Benvenuti Nella Mia Cucina, Belli De Nonna! Before we dive into the delicious feast prepared for you, let me give you a little taste of my vita. I was born in the heart of Rome, and I've been cooking up a storm my entire life! My cucina has always been the center of the universe for my 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, their friends, loved ones, and acquaintances – everyone was always Benvenuto! Now, we've brought that same love and flavor right here to San Diego. My beloved grandson, Niccolo', and his amore, Cesarina, are opening the doors of my Cucina with the same warm heart and passion.Wondering how I made it to 95? Well, it's simple: I ate everything that's served here and filled my life with amore! So, Benvenuti! Don't hesitate to indulge in "Scarpetta" - dip that bread into the sauce, just like my grandchildren used to do at the stove when they thought I wasn't looking. Here, Belli De Nonna, it’s all about food, family, and creating beautiful memories!

The Brigantine is more than just home to some of San Diego’s finest seafood. It’s a place where locals and visitors alike come to share a lively atmosphere and authentic sense of community. The Morton family opened the first Brigantine on Shelter Island in 1969, with a vision that embraced the beach town lifestyle, a dedication to flavorful food, and a passion for friendly service. Today, we’re known far and wide for our San Diego-style surf and turf. From our award-winning fish tacos and freshly shucked oysters, to classic filet mignon or our perpetually best-selling marinated grilled swordfish. Always prepared to exceed expectations, and served with a smile. You can stop in at any neighborhood Brigantine and get a taste of the local flavor, from regionally inspired specials, to custom cocktails and home town craft beers. At the Brigantine we make first timers feel like regulars, and consider regulars part of the family. So come by often, and share our taste for life.

We had such a great dinner here. We were sitting on the indoor patio side with the open roof. It was a perfect night for it. The restaurant wasn't loud and the service by Troy and food were simply divine. We ordered the goat cheese and mushroom starter. It was a generous portion and absolutely delicious. For dinner we had the Branzino and the Gnocci with sides of carrots and zucchini. Every dish was fantastic. The zucchini was a seasonal dish and I HIGHLY recommend it. I didn't know zucchini could be this good. Lastly we ordered the strawberry souffle for dessert. Again, absolutely wonderful flavors. This is def in my top 2 favorite restaurants in San Diego. Can't wait to go back.

10/10 Would recommend spending a special occasion or a nice date night experiencing this water-front restaurant. We really appreciated the service that Hector and Brooks provided during our time at Coasterra. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming, especially when we arrived on site. The owner, Hector, was very personable and made our time extra special as we celebrated our friends birthday by setting us up with a free drink for the birthday girl and personally introduced us to the bartender to take special care of us. The margaritas were exceptional, but personally I recommend the Lavender Honey Bee if you enjoy a good Gin based drink. Excited to come back in the future.

Warm and professional service coupled with delicious Italian food in a charming setting. Both of the pasta dishes we chose were excellent (tonarelli with shrimp and fettucini with braised short ribs, I think it was)! Don't be confused by the menu on the website (was it just me?)... just go.

We flew in to SD international and before we headed home we went for an early dinner. 5:15 it’s not our first time, but just as good as before. Patio was beautiful light wind and short sleeves were perfect. The French onion soup was perfect and the sesame crusted brie was yummy (and on the early bird menu) seafood pasta was delicious and they did not skimp on the seafood.

We took a midday break from visiting the zoo to visit this lovely establishment, winner of a Michelin Bib Gourmand for its excellent food at affordable prices. A mix and match approach forms the basis for the menu, allowing diners to select their pasta shape, sauce, and toppings, which was really fun. The homemade pastas and fresh sauces were incredible, as was the focaccia bread served to the table. For those diners with children, the kids menu was the cutest one we’ve ever seen and the food on the kid’s menu was amazing. This would definitely be a regular spot for us if we lived in San Diego!
