Lelli's of Auburn Hills
Monday - Thursday: 11:00am -10:00pm, Friday: 11:00am - 11:00pm, Saturday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Sunday: 3:00pm - 9:00pm
Lelli's is an old fashioned steak/seafood house. Waiters still dressed in jackets and ties. Fodd is plentiful and good quality, but pretty basic. No fancy menu items, just steaks and seafood. All entrees can be purchased a la carte of as part of a 5 course dinner. Do order the latter unless your really hungry.
Wonderful meal with a Florida friend. Latosha was a wonderful server. Our friend was impressed!
We had an amazing meal and excellent service. The Filet was delicious! Cooked perfectly. We will be back!
Overall very good, but had been tastier previously
Lamb Chop was overcooked and cold. New chop came out raw although it did heat up nicely.
Old school fine dining at its finest. A little run down, but still classy. Food was delicious and our waiter was great. The strolling minstrels were as vintage as the decor, but enjoyable. Worth the $$
We ordered the calamari appetizer-it was excellent, not at all greasy or tough and seasoned lightly! Husband had the veal parm, I had the sea bass special, both came with twice baked mash potato and green beans. The potatoes were watery, thus the 4 star rating, at this higher price point each item on the plate should be perfect.,..My sea bass was absolutely delicious cooked perfectly. Hubbys veal was also very good. Our waiter, Isiah, was attentive and friendly. It is a lovely, traditional Italian restaurant.
I have been before and thought it was great. This time I believe the food is overpriced for what you get. Also, we battled fruit flies the entire time. We were not the only ones that complained about this issue. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.
Excellent meal and service. I have been eating at Lelli's since 1977 and I enjoy going as much now as I did then.
Only issue we had is there was no music playin at all during our 2 hrs there. Service by Kaylin and her support team was fantastic. Thank you.
Love the multiple courses. Tough to find a better filet anywhere
Salmon, chicken marsala, filet and fettuccine were all first class. My 71st year going and not a single disapppointing meal.
We celebrated my husband's birthday here! Had the traditional selection for our entree! Great choice! Impeccable food quality and professional servers. Highly recommend this one!
Hadn't been here in quite awhile. Enjoyable dinner, but a little pricey. Place is showing its age. Used a Groupon which helped defray the cost a bit. Service was excellent from LaTasha.
Consistently wonderful food (especially the petite filet mignon with zip sauce) and superb service!
Service was very slow. Waitstaff forgot about us multiple times.
Food and waiters were wonderful. lol be the ambience. A bit pricey.
Having read the reviews we didn't know what to expect. In hindsight and in our opinion they were unfairly harsh. We were extremely pleased. The food was wonderful, like you were eating out of your great grandma's kitchen. We went with the multi course meals and enjoyed every round. A little pricey for the fare, and I eat in Chicago on a regular basis to offer that comparison. Give it a try, it was a great night with friends.
Excellent place to take a date to. Great atmosphere, great food.
We jumped across the street as Lelli's was just across from our office and hotel. Service was quite good. The waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Regarding the food - it was so so...We had one gentlemen send back his fish not touched. I had the chicken marsala which was decent. The waitress raved about the trip in butter sauce. Frankly, it was decent at best. I didn't believe the food quality was worth the price. I would not go back for a personal meal.
The food was very good, as usual. However, our service left much to be desired, especially when compared to our last time here when it was excellent. Our waiter was fairly efficient, but not personal at all and most of the night we felt like he was just putting food on our table on his way somewhere else. Very disappointing since the food isn't inexpensive!! However, the young man who was bussing tables and filling water glasses did a great job and was more personable than our waiter!
We haven't been to Lelli's in years and decided to go for birthday dinner
because they had a great groupon deal. The steaks were fantastic! Everything else
just ok our waitstaff was very nice and pleasant but service was very very slow!
It wasn't a crowded night but waited forever to get rolls, to have them come back
when the other people when our party got there and in between just to see if we
needed anything. The gentlemen who filled up water glasses and things like that
was more attentive than our waiter. Like I said he was very nice and maybe he had
all the tables so busy? I thought the plating of the food could have been nicer My daughter got surf/turf with the salmon and the onions she got for her steak were all over the place falling off plates very drippy and salmon lemon sauce same thing just not what you expect for this fine dining experience and prices
I took my husband for his birthday and our meal was fantastic! The waitstaff was also professional and personalable. I could do without the two (man and women) walking around playing music and singing.
Lelli’s is always a fine dining experience! The food is delicious and the service is exceptional. We always order the petite filet mignon and can count on consistent quality.
