Established in the heart of Palm Springs since 1973, Le Vallauris located at the foot of San Jacinto Mountains has been the highest rated restaurant in the Coachella Valley since its inception. The exquisite cuisine at Le Vallauris is prepared by Executive Chef, Jean-Paul Lair, who has graced the restaurant for over 25 years. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 as a home for the Roberson family, who managed Palm Springs' first hotel, The Desert Inn. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite. The renowned patio, adorned with giant Ficus trees, is THE place to dine. The patio is cooled in the Summer and heated in the Winter.

Le Vallauris has developed a famous reputation for outside caterings from 2 to 500 guests. The key to success is that Chef Jean Paul prepares all the food on site, no pre-cooked food is kept in hot boxes for a whole day! Le Vallauris has catered to parties as far as Laguna Beach at the coast. A professional service staff is used to give unobtrusive and friendly service. Weddings and Corporate events are their specialty. Comprehensive packages are available to accommodate budgets. Le Vallauris includes in its packages for up to 200 guests all the equipment needed except tables and chairs.
Private party facilities
Le Vallauris has 2 inside dining rooms for private parties each one with a capacity for up to 50 persons. The Patio can also be used on a "buy out" basis for up to 150 persons and a tree shaded Gazebo is available for up to 100 guests. These facilities are able to use an array of "prix fixe" menus.

We sat down outside in the patio and the ambiance was amazing. They have nice heater to keep you nice and warm. Farouk was our server and he did an amazing job. I was able to do the chef tasting menu (6 course) and it was fantastic. My girlfriend got the menu tasting for December (4 course) and she loved it. I actually thought her tasting menu was better than mine but we both shared a little bit of both menus. We also added the lobster ravioli and it was outstanding. It was my girlfriend first time trying escargot and she really like that dish as well. Farouk thank you so much for making out anniversary beautiful and memorable.

Impeccable, meticulous and scrumptious evening at Le Vallauris!! The atmosphere is classic but not ostentatious at all. Sitting among aged trees and experiencing attentive service throughout the meal. Everything was shiny, and the chef came around to check on us (and even shared some tips for mushroom bisque!). Our dinners were spectacular…I had the Chilean Sea Bass and my wife the Lobster Ravioli….exquisite and nothing overdone. We hadn’t planned to stay for dessert, being so full, but ended up trying the Gran Marnier Soufflé!!!!! SO GLAD WE STAYED. There’s a reason this has been on the menu for 50 years. Super light and absolutely delicious!!! We left with broad grins, full stomachs and pure satisfaction at a retirement celebration dinner well-completed. Thank you Le Vallauris ♥️

Still one of Palm Springs’ best! Carlos, the bartender makes the BEST Margaritas in town. Our server Raymond is without a doubt one of the friendliest and most attentive waitress staff we have ever experienced. The Ocean Trout with mild sauerkraut as an addition to the menu was wonderful. My wife had the chicken breast for the first time and it was moist, tender and perfectly prepared. They get top dollar for their menu; but the excellent execution merits the prices.

Le Vallauris is a Palm Springs classic. A beautiful place to dine. We had early reservations and the patio was lovely and quiet. Our server however was a bit disappointing. I have worked in the high end restaurant industry for many years and know what to expect of good service. I did not feel I experienced it here. It was not busy but our server scarcely checked in at the table. I personally feel he was not interested because we were just having a lite dinner and we weren’t worth his time. We found interaction with the rest of the house pleasant.

We had a lovely evening and Lane was one of the best servers we've met in our hundreds of dining experiences. The historical ambience was I had remembered some 15 years ago. Most of the food was quite good but not exceptional. Remarkably, I had to send the halibut back twice with the first two plates overcooked. $24 for a Manhattan is approaching offensive, and prices overall are simply higher than they should be. Le Vallauris is an experience...... but, it will likely be another 15 years.

We were so looking forward to this meal. The hype is amazing for this restaurant You need to book way in advance, put a credit card down etc It was thanksgiving, we had an early seating, 5:45. We were staying at their affiliated property across the street. Should have been seamless. Trouble finding our reservation, took us first to a very cramped table- did move us to a little more room. They had packed the restaurant like sardines in a can. I guess our waiter wasn’t happy we were in his section bc from the moment, and it took a while, that he came over it was apparent that he was displeased. Long story short : we had to keep asking for water as our glasses sat empty, my appetizer was served tepid ( scallops) our food was average There was no communication from waiter about dishes It was a lack luster affair at best at $110 price fix per person Not sure why the reputation, there are better restaurants in Palm Springs were they actually appreciate you business We will not return. Shame bc we will stay at affiliated property again

Thursday evening Thanksgiving day I had the absolute worst experience at Le Vallauris that I have ever had in all the years dining here. The food was mediocre and the service was neglectful at best. The staff seemed quite indifferent and generally inattentive when serving the wrong orders. I would avoid this place until the new management gets all the newly hired employees trained up.

Soho house has ruined this restaurant. Cheesecake Factory “hostesses” instead of a maitre d’.? Our thanksgiving dinner pre- booked table was “mistakenly “ given away to a walk in couple without a reservation. Sad.

Hello, This is Jean-Paul the executive chef for the last 30 years. I am sorry if you didn't like your Turkey dinner, we haven't changed the way we do the stuffing. It has always been made with pork, bacon, onion celery, and apple. The clientele likes it. I didn't raise the price by much this year and it was disclosed when you made the reservation. Thanksgiving dinner was excellent. Our server was Lane. He was such a joy. Very attentive, personable and not stuffy. Edgar was also very helpful with taking our drink order and checking in with us, even though he didn't have our table. Bruce, the Sommelier, has been spot on with wine selections every time we visit. Jean Paul the Chef comes by the table and makes sure the food he prepared is perfect. Olivier did a wonderful job as the matre de on Thanksgiving. Food great! Service impeccable! Atmosphere beautiful!

This was our second time dining at this restaurant. Our first experience is what brought us back. This is a fine dining restaurant where you would expect both the food and service to be near perfect. Our second experience was a miss. We didn't feel welcomed at all. In fact we sat for way too long before a server came by to immediately take our order before we even had their portable white-board menu to look at (and before taking a drink order). He was awkward and un-prepared. A second server(William) took over and had his act together. When our entrees arrived, one of the two was not the correct dish. The food runner argued about what had been ordered. Finally, the correct dish was delivered. Our server came by to apologize, offered wine and a free dessert. When we ordered our dessert, they again delivered the wrong one. While William very apologetic, no one from management ever came by. We sat for over 2 hours watching all of the tables around us get attentive service. When we finally left, the manager at the reception desk never even looked up to say thank you or apologize for the issues we experienced. The food was delicious for sure, but at this price for a fine dining experience, the inattentive service and multiple service mistakes doesn't encourage a third visit.

What a beautiful restaurant! It's worth sitting in the garden/patio area since heaters make it comfortable. Great service, very attentive staff! We also liked the board with the written menu items. It felt very old school / retro. The food is very pretty on the plate. We loved the gazpacho, the goat cheese & beet salad twist. I'd say while we liked the vegetarian ravioli and tuna tartare, they could use a bit more seasoning to take them to the next level. Maybe a little more salt and acidity in the tuna tartare. Would def return here though!

This has got to be the most romantic restaurant in the desert. So enchanting and beautiful. You really feel like you are someplace truly special. The food, service and attention to detail were perfect. I highly recommend for special occasions
