Our server forgot to bring my husband a beer during our DELICIOUS appetizer. He picked up dishes from other tables who were seated after we were done eating so we put them on the other side of the table but he never came to our table! We flagged down another server to ask our server to bring the check. He never asked us til that time is we wanted a dessert menu—no, we actually had to ASK for it, then decided to get something back at our hotel in Victoria. Our food was FABULOUS, the setting was GORGEOUS (we were on the outside deck) but the service was not up to par, unfortunately!

We were having so much fun in the sunken garden we were late; staff was so gracious; Pascal is a fabulous server and knows all about the delicacies served; we so enjoyed the cabernet with the high tea; the lemon grass tea was phenomenal; AND; we were delightfully surprised at how QUIET the glassed in room was so we could visit.

No wonder this is my friends and family’s GoTo restaurant. Everything you expect and more. The service is exemplary, food came fast and hot. Drinks delish and quick. We will keep coming back year around. Well done Glo.

We had reservations for dinner and were immediately taken to our table by windows with a great view of activity in Victoria Harbour. Our server introduced herself, made us feel at home and took our drink orders and brought us our dinner menus. Our selections from the menu did not disappoint, all were well cooked and seasoned appropriately. We all felt the food to be delicious and again were impressed by how agreable and helpful our server was. We left the restaurant well fed and very pleased with the service by all the staff.

Excellent meal at Alpina. We both have 2 different versions of the schnitzel and they were both excellent. Spaetzle and mushroom sauce was super authentic having eaten in Germany before. Pappardelle was cooked perfectly and the hand cut beef tartare was melt in your mouth. We also had an amazing view from our table. Would definitely dine here again.
