Il Terrazzo Carmine, owned and operated by Carmine Smeraldo, is one of Seattle's true dining anomalies - a highly successful restaurant with unfailingly high standards and a loyal, sophisticated clientele. The cuisine has been acclaimed as Seattle's best by the media and more importantly, by local diners. Il Terrazzo Carmine is located in historic Pioneer Square - nestled in an urban-renewed alley with entrances through the vintage lobby on First Avenue or through the delightful courtyard in the back. Since 1984, Carmine Smeraldo's classic Italian restaurant has been where the locals have chosen to return over and over again. From the Carpaccio Di Bue and Spaghettini Dell 'Ortolano for lunch to the Suprema Di Pollo Farcita and Zuppa Di Pesce for dinner you will know you have gone to a place where excellence is a way of life. My husband and I had an amazing time last night celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary! Was so thankful I was able to snag a reservation, and they went above and beyond to seat us at a beautiful window table with a view 🥹 Food was amazing and our server Eric was so nice. Not to mention the great jazz trio we got to listen to throughout dinner! Definitely would recommend for a splurge occasion dinner!

I booked for a friend's birthday. We had a seat right at the big windows and they had put Happy Birthday confetti on the table along with a cute card signed by staff. She really appreciated that! Server was Chad, and he was excellent. Attentive but gave us space and we never felt rushed. Food was good with good presentation. Presented friend with a nice sized serving of White Mousse Cake, which was also nice-and delicious. It was the perfect place to take someone for a special event.

The food was incredible. We had a reservation for 7:45pm (group of 6) and we got sat about 20 minutes late, but they brought us a jalapeño hamachi sashimi on the house which was delicious and any ill feelings were resolved (there were no ill feelings before that either though - it gets busy sometimes and we understood haha) Every roll was different and flavorful. It was difficult to pick what we wanted because there were so many tasty looking options. Will be back to keep trying more!
