"Great restaurant to view Niagara Falls! Scheduling restaurant for 8 people was easy utilizing Open Table. However, the hostesses had NO IDEA that Terrapin Charge is available on Open Table. I kept referring to reservation and they said they didn't take reservations for breakfast. I showed them the email of my Open Table reservation, and they agreed "Hey! That is our restaurant, but we don't take breakfast reservations." They were able to accommodate our party of 8 which required Accessible seating since the restaurant wasn't busy. Justin our server was fantastic, and food was good too. Another slight issue we had was when we asked where Terrapin Cafe was located. I asked 2 people in the Marriott Lobby and they had no idea. They said it's not called Terrapin Cafe, it's called Morton's Grill. When we took elevator up to Morton's Grill, there was a poster of Terrapin Cafe featuring breakfast. Also my receipt said Terrapin Cafe. Those latter issues are more with the Marriott Hotel, not Open Table though. But their staff should probably know what and where Terrapin Cafe is and realize that people can book breakfast through Open Table."See more
"Our server Christine was excellent and made the experience fun. she was very pleasant and answered all our dining questions. The restaurant was very quiet but requires new music as it made us sleepy."See more

"This wasn't our first visit to Ponte Vecchio, so we weren't surprised by the outstanding service and very high-quality food. The excellent service started at the check-in podium, where the host was very friendly and welcoming. We were seated quickly in a more private section of the restaurant, which has a row of "tables for two." Our server was friendly and professional, as was the Sommelier, who brought our wine. Nearly everything about Ponte Vecchio presented as upscale... this isn't your neighborhood Italian Restaurant.
We split the Caprese salad and it was excellent (a good size for two people). Our entrees tasted great and were prepared perfectly.
I don't usually focus on the prices at the restaurant. Instead, I focus on the "value;" whether the prices are justified by the quality, portion size, service and ambience. In the case of Ponte Vecchio, I think, considering all of those factors, the prices are too high. For instance, I had the special "Rigatoni Bolognese". It tasted good; probably not the best I've ever had. It presented well. But the portion size was pretty small and the $30+ CAN (~$23 U.S.) just didn't justify. Just my opinion. My wife's "Fettucini Fruitti De Mar" (pasta/seafood) dish for $39 CAN also seemed to be priced high.
So, if you want a high-quality restaurant with excellent service and ambience, this is the place for you. Just know, going in, that the "value" may be suspect."See more
