Monique was our server.. excellent! Good delicious and plenty. Can’t wait to come back
The lobster bisque is the best I have had in the city.
LeVilla has become our favourite restaurant. Every time we go there we are greeted by friendly staff and always leave knowing we have had a beautifully presented delicious nutritious meal. LeVilla never disappoints. We love LeVilla.
We visited this past weekend for my wife's Birthday (Noted on the reservation), we were a little early and were promptly seated in the glassed in patio area, we had a nice table in the corner but due to the cold temperatures there were some drafts making our seating area quite cold. We asked to be moved which they did in short order.
We started off with an appetizer of the Parmesan Frites, was not very good or impressive by any means, looked like frozen fries with a couple petals of parmesan on top, no truffle oil to be found.
For my wife's entree she had the Lobster Tail, this was pan fried with roasted potatoes and asparagus topped with some mushroom / wine sauce. She thought it was ok but didn't knock her socks off by any means.
I had the Cajun Ribeye with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables with a side of Marsala Mushroom Sauce, this to me was about as impressive as the Parmesan Frites, lots of gristle and just not good at all......I wouldn't recommend.
After dinner the waitress (Allison) came over to ask who's birthday it was, I pointed to my wife and she offered a dessert wine for her and myself, I declined since I was driving so the waitress brought her wine over and a cherry coke in the same port glass for me so we could drink together which was a nice touch.
We then shared a Chocolate Cheesecake which was VERY good and would recommend! I guess they make these in house.
While we have been to Le Villa multiple times over the years (Even got engaged there) for some reason even despite the service being good, this visit just didn't seem to meet expectations or feel like the value was there.
We enjoyed our total dinner experience. Our server was fantastic! The food was delicious. Our first table was very cool and we were moved beside the fireplace which was very comfortable.
Door was good service was very slow. Unusual. We must have hit a very busy time
Fabulous service and wonderful food. Didn’t think it was outrageously priced, we were quite surprised.
Had the cheesecake for dessert, best ever. Happened to be the baker who was our server, made her day when we told her that!
Great food and service, a little pricey but you get what you pay for. 10/10 would go again
Valentine’s Day organization was a miss. Everyone seemed in the weeds. Moving tables had the servers and runners off all night it seemed. Bread came after first course? Food was cold throughout. Suggest regrouping and being organized for a $300+ setting. Would question attending again...
I’ve had many great meals here, last night was not one of them. It was busy, but that’s not an excuse for poor and slow service. Having to ask repeatedly for cutlery and water shouldn’t happen in a restaurant of any caliber. My main course came out so tough and dry I could hardly swallow it. I don’t send back food often. On this occasion I had too. Overall this experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
If you enjoy great food and top notch service, this is the place, i recommend this restaurant to anyone that has great taste. I will come back again.
Would have preferred a table in the window room. Normally would go to the The Keg for prime rib Your prime rib was much better. Traveled all the way from Douglasdale in cold winter conditions and well worth the 40 min drive
Great as usual
Visited for my husband’s birthday. We booked Saturday at 6:30pm through Open Table and requested a seat near the fireplace. They didn’t disappoint. It was nicely lit in the patio area and the wood fire was great. Very romantic setting.
We both ordered the Steak Neptune (rib eye) rare and it as perfectly cooked. The scallops and shrimp were also cooked perfectly. The sides were veggies and mashed potatoes which were excellent. It was quite a bit of food for us both. We got ambitious and also got a side of sautéed mushrooms. Delicious but a huge portion we weren’t expecting. Extra sides are not for the weak!
For dessert we got the orange and white chocolate crime brûlée. It was fantastic.
Our server Allison was attentive, friendly and brought us some dessert wine for our birthday celebration.
Overall a great experience!
Excellent food and service as expected! Always a pleasure to dine at LeVilla.
I hadn’t been to Le Villa in years, but it was exactly as I remembered it - great food and service. Decor is different, but cozy from what I remember. I think this will become my new favourite restaurant for special occasions and family get togethers.
On January 24th, we went to LeVilla for my wife’s birthday. We’d eaten there a few times before and really enjoyed it. On this occasion, the starter soup and main course were excellent. However, the desert was terrible - the “warm kahlua pecan pie” had a thin dry crust, no filling, no hint of kahlua and the pecans were not fresh.
But the service was what really left such a bad taste in our mouths. It was extraordinarily poor service. There were long periods throughout the entire meal when the server was not available and not attendant. (It’s important to note that the restaurant was not full that evening.). At one point when we asked for water, she said that she would be right back, but after 10 minutes we asked someone else for water. When we ordered tea, she brought the tea bag, a mug and a teapot without water. When she came back almost 15 minutes later, we had to ask for the hot water. The server would often pass by just two tables away but not look over or check on us. When we wanted to order dessert, we had to wait another long period before we were able to catch her attention. After we were finished, we had another long wait before she asked if we wanted our bill. She brought the bill after 10 minutes, along with a broken pen. She said she’d be right back but never returned. After another 10 minutes, my wife left the restaurant and I found our server near the kitchen, picking up plates of food to bring to other diners.
