The new bar was very well done. We actually decided to eat at the bar in the Hilton Lobby. The energy and service were excellent. We very much enjoyed the Fried Chicken Salad.

Great restaurant within Hilton. Great place to meet friends before any event at the convention center which is literally across the street or you can use the sky bridge to the convention center.

The food was great! The service was very slow. It wasn’t all that busy in the restaurant and they seemed to have plenty of staff. It 15 plus min to get water to the table. Didn’t care to provide a wine menu even when asked. Overall I don’t recommend this place unless you at least an hour and a half to spare.

There were items listed online that were not on the menu. Yes, menus are subject to change, however, these are what sometimes make our decision to go. I didn’t find an issue with the service, just feel that it can be tighter. For a hotel restaurant, I expected a little bit more in the food, service and vibe. It’s nice, and I will say I am happy I could at least find a menu online because a lot of hotels you can find hardly any information at all.

The food was excellent and the server was very nice. However, the service was a little slow. In addition, the restaurant is located in the Hilton lobby and the restaurant had a lot of noise from the hotel lobby. Finally the seating was very crowded. However, we were able to get late reservations on Valentine's Day and some got seated quickly even without a reservation. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Waitress didn’t seem worried about us. After waiting for our food I was told my food was burnt in the kitchen. So finally 25 minutes later it came out. Maybe come if you are over 30 yrs. They didn’t care to much on the younger people.

If I could give zero stars I would. Had a reservation and waited 15 min to be seated, then waited an hour for my food to come. No-one offered to see if I wanted a drink or bread. I almost got up and walked out several times. When the food finally arrived my order was wrong, twice. The food was also not a great quality, the salmon tasted very basic like something you would buy at Hy-Vee. The kids bread and fries are were cold. The butter for the rolls I had to ask for looked used and re-refrigerated. The servers were as miserable as I was. It was beyond horrible.

If zero stars was possible, this would qualify. Awful experience. Food wasn't good. I had a three-course dinner option that included fish & chips as well as a bread pudding dessert. The kitchen must have used a spatula from a pot roast to plate the bread pudding because I got a nasty bite of savory, oniony bread pudding for my last bite! Yuck! OpenTable App said that parking was free in attached garage as long as I spent $25 or more. We did just that and then our waitress and next, the manager (Mia) wouldn't honor the validated parking. They say they no longer have a way to do so, as the garage has been sold. Even when I showed them that their page within the app clearly shows this covered, they wouldn't compensate at all. Eventually, I went to the hotel front desk and after another 15 minutes of complaining the food & bev manager agreed to take care of the parking -- he was by far the only competent person I met at the hotel that night. I've never experienced worse service and certainly as a Hilton Diamond Member I will not return to this establishment.

We have been to Liberty Tavern many times. Tonight was exceptional. They have made improvements to their food preparation and presentation. Our server, Donavan, was very attentive and a pleasure to interact with. He is new to the restaurant. A great addition to serving staff. Management checked to be certain we were happy with our meal. Thank you for a nice evening.

Really unhappy with our experience last night . Made a reservation for dinner about a month ago. When we arrived last night found out restaurant was closed for the hotel remodel. The makeshift space we ate in was cold , dark and unpleasant. We normally order wine and a nice meal with apps, steak, desserts wine etc.. I just ordered burger as not interested in anything else after being treated like this. Was told they tried to call me, no one called yesterday. Food was just ok , fries had some kind of sweet on them -ick. Bartender was not busy and not engaging at all. Service was ok at best . We’ve eaten many wonderful meals here in the past but this experience means I won’t be back . This morning my friend that was staying at the hotel was told the restaurant wasn’t closed due to construction but due to low census! That might be worse!

Seated early and still was late for Creighton basketball tipoff! No communication - construction going on and poor staffing with excuses about why it took over an hour to serve 3-burgers and 1-BLT...really? Will not be back and won't recommend for certain. UGH!

We'd have had a better dining experience at a homeless shelter. The buffet was not in the usual dining room where we had enjoyed two previous Thanksgiving dinners, which apparently is undergoing renovations but haphazardly tossed together in a 2nd floor meeting room. Makeshift dining tables with oversized tablecloths were set up in the hallway outside. Many of the trays were empty; we had to find someone to let them know and then wait for more to be brought out. The food was good but completely cold. When we complained to a manager, he dashed off "to see about getting the trays heated properly" but didn't bother to apologize. We had to ask our waiter if there was a microwave available. Before making the reservation I visited the Liberty Tavern website. Neither their website nor Open Table's made any mention of the renovations or inconvenience. Hilton should be ashamed. Our waiter plainly was and comped our meal.

