The view from the table was very nice....watch the sun set and see the fields where the fruits and vegetables are grown. The desserts were amazing, had the espresso creme brulee and the apple pie cheesecake.

It was our first time at Farouz. We were celebrating a birthday and Farouz offered a great atmosphere. We were very satisfied. The food and drink prices were higher than the restaurants we usually frequent. So Farouz will be for special occasions.

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary with a 1245 lunch. The staff was very friendly and welcoming gave us excellent service and provided us both with complimentary desserts. Very enjoyable meal we will definitely be back.

Everyone (even the carnivore in the group) loved the meal. And ensured the celiac member was fully protected. Bang bang broccoli is a must. Love the lettuce wraps. Loved the cheesecake dessert. And perhaps my favourite thing was the mezcal cocktail with green garnish (name forgotten)- not sweet, great flavour. Excellent service

In summer, the secret garden patio opens for al fresco dining in the heart of the city.

The second floor houses the grand Sala da Pranzo and Bar delle Carceri, named after the cells below. Il Covo degli Artisti, our third-floor space is a cosy lounge once home to The Arts and Letters Club where Canadian landscape painters “The Group of Seven” ate and drank in 1909.

If you want to feel boujie (not on a budget) this is the place to be. We reserved a table for 4 which came with bottomless mimosas and 3 course set menu, $69 per person including tip. The service was amazing; they accommodated a last minute gluten allergy and my friends were late to the reservation. The server was super understanding and didn’t rush us, so we definitely appreciated all of this. We started with scones (they were tiny - pictured in the cage) with a very modest serving of preserves for 4 people. The second course you could choose one of two options from the set menu, both are pictured. We got 3 eggs Benny at our table and everyone’s poached eggs were hard (we wanted runny yolk, maybe ask for that specifically if that’s what you want as the server didn’t ask). My partner also had a tiny serving of preserves with his meal (as seen in the photo). We asked for more preserves for my partners extra scones that came with his meal and they allowed that- so thank you! Overall we were expecting more bang for our buck. We found that the cost for the amount and quality of food didn’t add up, however the atmosphere and bottomless mimosas was exactly what we needed. We will be returning for the vibes and nibbles but eating a meal elsewhere as the cost for value didn’t make sense.
