Kitchen was a little backed up so Serviss was a little slow. Enjoyed the music at the table.
This is a much needed break from the normal chain restaurants that are loud and filled with televisions. It was very elegant. We had the 7 course meal which was overall delicious. The filet mignon was so tender and juicy. It is quite expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Check the menu out online before you go to avoid sticker shock when you get there. My only small suggestion for this place is to tell the bus boys to relax a little. It seemed like we took a couple of sips of water and they were there refilling our cups, which is nice but a little much. Also the bus boys reaching over food to grab a used fork or plate seemed awkward. The couple singing and playing guitar and violin at tables for money seemed strange. Our waiter was wonderful and very attentive. Overall I would recommend this place for a special occasion dinner.
Great place to bring a date! The tomahawk ribeye was absolutley delicious, especially with the zip sauce. My wife had the filet mignon and thoroughly enjoyed hers as well. Excellent service and we will definitely be back!
The beef filet was so tasty and tender, I would highly recommend this entree. The bread rolls are homemade and wonderful. The mango sorbet for dessert was delicious and just the right touch to end the meal. Our server, Jamie, was very friendly and attentive.
We had a very nice meal. Chad our server did a good job with all of our requests. I'm not a fan of the traveling violist and guitarist. Just makes it too noisy to talk to other people at the table. Good food overall.
Very nice meal. Definitely want to go back. Really liked the modest portions. The basic Chianti wine was not toogreat.
The steaks were dine perfectly and delicious. Noise level probably would have gen fine, but there was one very loud person nearby which made it not so quiet
Consistently great minestrone soup and pasta Bolognese.
Great food and wonderful wine list- the veal chop is one of the best I’ve had. Service was lacking when we had two cocktails served in error and we had to wait for the correct ones to arrive.
Our server "John" was excellent. He was attentive yet not over bearing. His experience shows. Ask for "John" your nect time at Lelli's.
Food and service are always amazing. Cameron is a great server and makes the best Caesar salads on the planet!
Steak and bread were good. Definitely worth the cost. The rest? Eh. The antipasto could have been dumped from a grocery store “party tray” and served. Sad little black olives and greasy tasteless salami paired with bland cheese and peprocini peppers from a jar. The soup was a dead ringer for Campbell’s bean with bacon and came out cold. I’ve heard that this place is an institution and has been around for years. I’d mark it as an overpriced Ruth’s Chris wannabe one notch below outback. Also, the wine was super average and overpriced as well.
Food was good. Made accommodations for food allergies. Service was ok.
This was our first time here and it was best steak dinner I have ever had in my life. It was so tender it almost melted in your mouth. This was an hour drive for us each way and we did not look back regretting that at all.
Great food. Traditional is the way to go, but bring your appetite.
Celebrating two birthdays, food was delicious & service by Tracy was amazing!
One of the few, true, 7 course meals in Metro Detroit. No Windows, lowered (but not dark) lighting, ornate modeling, linen cloths, ..., make this fine dining as one with high standards would expect. Have been here dozens of times; LOVE IT. Always great tasting food. Delicious martini's. You can do 'a la carte' and skip the 7 courses. Be prepared to see $10 Martini's, $35 (a la carte) or $55 (7 course) meals PLUS tip. Dress code is very relaxed an permits casual. But honestly, I feel odd not wearing dress pants, dress shoes, and at least a dress shirt. I'm usually in my suit or at least a tie.
All went well except for the server did not get the order right. He did however, bring the asked for food.
This place never changes! Always offers the best in food and service. Our server, John, was impeccable, as was assistant. Nice relaxing atmosphere made all in the party comfortable. Couldn't think of a better spot in the area to go for this occasion. OUTSTANDING!
Arrived on time for our reservations and were told they were running 20 minutes behind, a half hour later we were seated. The food was fair. I ordered veal picata and the sauce was thick they should have just added the capers, artichoke and squeezed on the lemon. I wouldn't recommend ordering it. Soup and salad were good.
Service was very slow. 3 of us dining, my order came incorrect, I ordered the veal chop with Marsala and received veal medallions. My wife’s fish was barely warm and our 3rd dinner was ordered ala carte but we were charged for a full dinner. Had to ask other waiters to get our waitress to the table for both drinks and for dessert
This was probably the best experience that we have had at Lelli's in a long time. Everything about our meal was perfect and our server, Adam, was attentive without being intrusive. We were still talking about how good our food was the next day. Even though the food was excellent, I do think that it is somewhat overpriced.
