! Definitely a destination place for anyone visiting Seattle.
