Male hostess/manager was extremely rude to our group

Forgot to bring out a birthday dessert for our daughter’s bday after confirming 2 times the reason for our dinner. However, food was fantastic.

The food was AMAZING and our waiter was outstanding. Everything he recommend was delicious and he was funny and courteous. The little booths are adorable (and heated!) and the food was so delicious we had to roll home!!

I have been to Le Diplomate countless times and been blown away each time however they we’re off the game this visit. Food was Luke warm at best and prior go to dishes like the Macaroni were quite frankly sub standard.

Consistently fabulous food and service. So happy the restaurant survived the pandemic and appears to be busy again! Our first time with indoor dining since getting vaccinated - and they have it all together - spaced, staff consistently masked, social distancing, etc. Definitely feel comfortable dining here again!

Been to LeDip several times but first time post Panney and the food quality, service and overall vibe is just gone. Sorry to all the Stans but I think this ship has sailed. Brunch menu was extremely limited and Oysters were bad, couldn't finish even 6, mussels were reheated from frozen, and service was just different not in a good way. Front staff just snippy and a little rude, and wait staff not helpful with menu for gf options and knowing if any other food options avail from dinner menu bec of restrictions smh. Escargot was good. It was rough overall and over $230 for two adults two kids. I'll wait until they get full menu bk perhaps but perhaps not. Family seemed to be ok with some items but they weren't paying either. Disappointed.

Truly a little bit of France in DC. Other than servers who don't speak French, the food and the ambiance scream liberté, fraternité, et qualité.

Absolute enchanting brunch! The service was top notch professional and the food is incredible. Truly. I can be hard to impress and I have been raving about my experience since I ate there. The outdoor dining is super cute so don’t be scared of the outdoor part and they have individual heaters.

It's always a pleasure dining here, and the creativity and effort that was put into building little window chalets to dine in is a reflection of the creativity and effort put into making each dish. The hostess, runners, and our waiter Tim were amazing!

Service was fantastic as well as the food. My new favorite of DC!

Simply the best brunch in DC! The cranberry bread is a perfect start. Lobster omelette with a Romarin is my go to and both are consistently made to perfection. Similarly, the service is always stellar .

Had a wonderful time, the food was excellent, as usual. They did a great job partitioning people outside, providing the atmosphere of outdoor dining with the heat and comfort of dining indoors.

Celebrated my husband's birthday with two dear friends we had not seen in over a year. Had one of the small rooms on the street - which we loved. Outstanding and I mean outstanding waiter - Kristen - very personable, great personality and provided fantastic service. Oysters, pate, escargot, champagne, flowing wine and delicious entrees. A day that we will all remember. LeDiplomate is our favorite restaurant! Can't wait to go again.

Le Diplomate might have just become my favorite restaurant in DC after the experience we had dining there. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and made great recommendations on everything from cocktails to appetizers and entrees. Everything was absolutely wonderful!

Absolutely outstanding. We had a cute outdoor “chalet” which was an adorable atmosphere. Our server, John, was attentive and helpful. We split the pea soup, warm shrimp salad, escargot and a cheese plate. Everything was perfect. I can’t wait to go back.

The Covid-Pivot was flawlessly executed. the individual booths with heating vents made the entire outdoor dining experience great. Food and Service were both outstanding as usual.

When I made the reservation, there was a question on whether this was a special occasion. I checked "Birthday". It was my 50th BD we were celebrating. However, we didn't get any treat whatsoever from the restaurant, not even a free piece of chocolate; we didn't even get 30 more minute than the 2 hr limit. At 2 hr and 5 min, the manager gave us the check 10 min after I had ordered a drink reminding us that our time was up. So I am not sure why the is the question of whether this reservation is for a special occasion or not. I like Le Diplomat because of its bread and ambience; otherwise, the food is very average if not below average.

I had a cocktail, a Boulevardier, it was delicious.

Fantastic place to get some delicious French food. This brasserie was adorable and extravagant. Stop at this establishment whenever you have the chance, we will when we come back to enjoy the autumn.

The chalets along Q street and 14th are nice albeit sometimes chilly places to eat outside with greater safety. Service attentive and friendly. Menu is necessarily fairly limited these days for lunch but the Bouillabaise and appetizers did not disappoint. The proferred bread is also always a fave.

This place is amazing!! Wonderful food and a relaxed environment. Everyone was very kind as well.

Outdoor seating under awning unfortunately some rain so we couldn’t really sit across from each other. Would have preferred the partially covered seating closer to street. Waitress was wonderful and service was great!

Immaculate! Incredible food, flawless service from the runners, bussers, and server, beautiful restaurant, and a great location. The french onion soup is very, very salty.... but luckily our server was very attentive refilling our water :) Snag a reservation and come here for sure! We had a great evening.

I love Le Dip. I am a fussy person by nature, but I can't find anything less than perfect in our last dinner there. My bourbon Old Fashioned was amazing. The bread basket great. My scallops Provencal superb. Our waiter, Michael, excellent. I will be honest and say I don't care much for the 1:30 hr limit, but I understand this is COVID era and necessary. we probably wouldn't have stayed further, but we used every minute of that 1:30 with dessert and coffee.

Always a fan of ale Diplomate, with COVID restrictions they’ve made the best of the situation. Granted we had our own booth and the best service, sitting in the main stretch of 14th can get noisy. But always happy with everything Le Diplomate pulls out!
