New Orleans is renowned for its French cuisine, and you won’t have to leave the confines of The Eliza Jane to enjoy delicious fare within a French bistro. Couvant specializes in classic French cooking serving entrees that pay homage to French history and regional specialties. My wife and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary here and it did not disappoint. Kirsten or (Kiki) was our server and she asked if we would be open to her selecting our courses and take us on a bit of a Nobu adventure! I don’t usually eat raw fish meals but I knew this would be top quality fish, and boy was it. The hot dishes were just as flavorful. Service and the food was wonderful. Pricey of course but we knew that going into it. The food is worth it! Not somewhere most would go regularly but I do recommend spending at least one special occasion here.

We had a great night at Meril with family from out of town. The atmosphere was lively but not too loud. Our server Craig and his assistant Marcus took care of us from start to finish, ensuring that our order was delivered appropriately and that all was to our satisfaction. The food was delicious. Some highlights that stood out were the cordon bleu flatbread, cauliflower, tuna bundles, and fettuccine Nero. For dessert, the skillet cookie was amazing and that famous banana cream pie never disappoints - absolutely delicious! We look forward to our next visit already!
