    Hidden away in North York, this is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. The food and service are always excellent (and reasonably priced) and the owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. Marjie's chocolate mousse cake is exquisite and the lobster bisque is amazing.

    Our first visit. Slightly haphazard service. Excellent and generous steak cooked perfectly, but the brown sauce could be replaced. Every thing else was great and certainly we will be back.

    My wife and I just celebrated the 20th anniversary of the day we met with a wonderful lunch at Le Montmartre. The service was wonderfully attentive and the food excellent. The sole meuniere was perfectly cooked and seasoned. This place is a gem if you are looking for brasserie more than fine dining (such as L'Auberge du Pommier) and immersion in the sights and sounds of France (all the music and decor is French).

    If u choose any fish on the menu u are up for a great experience. The soup of the day,each visit, is different and delicious. The young lady is very helpful as always.

    Excellent meal, as usual. We were celebrating my 50th birthday, and although we have not dined at le Montmartre for about 2 years due to just being busy and trying other places, we have dined there, and brought friends there at least 7 times in the last 8 years. This is my "go to" French restaurant, excellent flavor, great service, reasonable price and good portions. Great value restaurant in my humble opinion. Thank you for keeping true all these years, from the very first taste 8 years ago until last Friday, you have never failed to disappoint. The various dishes we have tried and others have tried have all received favorable response. I was "happy" on Friday, which means, the meal was very good, I felt very satisfied, and I felt the meal was well worth it. I am glad I chose Le Montmartre again for this special occasion. My compliments to the chef! (Oh, great service also, as usual) I recommend Le Montmartre to people I know who enjoy food or who want to celebrate a special occasion.

    This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the items on the menu sounded delicious. We ordered steak, sole, chicken, and veal. However, most of the dishes were extremely salty, which really affected the quality of the food. The service was pretty good but inconsistent at times ( for example, two separate servers came to out table to offer dessert and coffee). We were very surprised and uncomfortable when the server hovered over our table as we were figuring out the payment.