My friend in I really enjoyed our experience for Thanksgiving at Liberty Tavern. I would have give it five stars on everything but my goodness: no mashed potatoes on with a Turkey, dressing and gravy dinner? Only cold chunked up fried potatoes that had sweet apples in them. And did I say they were cold. That was a huge disappointment to me. They did have a lovely sweet potato casserole that was perfect. But they should have really had mashed potatoes and the meal would have been perfect! And I did think it strange that there were no vegetables. Other then a green salad and a pasta salad. No corn, no green bean casserole. I thought that odd. The meat however, was perfection. The turkey was moist and savory, the prime rib was fork tender along with a wonderful horseradish sauce. I would go again for the meat alone!!! Our server was very good and I enjoyed the festive atmosphere. Oh one more thing that would improve is either the size or shape of the two top tables. They were too small and too short to get ones legs under. My friend and I are both tall women and it was impossible to get comfortable at the table. But I enjoyed the meal and ate more then I should, I would possibly go again next year. If they just had some mashed potatoes!!

Let me start by saying I have spent several Holidays eating at the Liberty Tavern and have had excellent experiences. Today, that was not the case. The meal was served in the ballroom area of the hotel this year but i do not think that was a factor in my issues. There seemed to be plenty of staff, both wait staff and folks in the Buffett area, but our waiter was mostly absent and we had to ask others for drink refills. The food itself was warm at best. Prime rib, stuffing, turkey and the gravy, everything. No one was tending to the food keeping it stirred and hot. Needles to say the experience was not was I expecting. I will at some point come back to try again but for Easter we will be trying the Marriott.

I was disappointed this year. We have come there at least 10 times for Easter, and thanksgiving. I will be looking for some place else this upcoming Easter. Moving it up stairs it took away from it. Roaming around that ballroom to find your food was not ideal at all. It made it seem like there was no food. I was kind of embarrassed because I brought my daughters new BF and he is a manager for several local restaurants. He made the comment that we would wear off the calories just getting our food. There were tons of empty tables and we were sat at the second from the end. The person seating us knew I was having a difficult time getting to the table and still she took us so far. The choice of food seemed very limited compared to previous yrs. the corn bread stuffing had a lot to be desired. The prime roast was weird mainly because the worker had a knife that was so dull. Went back to our table and I could cut it with the butter knife faster then he did with a carving knife. We all laughed at our table because of that. The shrimp was over cooked. I don’t eat turkey so can only go with my daughter who said it was so dry. She took her plate back in and put gravy on it to eat it. She doesn’t eat red meat and the salmon was over cooked as well. Only 2 types of salad dressing and neither a vinaigrette was a bad call as well. Dorothy lynch seriously. The pumpkin brûlée top was not crunchy. You could sink your spoon in, no crunch. The other desserts we had were good. We had lots being we didn’t eat much of the savory side of your buffet. Having breakfast food was disappointing as well. A $30 Thanksgiving dinner with bacon and eggs is weird. So between moving it upstairs and the difficulty in getting up there and the food we will not be back. We all said that we could have been as happier if we went to Golden Corral, not impressed this yr. I am giving this review only to tell you If your count is down next yr.

We have been to Liberty Tavern many times this had to be the worst. 1. Ordered a martini on the rocks and it came as a regular martini no rocks. I was billed for a double at a whopping $22. I did not order a double and had I known I would not have ordered two but yes the bill for my 2 martini on the rocks came to $44. When I asked for validation for parking which open table had said they would for a 4 hour period the servers and the manager said they do not validate. Will not be going back.

Made 1230 lunch reservations. Went through the hassle of parking in garage at hotel. Went in to restaurant. Not a soul in sight except two people with watery drinks at the bar. Walked around the restaurant looking for people. Went to front desk and they called restaurant. No one answered. Left to another restaurant down the street. Frustrated with not only the no show staff but also the hassle of parking.

We were there on a very busy Sunday morning, but having a reservation seems to be a must. I ordered the egg white Fritatta, which they indicated would take 10 minutes, which was fine. However, when this arrived, it was not a fritatta at all, but rather scrambled eggs(not egg whites) in an small, oval cast iron casserole. To the best of my knowledge, a fritatta is supposed to be flat. It tasted OK, but was not what I was expecting.

There was a "pre charity event" crowd in the bar, with a DJ spinning tunes at a level that was 10x louder than the Phil Collins convert at the CHI later that evening. The restaurant is adjacent with no noise barrier, so for the first half of our meal, we leaned across the table and upped our volume to talk. Luckily the crowd made its way upstairs to the ballroom and the DJ turned down the volume. We were seated at a very small table for 2 up against a wall with very uncomfortable chairs. It was okay once I angled my chair so that I was sitting back in the chair with my legs crossed. But sitting normally in the chair for an hour and a half would not have been fun. Our server was pleasant, her only faux pas was to drop off our bottle of wine and she's be back t open it (about 10 minutes later). Luckily it was a twist top, so we didn't wait. The food was better than we expected. So, good marks for that. It took a tad longer to get it out, but not egregiously. The server offered to comp us our main courses "because of the wait", but we said no. It wasn't close to being a problem. The price was fine. I don't know if the ridiculous noise level was just an aberration, but I think that there are better options downtown for a pre-concert dinner.

We went for lunch. It was nice and quiet. The service was prompt and they have a ice of foods to please different palates. The shrimp and grits were very tasty and the shrimp well cooked although overall the dish was a little oily. That didn’t stop me from enjoying all the cheesy goodness of the grits, though! It was just a nice, comfortable place to have a sit-down lunch and enjoy the cool air during the hot summer.
