Great food - delicious Brussel Sprouts and Fries...I don’t even eat lamb but the meat balls were to die for. Scallops a little weak - a smidge “smelly” which means they were not exactly fresh...great service. Cute place...just SO LOUD. Don’t go here for a romantic date or if you need to have serious conversation!
So many great dishes from which to choose and all were easily share-able. We got the beet carpaccio, the fried Brussell sprouts, grilled butcher steak, hot chicken, and the chorizo dip. For dessert, we opted for the cookies and milk, but probably should have gone with the fresh peach bread pudding, instead. The rose and pinot noir by the glass was also really nice. Our waiter was terrific, too. Very attentive, but not annoying. We were seated upstairs, where there's another full bar, so a good vibe can be found on both floors. This was a great place to eat before the show at Ram's Head, just an easy walk up West Street.
Fantastic place....if you are ever in the area, you MUST go....order the level vodka gimlet-refreshing and delish. The tuna tartare was AMAZING
We have been to Levels for holiday parties and it was wonderful. This time we brought guests from out of town and wanted something special and edgy for them to experience in our beautiful town. They got History plus edgy! Loved the salad, the pork ribs, the french fries, brussel sprouts, trout and grits and more but....can't remember it all! It was a fun time and every one enjoyed themselves. We will go back many times. Staff was very courteous!
Wonderfully accommodating to our dietary requirements! Delicious!
Great food as always! Love the local and seasonal selections. The main reason to go though are the amazing creative cocktails! I’m mainly a beer drinker but have yet to find a cocktail there that I don’t enjoy.
The food was tasty and filling and a decent value - excellent beet salad, mushroom salad, fried Brussel sprouts. Biggest disappointment was the pork ribs. Drinks (wine/beer) seemed even more overpriced than usual. BUT...it was so noisy in there I thought my eardrums were going to rupture and blood spill out. When we arrived, it was pretty noisy, but it kept getting worse. After a group of 12-14 women (obviously a pre-wedding function) arrived, it became deafening. I know this isn't something the place can readily control, but I could never recommend a restaurant that was as noisy as a concert venue. We paid our check and left as soon as possible.
Really great all around. The Level Gimlet was good on a hot summer day. Food was tapas style with lots of fun choices. You can’t miss on the menu.
The food and service are always impeccable! My friends and I love going here for our ladies night get togethers. 😁
Great replacing evening with very good food and drinks.
Excellent meal at level! The gimlet was probably the best I’ve had. We got tune - excellent. Pesto and pasta SO good and pork which was melt in your mouth good. The seafood board was just ok - not my style. We really enjoyed this place !
Stephanie was an excellent server and provided wonderful recommendations. Both the food and drink are creative and delicious! What a great restaurant!
We really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. A bit pricy but that’s Annapolis for ya. We had dinner before concert at Rams Head and it was perfect with convenient parking behind the restaurant and within walking distance to the concert. I would go again to try more of the creative, delicious food and handcrafted cocktails!
As usual, the food and service were amazing. Loved the new seafood charcuterie board. Dined upstairs and it’s much quieter than downstairs.
My husband and I enjoyed our first meal here. Our waiter encouraged us to order our meal one plate at a time which worked well as we were unsure about the portion sizes. Everything came out hot, delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely go back when visiting Annapolis.
I love going to level, it’s one of my favourite restaurants in Annapolis and it’s always my go-to when there’s a special occasion that I want to keep low key and casual. All the food we had tonight was great, the dishes were interesting, the flavours were rich and it was overall a great experience. My only issue is that it is really hard to hear in there usually. Tonight was a Thursday night, so it was more lax and there were less people, but when it’s poppin’ it’s a jungle. It’s a little overwhelming at times, but even if busy isn’t your thing, the food is well worth the venture. Another great experience at this restaurant.
As usual, delicious and creative small plates offerings! Friendly wait staff makes dining a pleasure. Always make a rez as this is a very popular venue. Prefer to be in the front room for the best people watching!
