Located just a stone's throw from the Hôtel de Ville and the Marais district, Le Coupe Gorge restaurant, with its antique parquet flooring, dressed stonework and red velvet banquettes, exudes the flavour of old Paris and the pleasures of fine dining. The restaurant was founded in 1895 on rue de la Coutellerie, a street that owes its name to the many active cutlers. Its current name is more recent, no doubt due to the offbeat humour of one of its previous owners! Far from being a trap, Le Coupe Gorge offers a warm atmosphere, typical of old Parisian establishments, and a friendly welcome.

My fiancé and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Le George in Paris, and it was an experience to remember. We opted for a three-course lunch, which turned out to be a culinary delight from start to finish. The dining room at Le George is nothing short of perfect. The elegant decor, with its refined and sophisticated ambiance, immediately sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The staff were amazing, attentive without being intrusive, and their warm hospitality made us feel truly welcomed. Our lunch began with a selection of exquisite appetizers. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the chef’s creativity and skill. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. For the main course, we were treated to a selection of dishes that were not only visually stunning but also a delight to the palate. The ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality, and each bite was a symphony of flavors. The dessert course was a highlight of our meal. We decided to indulge in an additional dessert, and we were not disappointed. The desserts were both innovative and delicious, providing the perfect sweet ending to our meal. To accompany our desserts, we enjoyed some of the best coffee we’ve ever had. The rich, aromatic brew was the perfect complement to the sweet treats, rounding off our lunch on a high note. Our lunch at Le George was an unforgettable experience. The exceptional service, stunning dining room, and outstanding cuisine combined to create a truly memorable meal. If you’re looking for a remarkable dining experience in Paris, Le George is an excellent choice. We can’t wait to return and savor more of their culinary delights.