Do yourself a favor, don't eat at Lellis of Auburn Hills. We made a reservation for Mothers Day, May 13th 2018. Our reservation was set for early evening. We were warned that there would be a delay in receiving our meals. What we didn't know that the kitchen was completely under staffed. We were seated 15 minutes after our original reservation time, which isn't horrible. The wait staff was very polite and professional. However we could have been told that due to an understaffed kitchen the food may be delayed for hours, apologize for the inconvenience and suggest that we dine elsewhere. Instead my family, which included a 7yr old boy and a 1yr old girl spent over 2hrs at a table wondering whether we would eat tonight. My son curled up and fell asleep on the chair. I wanted to be patient. I wanted to have a wonderful dinner with my family. Instead I ignored the signs of other families complaining to their servers and walking out of the resturant. Eventually I came to my senses and gathered my exhausted, hungry family and left the resturant. The only reason I gave the service a fair rating is because they served us what they could, which were drinks, rolls, and some soup after hours of waiting. I don't blame the wait staff completely as they were doing their job, enforced by management, but the owner should have informed those with reservations and shut down the resturant for the day once they knew their kitchen was unprepared for the hundreds of reservations they accepted. I don't know maybe their food is good? I wouldn't know because we never had a chance to try their main meal. Do yourself a favor and dine at a respectable and responsible resturant.
Lellis did not honor the reservation...we waited over 20 minutes, asked when we might be seated, they could not tell us. There were 25 or more people waiting. Then we said we would take a carry out, the desk mgr said ok, we went to try to order a carry out and they said they were not doing carry outs that day. We left. Not a good Mother's Day experience.
We had a 5:45pm reservation for Mothers Day dinner and at 9:30pm WE STILL HAD NOT GOTTEN OUR FOOD. Every table around us had the same problem. Asked for the food the be packed up and when we got home we were given a half portion of everything. Our waitress was amazing and so apologetic. But not once did a manager ever come to our table and apologize. Completely disappointed and will not be coming back.
We had a 5 o’clock reservation but couldn’t be seated until 5:20. Lelli’s offers a five course meal, we had to wait 20 minutes minimum between each course and then when the food arrived it was cold. All in all it was a 3 hour meal. Bus boy service was very good.
Terrible awful horrible. Sat for three hours. Everything was cold and cooked wrong.
Food pretty good but service was very unprofessional. Waiters very young and not very professional.
Awful - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Poor food and very slow service.
The food was sub-par and with the prices Lelli's charges, it should be sensational. Went for Mother's Day - my wife ordered a Filet Mignon medium, I had the Veal Parmesan and one son had the Chicken Parmesan. The Filet came out well-done, dry and tasteless, and both the Veal and Chicken Parmesan were served over a meat sauce, which completely killed the taste of both dishes. It was like eating chili. The service was very slow - we had to wave down a busser for water and more place settings, and the waiter finally showed up 15 minutes later.
Don't waste your time or money.
Had such a wonderful evening Saturday night. Celebrated my boyfriend Matt's 35th birthday and he was sung two twice. Once in Italian and once in English. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and we left with our bellies full! :)
Wait staff was not on their game. Missed soup, missed taking item off the tab that they never served, wait staff was rushed and abrupt.... I've been here before and other staff were excellent, so I mark it up to a bad night, but the place was empty at our dinner hour.
The steak was good as always. Ordered the ala-carte option. I was disappointed with the portion of the potatoes and green beans. Literally I think 6-7 green beans and two table spoons of potatoes. It would have been nice if server had prompted as to the small portions of the sides served when ordering ala-carte. The wait for the food was at least 45-50 mins and the restaurant
didn't appear overly busy at our visit.
We had to wait 30 minutes between our pasta course and the entree. We did not see the waitress the entire time, despite ordering a glass of wine when the pasta came. When the food finally came it was overcooked. It was cut tableside and shredded. Cut against the grain and mangled. The meat was very tough and dry. Then when two of us wanted our food to go, the busser took it and put our sides with the other persons meat. It was strange. $250 for a 3 hour meal that did not taste good.
Your veal chop and chicken livers are among the best meals ever!!
Kitchen was a little backed up so Serviss was a little slow. Enjoyed the music at the table.
This is a much needed break from the normal chain restaurants that are loud and filled with televisions. It was very elegant. We had the 7 course meal which was overall delicious. The filet mignon was so tender and juicy. It is quite expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Check the menu out online before you go to avoid sticker shock when you get there. My only small suggestion for this place is to tell the bus boys to relax a little. It seemed like we took a couple of sips of water and they were there refilling our cups, which is nice but a little much. Also the bus boys reaching over food to grab a used fork or plate seemed awkward. The couple singing and playing guitar and violin at tables for money seemed strange. Our waiter was wonderful and very attentive. Overall I would recommend this place for a special occasion dinner.
Great place to bring a date! The tomahawk ribeye was absolutley delicious, especially with the zip sauce. My wife had the filet mignon and thoroughly enjoyed hers as well. Excellent service and we will definitely be back!