We had a very nice quiet dinner in a great atmosphere. Our waiter, Ryan, was excellent and answered all my questions well. The prices were high, but it would be a great restaurant to go to for a special occasion. I had a the petite filet and lobster tail and my husband had the sea bass. Both meals were good.
My Grandson had Sea Bass and was very sick after eating a portion of his meal.
My son had taken the balance of the meal home. Looked at the food and through the balance out. Very disappointed in the sea bass dinner.
We have been going to Lelli’s for 40 years now and it is always a special place for us. This time I felt the filet was dry or perhaps over cooked. My chicken parmigiana had meat pasta sauce on it. This made for a strange combination, chicken with a beef flavoring. Perhaps a plain tomato sauce would be better. The chicken was rubbery also, not crispy as perhaps it should be. Our waiter Derek was very nice and made for a nice evening despite a sub par entree which surprised us. This is not as good as I know Lelli’s can be!
Steak was very good, sea bass was mediocre at best (would have been better if simply grilled, rather than "lightly" breaded and swimming in sauce), salads were basic (no nuts, no fruit, nothing special), and prices -- outrageously high. Many restaurants in the area with far better food (better flavors and ingredients) for half the price. I will say that the service was great.
Our dinner date was awesome. The food and drinks were excellent. Our server Ryan was the BEST. I would certainly recommend Lelli's for a great dining experience.
Had a great dinner and a great waiter. A really enjoyable time.
We celebrated our parents’ 50th Anniversary. Had appetizers and Champaign pre arranged to be ready when we arrived. They had a duo of strolling performers who came by and serenades my parents. The server was very, very busy. It may have been better if he had some help. There was too few opportunities to order drinks.
Way too expensive!! Food was pretty good. Not worth the money to be honest. With a $60 bottle of wine, my bill was $400 for (3). The two walking around singing was a little obnoxious. They kept eye balling us to get our attention so they could come over and sing for us. The dude was creepy and the woman was Bh. Ryan on the other hand was a superb server.
The food and service was excellent. Lelli's never disappoints.
I’ve been here plenty of times and had great food and service. After tonight’s experience I’ll never visit again. Longer than half an hour wait after reservation time with no apology. The server didn’t take our order for about half an hour and yelled at us after we called her over. My medium steak was dry and wayyyy oversalted. We did not get a refund for it. The whole staff was incompetent. Looks like this place will be out of business soon. Disgusting.
The food was outstanding, as always. There was a larger crowd than I am used to. Although, i think I usually eat there during the week. Expect a leisurely meal. It is a great opportunity to visit with friends with no time constraints.
We have been to Lelli's many times over the years. This was the first time we have been extremely disappointed. Our reservation was for 6:30. One of the four people in our party did not receive his food until 9:00 p.m. It was his birthday celebration. The server was very apologetic but, for the price of the meals and the prior reputation we have known over the years, again, we were very disappointed.
The food was very nice and service was excellent
Took my girlfriend for our very first Valentines together. Wanted it to be very special as she is the love of my life. Having been to Lellis before, I thought it to be the perfect place. We had 8 pm reservations and did not get seated until 9. We were very understanding as it was Valentines after all. However, once seated, the service was beyond pathetic. Our busboy did a better job of checking on drink refills than our waiter. In fact, are main entree was not brought until almost 11 pm, and this was after we informed the busboy we were tired of waiting and were leaving. Then "magically" after he went and told waiter, our food arrived. We had already left table and on our way out. I paid for what we had to that point despite us both feeling I should have paid for nothing. Especially since we drove an hour on a weeknight just to get there. Then the bill for predinner plates was $54!!!!! Highly doubtful we ever visit Lellis again. Very disappointed.
Pretentious and overpriced, Lellis is decorated like a 70's era Mafia movie. Reservations are not honored, most of the guests waited 40 to 75 minutes to be seated. Food quality was fair, picata sauce had little flavor, bolonaise spaghetti was poor. Eggplant parmesan was good. Lots of better choices for a night out, and you wont have to pay $50 for an entre item.
The self-parking was full, so we had to pay for valet parking ($3+tip). We had a 7pm reservation, arrived timely, but we weren't seated until nearly 8pm. Service was very slow, and we didn't receive our bill until 10pm. The steaks were underseasoned, given the size. My ribeye was overcooked (asked for medium rare, received medium to medium well). The steak were not well trimmed. There were large sections of fat we had to cut off before the steaks were edible. Our server seemed overwhelmed and our service suffered because of it.
