"Everything we ordered - from the miso soup and seafood tempura to start, to the black cod and lobster tail entrees, to the milk chocolate-banana spring rolls and banana caramel sundae desserts - was delectable and attractively prepared. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, and service was brisk and efficient. Because I noted in the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, there was a lit candle on one of our desserts, which was a pleasant surprise. For our first time eating at Koi, I would have liked a nicer table (we were seated opposite the sushi prep station), and the acoustics made it hard to carry on a conversation. Aside from that, I recommend it; but expect high prices when you go."See more
"The food was very good but the prices were high for what you get. I ordered an $19 salad and then added chicken as an additional charge. The salad was tiny as was the amount of chicken. It was a very light meal for $26. I would not go there again unless it was a business meal. The location in midtown has no appeal and at those prices it doesn’t feel like a good value.
The service was very good. The person I was eating with had to send hers back for a replacement and they were very nice and courteous about it."See more
"Good food, fun atmosphere, casual but not divey, very quick service. Perfect for weekday lunch get-together when you want something a little more upscale than a traditional pub, bar food, or takeout, but not a white tablecloth/giant wine glasses midtown corporate power lunch. Great quality and great value."See more
