About

Lee is a culinary destination, an urban meeting place, an irresistible combination of sensory pleasures. Its two sections offer ambiance à-la-carte; choose from the intimate and elegant bar space lined with velvet banquettes, or the chic, buzzing Western dining room with exposed brick and beams. From wherever you’re sitting, the crowd is stylish, the conversation hums.

International Chef Susur Lee has devised a delectable palette of sharing-style dishes, balancing the epicurean traditions of Asia with classical techniques of French cuisine.

The lush, tongue-tingling cocktails blend tropical fruits, herbs, and liqueurs, evoking perfumed and verdant landscapes, the far continents where Susur Lee has travelled.

The slaw was amazing as usual. Some of the heavily spiced meat dishes did not taste fresh

I was the first to arrive within a group of 5 to celebrate a girlfriend’s birthday. When I proceeded to order (1) dish for the table, (the ladies were simply parking their vehicles) our waiter Devon. A highly suggested that I wait in a rather obnoxious tone. I overlooked it and decided to wait for the rest of my group. Once settled, our table was not checked on for quite some time before Devon returned to take our orders. While completing that task, I asked him if he received all the orders from everyone and rather than verbally confirming the orders placed, he spewed a frank “Yes, I got it” before heading to the station to punch our orders in. The entire exchange was rather insensitive and seemingly rushed—a complete lack of hospitality. Needless to say, once our dinner had arrived, the orders were incomplete and/or incorrect which Devon did not rectify (since he was checking in on our table between excruciatingly long intervals), rather, the discrepancy was corrected by another lovely waitress who took the liberty of attending to us. Overall, the experience was terrible. I personally had a very negative experience with Lee’s during my own birthday some few months prior and thus will not be returning to this establishment.

I really enjoyed the ambiance and service was exceptional. Food was ok. I got the Roasted curry chicken which lacked seasoning , we kept getting told by everyone to try the slaw, which was really expensive for a huge plate of slaw with peanuts. To me not worth the price. Hot and Sour soup was my favorite. Overall cute for date night, but that's about it.

Noise factor is a bit problematic

Tables are quite close together so you can hear neighbours conversation

The oysters were not fresh, almost spoiled. I'm a seafood person. So never order oysters here. I got sick. The rest of the food was just ok, lack of flavours. We were celebrating a birthday. They gave us a cake which was nice but they never asked if we were celebrating something we had to tell them. I had high expectations about this place but I'm disappointed that I choose it for a birthday.

Always a great meal - I chose the tasting menu this time and it was lovely (Susur, who was in the restaurant, signed the tasting menu so that was very cool)! I haven't been to Lee in quite a while and it did not disappoint! I will definitely return again soon.

We had the Tasting menu and wine accompaniment. It was terrific. My guests were global high end travellers and were very impressed. That’s hard to do these days.

I have been four or five times now over the years and it’s always special !

Another epic experience at Lee! There are dishes here that just cannot be replicated anywhere .. when you are craving the Slaw or the Duck pancakes there is only one solution. Also: Nice that bringing kids / teens is never discouraged. 13 + 17 year old budding foodies love this place too!

The food and service was wonderful of course but we were packed in right in a corner. Three of us had to stand up away from the table to let the other two people out...

We loved our meal and our servers were great! The only thing that was a negative was our table was at the window over the heater and it was super hot there....other than that we really enjoyed our experience!

This was somewhat a disappointing experience. The slaw salad was lovely, the Satay I ordered tasted great. Two other main dishes: Lamb and pork ribs lacked any taste, were very very bland and unimpressive despite the high price tag. The water glasses were dirty from the outside, the two spoons we were brought for our dessert had a thick layer of food on them. We ordered coffee with our desert and even though the drinks were confirmed with our table twice no coffee was brought at the end. I was very surprised (not in a good sense) with this experience. Judging by the price tag I would have expected slightly more class and cleanliness.

I've dined here a few times during special occasions and it's always great. I would say not every dish wows me and the food is on the pricier end. But I appreciate that the dishes are always inventive and fun to try. You can tell the ingredients are top notch. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and decor is on point. This time, we were seated next to a couple who was having a fight. It was a bit unsavory and the seats are pretty close together, so we had to unfortunately hear the entire argument (and profanity). Other than that, I had a nice dinner and would dine here again.

We waited 30 mins between 1st and 2nd course which was pretty annoying to be honest, but the food, as usual was very good. Apart from the wait for both the beginning and dessert, the food was special, and loved the ambiance.

We chose Lee as the Restaurant for our Valentines date night and as always it was a superb dining experience. Ambience, service and exceptional food are a premier experience each and every time. The off menu items proved to be a tasting delight. We also had the pleasure of a brief chat with Susur as he greeted guests on the evening of our date. Lee is hands down our first choice for dinner when we are in Toronto.
