The three Michelin-starred restaurant Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in Mayfair, traditionally the smartest address in town, represents a new approach to fine dining. Professionalism and attention to detail are always paramount, but there is a new aura of whimsy and pleasure as well. The restaurant’s spectacular, elegant interior - by design team Jouin Manku - and breath-taking dining experience has enchanted London’s gourmets and critics. For most mortals, a meal at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is dining for special celebrations, and the sublime quality of the food and the easy pomp of the service live up to expectations. Favourite dishes include Native lobster, artichoke and Périgord truffle or Cornish turbot, Kalibos cabbage, chestnut and clementine.

About the restaurant
Welcome to Freemasons at Wiswell, where fabulous food is served in an elegant and relaxed rural setting. The inn is located in the 'chocolate box' village of Wiswell, near Clitheroe, in the picturesque Ribble Valley. Since our transformation and reopening in the summer of 2009, we have created a loyal clientele and a genuine home-from-home atmosphere. Flag stone floors, walls in muted heritage colours, antique rugs and furniture, period paintings and prints all unite to create a stylish and comfortable setting. Our bar has an excellent selection of traditional cask conditioned ales from award-winning independent breweries and is complemented by a superb cellar with over 250 wines from around the world. While the surroundings and welcome are inviting, the main reason to visit is, of course, our food. Chef/patron Steven Smith has created a unique and diverse menu that perfectly matches the style and atmosphere, and we will be delighted to welcome you for a true gastronomic experience.

This fabulous dining spot, just off of London’s famous Bishopsgate is the work of celebrated Chef-Restaurateur brothers, Chris and Jeff Galvin, and epitomises their approach to designing and running restaurants in every sense. Indeed, Galvin La Chapelle has all the wow-factor of Windows with the stylish refinement of Galvin Bistrot de Luxe while carving out its own very unique character at the same time. The interior is truly special, as is the food – cosmopolitan, continental and wholly elegant every step of the way, creative but familiar, special but unpretentious – no wonder Galvin La Chapelle was named Tatler’s Restaurant of the Year 2010 and AA Best London Restaurant 2010.

I chose the chicken satay skewers. Sadly the chicken was burnt on the outside and very dry . The coconut and peanut dip tasted only of mayonnaise. The fries were okay. My partner had the suet pudding and mashed potatoes. He ate it all. We had a chocolate pud with vanilla ice cream. The chocolate cake was dry and the vanilla ice cream was grey and didn't taste of vanilla at all. Very disappointed. We have eaten out every night on the CtC and it's been really good but last night even though I was very hungry I left my food. So it wasn't good .

A local gem of a restaurant serving delicious contemporary British cuisine at remarkable prices - particularly the 2/3 course set menus which we chose. A simple menu of well cooked food makes selection easy and wine by the glass was perfect for lunch. Quick and efficient service made dining a pleasure. The restaurant was also free from background music which allowed us to enjoy lunch and conversation - all too rare these days. We chose to dine opposite the chefs in comfortable banquet seating for two and tables are well spaced. Otherwise head towards the back and sit beneath the skylights.