Excellent food, friendly staff. Fun place for a group meal.
A favorite in Annapolis and we are never disappointed.
Only reason for a good rating was that there was an atypical problem in timing the receipt of plates at our table on the day we were there. Some us had received all of our plates and others had received none. Most of us were finished eating when 3 plates finally came out. We were grateful that Level still took reservations on 4th of July.
As always the food was excellent really enjoyed the house made sangria. Staff was super friendly. Over all a great choice
Nothing too good nothing too bad. Condensation from the AC dropped on my date, she’s hot so it was ok.
Food pretty good. Service a little slow but I’m impatient.
I’d probably eat here again.
I also suck at reviews so there’s that.
The AC was blasting and dripping condensation on us, but the service was very good, and the food and drinks were tasty, with two exceptions. The spicy feta dip was bland, as was the cheese gnocchi (served with squash that tasted spoiled).
Great food, wine menu changed and not very pleased with new options.
Each dish was tasty and distinct - we had fun sharing! The service and excellent and the atmosphere lively but not overwhelming for conversation. Loved it!
Our third visit in the past month, and Level is now one of our most favorite West Street restaurants!
Our waiter, Sam, was an informative delight; he waited on us twice of the three visits. Food is creative and very tasty!
In the area saw a few reviews for Level Small Plate and figured we'd try it. Wow, it was great. If you want fancy you should be someplace else but for yummy food, locally sourced, at great prices and a welcoming staff this is the place for you. Only disappointment is that I live 45 minutes away. Wish I lived close enough to be a regular. Love that they also provide health insurance to their employees too!
Service was terrific and the food delicious. We had the crispy brussel sprouts, banh mi rolls, hand cut fries, tuna tartar, pork ribs, and each was mouthwatering!
It’s our go back to place in annapolis. Servers were just fantastic! Thank you
My fiancé and I were out for date night. We made a reservation for the hightop tables and were seated in the wrong section. But, it was fairly busy so we didn’t worry too much about it. Our service was extremely slow the rest of the night. The food is okay, but not amazing. My other experience at Level was similar. The small plates / shareable concept gives the restaurant novelty, but ultimately I feel that the restaurant is way overhyped.
I had a great Father’s Day dinner. The food was excellent. My wife really love the “beet” carpaccio. Lol...
The place itself is very nice; server was attentive and caring. However, the restaurant was very cold and somewhat loud. It was hard to hear the waiters as they came with the food. The food itself was very hit or miss. Some things had interesting combinations, but with very strong, almost unpleasant flavors. Some things were flat out undercooked or overdressed. The presentation was good, but not exceptional.
Though the food is as inventive and good as always, the last few times we have been in the service has been quite slow and sporadic. This even when it is not too crowded.
Good as always!
We found Level online when searching for a restaurant to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. I went gluten-free a few months ago, so dining out has been a bit challenging. There were quite a few choices at Level that fit the bill and I didn't feel cheated at all. The scallops are so good, we had to order them twice!! Also, the drinks are amazing. I had the Bourbonapolis and it was to die for!
Service was really awesome. It was a little cold in the restaurant but that is really the only this negative I could say. The food was amazing and the server was really knowledgeable. I am gong back ASAP :-)
Jakes the best, great food and welcoming atmosphere.
Outstanding restaurant, centrally located on West Street. Food was the best and our waitperson was super helpful and friendly! We shall return and recommend.
Requested that two of their craft cocktail, Bourbonapolis, were ready at the table, and they were. Freshly made. Our waitress was on top of her game. My date, who was visiting for the first time, was very impressed, as I am every time.
I'll definetly be back!
Long-time favorite Level continues to perform at a high level: The food is not just creative but uniformly excellent; the service is present when needed and unobtrusive when not; and the ambience is uniformly comforting. The restaurant remains a place where you can confidently take friends with conflicting food preferences and needs (e.g., vegan, fiber-intolerant). The only shortcoming? "Pot de crème" still hasn't returned to the dessert menu.
Great food, good customer service and fun place to eat.