If this is where the level of service has dropped to, we will likely never return to LeVilla and certainly would not recommend it to anyone else at this time. Very disappointing birthday dinner!
The restaurant was cozy and comfortable and stylish. Our server Monique was very knowledgeable of the menu and wine. She also happened to be great fun and added to our enjoyment of the evening. The food was delicious.
We love it here!! Always great food and great service!
Kitchen troubles plagued our meal with erroneous orders and over and under cooked items. But the food was good; just not up to our usual standard. The service was excellent and this is one of the reasons we really enjoy LeVilla.
After innumerable visits, LeVilla still retains its' excellence in every category ...
The service was terrible. For that reason alone I would not go back. It is too bad...it was nice to have a restaurant close to home, however the food and especially service has gone downhill substantially.
The steak Diane was lovely.
LeVilla provided an amazing location and menu for a birthday lunch with my mother. From the ease of online booking and suburban parking to the delicious chocolate lava cake dessert, everything was effortless and delicious. The dessert was requested by myself during my online booking and the staff handled all details without even needing my participation - truly a sweet surprise for my mom! Thanks to LeVilla and their staff. Can’t wait to go back.
Very quiet as it was cold outside so had most of the place to ourselves!
Arrived at 11:45 am and it was not busy at all. Had a great table and excellent waitress. The only thing I was somewhat disappointed in was that there was no lunch special ( not a big deal ).
Looking forward to our next meeting there.
Great food - always a pleasure! Servers are very helpful and responsive to any/all requests. Because it is fairly quiet, are able to have conversations even with a large group.
We !always enjoy the food at Le Villa. No matter what the occasion it is always fun to spend time with friends and family at this beautiful restaurant. We will continue to celebrate our special occasions at LeVilla!
Thank you so much to the wonderful chefs and excellent servers who make this a great dining experience.
LeVilla was a very comfortable and inviting restaurant. The staff were exceptional and the food was amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
If we did recommend it to a friend then they might get the last table on a night we were planning on going chuckle chuckle
New Year’s Eve dinner.
Very good overall. Dessert was disappointing in that Grand Marnier crepes barely had a whiff of Grand Marnier, and chocolate sauce was only a drizzle. Salad was excellent, beef tenderloin appetizer was superb, and the Cajun shrimp appetizer was very good. The Rib Eye steak main was very tasty, as was Halibut, and the acompanying risotto was excellent. The Bloody Caesar was really tasty as was the Sangria. For a $85 4 course New Year’s dinner we were expecting greater high level consistency, considering LeVilla is one of our favourite restaurants and rarely disappoints.
We have been to this restaurant on several occasions and it never disappoints. Food is always excellent, service is first class and ambience is great. Would definitely recommend this place.
The food was very good however the front of house was very unorganized and we were ignored most of the evening. The management failed to have bartending staff on New Year's Eve so the servers all had to make their own drinks which meant nothing else was running on the floor. We sat with empty dishes on our table for an unreasonable period after each course even though there was often plenty staff wondering about empty handed. Also the chairs need to be redone as the seats are so worn out you end up sitting below the frame cutting off circulation - if you're going to be slow, at least make it comfortable
Booked at he last minute, so pleasantly surprised to get fabulous seating location.
Wasn't aware it was a limited/set menu from the reservation information.
The steak was very fatty and about 1/4 of the steak not consumable; the scallops seasoning was not to or taste. The chocolate dessert was also not to our taste.
Service was spotty- while pleasant, our server disappeared for an extended period in the middle of the service.
Experience was nothing special.
LaVilla doesn’t disappoint. Enjoyed our dinner very much. Prime rib and Yorkshire pudding delicious.
Delicious meal. Perfect ambience, wonderful service. One of our favourite places.
Just totally blah in general. Starting off by charging $1 each for water? Dear Owner, that screams: "I'M CHEAP!" Everyone expects filtered water. No one cares that your system has a pretentious name.
The cocktails were OK but underwhelming and, let's be clear, whoever made that menu to include a French 75 with prosecco instead of champagne should be embarrassed.
The bison meatballs were well seasoned but an absolutely horrible value at $16 for four small balls. I don't know why everyone on here is so happy about that dish.
The lobster bisque was creamy and warm and flavourful, and overall very good!
Both mains came out lukewarm, my partner's mashed potatoes cold enough to send the whole meal back to be redone (and, to the kitchen's credit, when the tenderloin came back out piping hot, it was delicious).
Our server was very good and quite friendly, and apologetic when we did have to send something back. She was probably the best part of the meal.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend visiting this restaurant, which falls far short of delivering the quality the prices on its menu demand. 2/5 stars.
