"Excellent location and nice menu; food was good but the only thing is that it doesn't really come with anything... I know they sell salads but at least a house salad and/or maybe a little bread basket with the dish would be nice. The wine list was very good, my server was very kind and friendly and the food was very tasty."See more

"Fun place to go eat. Lots of action at this place. The food was good we had steaks and burgers. The fries are very good. Best if you are a big group, if you go you will understand because this restaurant appeals to a 20 to 30 year old crowd. Servers however need to better trained. Ordered a few drinks and they never showed. Atleast we weren't charged for them."See more

"You go there for the ambiance and to have a good time dancing and singing along. The food is far from being great. No-one aye the soup...the taste was blend and not fresh at all. Salad was less than average. Main course was also less than average. Dessert was good. Service was good and singer too."See more

"My husband and I ate lunch here while in Montreal. We went during the week so it was not overly crowded, but most tables were occupied, so I recommmend reservations. The view is what makes the restaurant. Food was delicious (small menu but we both found something we liked) service was friendly, and we will return when in Montreal."See more

"The Restaurant is a must if you like game dishes. We had the four course menu they propose. The boar stew as an appetizer was excellent and not what you typically get in a north american restaurant. Also the other dishes - lobster bisque, duo of game and crème brulée provide variety and where well prepared."See more

"We had a wonderful time at Vieux-Port Steakhouse. We had reservations for 7pm on Monday, October 8th and arrived about an hour early in order to have a drink at the bar beforehand. The bartenders were so friendly and charming we decided to have dinner right at the bar. Our meals were delicious, the wine that was recommended by one of our bartenders (Can't remember his name) was sublime, the atmosphere was cozy and the conversation was a delight. Overall, a wonderful evening!"See more

"Seems to be a favorite of locals for birthdays and other celebrations. Prompt and friendly service, great cocktail list, and very good food. This is the place for beef. Our group had filet mignon and prime rib which were excellent. Great quality beef cooked perfectly. There are seafood and vegetarian items on the menu. Highly recommend."See more

"Returned to Modavie after a couple of years to an expanded enterprise with a new horseshoe bar and additional seating in adjacent rooms; but with the same bistro style menu and extensive wine list and friendly attentive service. One of the main dishes Butternut squash cavatelli with lamb. Delicious!! Authentic creme brûlée capped off the evening!"See more

"Classic French home-style bistro. Sat at the bar and ordered garden salad (only mediocre), but had the kidneys with mushrooms as a main which was memorable. Visually it was not greatly appealing, it was a plate with braised veal (I believe) kidneys and sliced sautéed mushrooms in a mustard sauce. I recall wondering whether I would actually be able to eat the whole plate because it seemed a bit mundane to look at. But, texturally it was light and smooth, the sauce was subtle and all worked together so nicely that I lapped it up. The house red worked well to accompany. The staff was very attentive, lots of families dining out that evening and, with torrential rain outside, I felt cozy and right at home."See more
