Canoe celebrates the Canadian food experience with locally and Canadian-sourced choices expressed in a True North manner. Our Taste Canoe featured smoked oyster and venison, fois gras-cured lamb, butternut-sweet potato-anise soup (surprise!), sturgeon and shrimp tortellini, lobster, veal, Granny Smith apple-verjus (delightful palette freshener), carrot cake-ice cream-maple syrup-black garlic, petit fours. The pairings were spot on, and discussions with our somm (I didn't get the spelling of his name, but it's pronounced U Gee) indicate an adventurous take on the meal. Our server extraordinaire, David, delivered a superb performance (ask him about his love of hockey). The staff are passionate about what they do and it shows in their presentation of the courses. Our table's clear view of the lake and downtown made our anniversary extra special. With views like these, it's like dining in an art gallery. We'll return again next year!

We had a wonderful dinning experience yesterday afternoon at Joey King St. The food, service, ambiance, decor were all excellent. The Happy Hour "Food and Drink" selections between 2-5(?)pm were very good value for the price...try the Classic Marguerita. The hostess on arrival, our server and restaurant manager were extremely pleasant and helpful. We truly enjoyed ourselves. Well worth the trip in from Niagara.

Outstanding experience all the way around…our waiter, Tom, was absolutely fantastic…knowledgeable and very helpful. If you’re looking for a culinary experience of the highest calibre, look no further!!!

Fantastic spot to hold a business meeting. Large spacious seating, high quality ingredients and great hospitality that isn't over bearing. The chefs come out to make their rounds to ensure guests are happy, and give the impression you are always welcomed.

Great spot for a work lunch! Sheldon our server was great read the room well and knew how to serve us while we had a group business meeting. Pizzas are amazing although heavy if you’re going back to work after. Can never go wrong with the salads and sushi.
