Specializing in aburi, or flamed-seared, sushi, the act of applying flame directly and lightly searing sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the seafood. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by crafting specialty sauces using non-traditional Japanese ingredients to pair with each type of fish.Located at the corner of Howe Street and Canada Place WayMichelin RecommendedWinner of Georgia Straight's Golden Plate for Best Japanese Restaurant in VancouverTimeOut's 20 best restaurants in Vancouver to eat in 2022OpenTable's 22 Restaurants That Define Vancouver Dining 2022Executive Chef: Kazuhiro Hayashi

LOCALLY MINDED. RESPONSIBLY RAISED. MICHELIN RECOMMENDED.Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the base of the historic Homer Building and the Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district. Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus. A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

Food was great! Service did take longer, seated at 6pm and wasnt offered to order our food until 650pm. Saw a table come after me and they were served immediately. They had appetizers and drinks before our table had a chance to order lol

My boyfriend and I tried the 7 course meal and everything was excellent! Our server and other staff were very friendly. They wrote a happy birthday message on my boyfriend's dessert plate. What a sweet gesture, thank you so much Miku! 🥰

We have come here several times and each time, we are welcomed and served with warm, knowledgeable and friendly service and the food is always spectacular. Every item we've had on the menu has always been excellent: the pho, chargrilled chicken, pork, soft-shell crab... We honestly don't think you can go wrong with any menu selection.

Great location and service. Wish I had known in advance that only the happy hour menu is available from 2:30 to 5:30. I made a reservation that I thought was for an early dinner before a graduation - only to find out we were confined to the happy hour menu of bar food - it was good but not what we had in mind. Chicken wings and fries for 4 people and 3 alcoholic drinks , one fizzy water and one coke set us back $185 We would not have gone there at that time had we understood the menu was so limited. The food was OK for what it was but we wanted a nice dinner. Need to clarify online - that is where we made our reservation after perusing the menu that was on there for lunch and dinner. Not mention of what was available 2:30 to 5:30 every day.
