"Almanac is located in the heart of Old Strathcona, close to nice shopping and the Princess theatre. This was my second visit to this restaurant. The first time I thought my meal was spectacular. This time I ordered a burger and fries. I likely will try something different on the menu next time, as the burger was only fine, but the fries were delicious! The cocktail menu is extensive so is a great place to go if that is your thing. The waiter offered great service, was unpretentious and very knowledgeable about the menu. We had a nice experience overall, and I would recommend this restaurant."See more
"Outstanding French / Europe inspired cuisine. This is what Edmonton needs, a artistic and creative vision on the culinary front. The chef prepared for my wife and I, a wonderful appetizer of duck confit, and a salad that was quite different from what I've experienced before in Alberta. Remarkable and memorable , sure to please friends and family's, and working lunches.
The price was very reasonable!! I be back to Old Strathcona in a heartbeat for this, time and again."See more
"Food was absolutely amazing! I brought leftovers home and my family finished them in less than an hour! I loved the restaurant’s ambience - it was fancy was not overwhelmingly. I would definitely recommend Y Not Indian. I went for my friend’s birthday, but I can definitely see this place as the perfect spot for dates, larger get-togethers, etc."See more
"We went for a birthday and had a nice time. Considering it was Taco Tuesday, we had excellent service. The margaritas and sangria were great. The homemade tortillas are also excellent. The rest of the food was good, but not mind blowing."See more
