Our visit to the Anchor Spa couldn't have been better. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in. We were seated at a comfortable booth with plenty of room for everyone. I'm an old Anchor patron from many years ago so I wondered if I would approve of any 'change" to the classic decor. Well, I approve and then some. It's been brought into the 21 st century but with a respectful nod to its glorious past. As for the food we had everything on the menu and enjoyed it all. Our server was a lovely young woman who was busy but always available when we needed something. I get down to New Haven to visit family now and then and the Anchor will be my "go to" spot for dinner and drinks. Thanks to all who helped us with a special thanks to Monica for her excellent service online. See you all soon. Ron

Went on a Saturday afternoon and am so glad to have stumbled upon this place! The mimosa flights had real fruits in them! The shrimp and grits were to die for! The staff was attentive and the drinks were strong and good.

We came here for our 5 year wedding anniversary and it was such a great night. They gave us glasses of Prosecco which was nice (it was good too!). In fact everything I ate was really quite amazing. I had the salmon in crispy rice which was delicious - fresh, crunchy, chewy. Then I had the burger. I’ve never really tasted something like that before. I don’t even know how to describe the flavors other than just really ridiculously tasty. My partner got the shrimp cocktail which he loved and the filet mignon, which while he said was very tasty and had an amazing flavor it was chewy in a way that a filet mignon should not be. He made our server aware and the server was so apologetic and was sure to tell the chef. He still ate the whole thing though so it couldn’t have been that bad. So then since the server felt so bad he gave us some Nutella crème brûlée on the house. It was the perfect ending to such a tasty meal

The service was exceptional. My waiter made sure throughout I didn't need for anything and my food was great. I also put in description celebrating a birthday and I received a free glass of champagne which I didn't expect (Thank you) and my waiter made sure to let us know about weekly specials, I'll be back for sure. I was recommended this restaurant by a family member for Brunch we had such a good time. They have such good food and their Brunch menu comes with a big rhum punch. I enjoyed my time here at victory. I was hesitant at first, due to the mixed reviews, but my friends and I had a great time. Our waiter Stephanie was very attentive and helpful.
